With another alternative project using the lovely Sentimental Rose kit stamps...
They will keep giving after all...
All set on an Angled Corner Layer card ...
The stamps that keep giving! Long after the kit has been used...
The son and heir has been home for a little while so my focus went elsewhere!
Used along with the stamps from the new Sentimental Rose Card Kit... as the leaf images co-ordinate so well together!
And I still can't believe the value of these new Card Kits... stamps, ink, clear block and 9+ cards then kind of for free! Or vice versa!

Card Recipe & Tutorial
This is a tweak of the measurements used in this previous version of the card... as I realised that the card could look better and more balanced in a C6 envelope... so it just had to be done! This will now be my go-to A6 size...
A4 Card Basic Grey 21 x 14.8cm. Score LANDSCAPE 5, 7.5, 13.5 & 16cm
Paper (Sides) 4.5 x 14.3cm (x2)
Paper (Centre) 5.5 x 14.3cm
Very Vanilla ( Back) 5.5 x 14.3cm
The Memories & More Card Packs are great for cardmaking and scrapbooking, but there is even more you can do with these double-sided printed cards—like create fabulous home décor! The lovely What A Year Card Pack has been used here to great effect... You could even add photos to a banner to display them in a fresh, new way—or as a way to capture memories. One of these would be great for a wedding reception, a baby shower or a special birthday décor? |
Tip: If your photo colours clash with the Memories & More colour combo, print them in black and white or sepia and they’ll blend right in! |
And... so sorry for the extended radio silence... but WOW... the last 2-3 weeks - including my first class in 16 months - didn't quite go as planned! All is good... but a few things conspired against me at the time... so been busy busy busy as a result... but back now! Just need to catch up with myself properly over the next week... which includes lots of projects to photo!! |
WED 7 July - EDITED TO ADD - Do not fear - I am not posting at present as my other life has got busy! But all is good... And that will be the case into next week... so normal service won't resume till then...
Just a quick note to tell you that I haven't actually switched off the Feedburner email notification system yet... so you should still be getting 2 emails telling you I have posted to my blog... One from follow.it (new service provider at about 5pm UK time (11am GMT-5)) and one from Google Feedburner (old) at various times over the past week!!?...
I am just waiting for clarity on a logistical issue before I can switch the old Feedburner service off for everyone... please continue to bear with me....
Thank you to all of you that have switched onto the follow.it service already... There are a few new options for you with the service and I will be back with more information on those at some point... I am just working out the details myself! Particularly wrt timings of my blog posts/ email notifications... I believe that most of you will be getting a follow.it email about 5pm UK time (11am GMT-5)
Get (or want) an email telling you that I have posted? Don't know what I am talking about today? Missed last Friday's post? Then just CLICK HERE and all will become clear!
And use the SUBSCRIBE button down the right hand side of this blog page if you want an email notification that I have posted... instead of the daily visit for the "has she or has she not posted today"...
So... amongst lots of things in the background over the past year... I have spent a lot of time sorting through boxes and boxes of retired products, past makes and Stampin Up event shares...
And I came across these Memory Cards... from the In Love with Stampin forum days that we enjoyed pre-Facebook... and from the first UK Stampin Up! 'convention' down in Surrey... about 10 years ago...
An idea introduced by the lovely Jenni Pauli of paulinespapier .de blog fame... to make and share memory cards with both a photo of the demonstrator and a sample of their stunning handiwork... Such a very special part of that event...
Though it is funny to observe that most of the German and French demonstrators put their photos the front of the cards... whereas most of the UK demonstrators put their photo on the back! Including yours truly of course! Doh! But can you spot me!!!?
Let me know if you are here and spot yourself... I personally had a lovely time looking through these again... and I know that the majority of us are still demonstrators... all these years on...
NOTE - I am sure that we did 90 of these... so I think a photo has gone missing (or I didn't collect anywhere near enough in at the event! Though I'm sure I would have remembered the latter)
Actually I do like that as a concept! Reverse Crafting! What do you think?
And this is definitely a candidate for #simplestamping too...
They say that all good things come to an end... and Google have announced that the Feedburner blog post email notification service will stop sometime in July...
This would affect all of you that subscribe to an email each time I post (so you never miss a post...) for which I THANK each and every one of YOU... as this blog space would be very lonely without you...
And note that this is not just for The Craft Spa blog... but all blogs that use the Feedburner service to send email post alerts...
So without further ado... and to save you doing anything... I am in the process of moving the feed by email service over to follow.it... so you will still receive an email notification... that looks like this...
But it will look different to the Feedburner one you have seen for years... that looked like this...
And now there are other features for you if you wish to spend a few moments looking and sorting out preferences... For example... you can define filters and more delivery channels e.g. receive your news via newspaper, Telegram, newspage etc. (others to follow soon) Just click HERE to see...
Hopefully all will be a smooth transition... but I apologise in advance if ...
(a) you have a day or two that you receive 2 notifications ( ie one from each service)... please bear with me if so...
(b) you don't get any email notification... so just in case... you can easily subscribe using the "Get new posts by email" button shown here down the right hand side...
I look forward to continuing to inform and hopefully inspire you in the future... Thank you again for joining me so far...
I can also split and make up half (or full) Kits with co-ordinating A4 card stock and embellishments. Email me for more details telling me which paper Kit(s) you are interested in... about £16 half (£20 full)... plus postage as applicable (from £3) Kit examples can be found HERE.
