Saw these fabulous and clever cards made by the very talented fellow UK demonstrator Val Moody...

Had to immediately grab my reindeer clips and Home for Christmas dots...and CASE/make one of my own... a fantastic quick -to-make card... care of my Fine Tip precision glue... (and a weight on top!)

Love this idea with the clips Val... to be repeated...

Tutorial for the Making of a Door using Hearth & Home Framelits

As many of you have asked... I thought I should quickly share the making of a door...

Grab your Hearth & Home Framelits and some card... die cut 2 windows

 

Snip off the bottom (4th) section on both of them ( you should be left with 3 of the 4 sections!)

Trim off the small "overhangs" on both - blink and you will miss these on this photo!

Apply glue to one of snipped 3 section parts ( I have only used Sticky Strip so you can see where the glue is!)

Adhere other snipped 3 section part over the other

Snip out small centre panes

Cut a piece of matching card - mine is 2 1/2" x 5 3/4" (6.3 x 14.7cm)

Adhere door frame to back panel ( suggest adding any brad for door handle before this stage - not pictured)

Decorate as desired... I have just added a Peaceful Wreath

Christmas Card from another time and dimension!

Now I know quite a lot of you are Dr Who & Tardis fans from the response  to my Hearth & Home Tardis box a few weeks ago

 

So I thought I should share a simple card featuring a Tardis....

 

 This card only took me a few minutes to throw together....cough!

 Well... the brighter Pacific point Tardis was ready... the boughs and stockings were ready...

So I just had to grab a "blobs" stamp from Holly Jolly Greetings and Whisper White ink pad  - and stamp away on a Basic Black DL card. And it was done!!

Personal I prefer the Tardis in Night of Navy - what about you?

By the way - I will be writing up the tutorial for the Tardis box... along with a few other projects that have proven popular... just need a few more hours in a day ( or two) first!! I cannot start to tell you how busy the last 5 weeks have been

Just realised I have a few more furniture items that I haven't yet shared here from my Training Inspiration Station using the Hearth & Home Window dies...

 

Here is a simple little Baby Cot... dressed up with bootees from the Something for Baby stamp set...

Non Christmas Fir Trees from Happy Scenes....

Simple little Crumb Cake notecard. 

Suitable for Sympathy or Just Because you are thinking of someone - no matter what the reason...

Different window treatment so I could fit the greeting into the scene... and also using the brick fireplace surround from the Festive Fireplace stamp set...

But a Tuesday Tip for you.... grab your Basic Black marker and scribble/dash over those snow pockets on the image.... very easy to change these trees from Winter to any season....

Hope the photo proves the point...but you can't tell in the flesh...

Oh and the Daffodil Delight flowers were added just using a marker pen and the berries stamp from Wonderful Wreath.... though blobs easily done freehand if you don't have that set!

These Snow Place/Snow Friends stamps and dies are just so cute!!

Difficult to see as I forgot to add any wallpaper to my little changing room....

But there is also a Hearth & Home chest of drawers and mirror in the centre of the scene...

Just a simple Gatefold card... can't call this a Fancy Fold... but maybe a Fun Fold...? As I had so much fun dressing up my little "people" and chest of drawers... I was giggling all the way....

Adult Colouring - The Wings of a Dove (of Peace)

If you are into the current trend of Adult Colouring & Art Therapy - then you will love this stamp.... 

Why not use your colouring to good effect - and pop them on a simple  - but stunning - Christmas card! And even better - this image is not just for Christmas - it can be used all year round.... though you will need other greetings!

Therapy and money saving all at the same time...what could be better!

Now I have to admit that I don't usually enjoy colouring in...a little is OK...but a lot...not me! But I did rather enjoy this little subtle arty masterpiece... once I got into the groove... and I can see a few more appearing...

Colours used - Mint Macaron, Lost Lagoon and Sahara Sand. And I used a greeting from Peaceful Pines as it seemed apt...

And a big thanks goes out to fellow demo, teamie and friend, Sally Jo Houghton - she told me I would love this stamp - so much so she stamped some for me!! And yes, Sally-Jo - you are SO right!! Thanks again....

And yes - you are definitely costing me money again....! Actually I have to laugh... we borrowed/swapped/stamped each other's stamps at a Training event - and both of us have ended up buying the ones we borrowed!! Wonder if we will try that again....!

Case-ity Case-ity CASE!

Love this card!!

This is a CASE of Julie Kettlewell's card CASEing Amanda Fowler's card. Had to be done.. a stunner Amanda! Thank you for the inspiration....

Though I am not sure if mine is actually identical- as I did it from memory...

Another one that is one pass of the die giving you 2 separate parts...

One for the front (the bottom!)

And one for the inside (the top!)

Sleigh Ride Bendi Fold Card

 

I have been wanting to make a Bendi Fold Card since I saw fellow UK demo Zoe Tant make a prototype many many years ago!

Then the Bendi Card took off and there is even a SplitCoast Stampers Tutorial written by Bibiana Martinez-Ziegler for us to follow...which I did...

This card was therefore first on my list of makes when I saw these dies...and I know I was not alone with that thought!

Though a re-make is in order before I run the class as ...
(1) the right hand side was not quite deep enough to cut full trees straight  - so a quick add of some full Smoky Slate trees was in order  - though I do rather like that effect... proving yet again that being wrong does often make a right!!
(2) There is a cover up job of a stupid mistake inside!! Hopefully you can't see it...so I am keeping quiet....
(3) I smudged my wording!!! Aargh...

I think the Smoky Slate trees will still be added...but the other issues will be sorted!

Cut once with your Sleigh Ride houses die...

Grab your 2 parts...

Stick on 2 Night of Navy mats 

Stamp as desired...

Glitter the snowflakes as desired...

Stick onto 2 card blanks

One pass of the die...2 cards... I so like that....
