Welcome to The Craft Spa for you that have come from the beautiful projects on Carolyn’s blog - and for you starting here..... just a few words to explain!! A group of nearly 40 extremely talented Stampin' Up! UK demonstrators have got ourselves organised (via the forum In Love with Stamping) in the form of a blog hop to show you some projects using products from the new Stampin' Up! Annual & Autumn/Winter catalogues. These products are all available from today….. 1st October.
I have used quite a lot of products in the Autumn & Winter catalogue as I LOVE these Snow Festival papers – so it seemed rude not to…. see my Special Offers page to see how you can pick up a Snow Festival kit to make these projects for yourself….. or just the tutorial if you already have lots of these papers!!
So I have 3 projects to show you today…..
Firstly my Gingerbread House – complete with gingerbread men and candy canes from the new Scentsational Season stamp & Framelit bundle. As well as a Scallop Square die cut roof and base - of course!
This is based on the House Mini Book that Michelle Last demoed at Stampin’ Up! Convention 2 years ago… I made one earlier in the year but couldn’t get my ribbon to lay flat at the side – which resulted in my sides “gaping” when closed… so … a die cut scallop square came to the rescue…. to make a base that the book/house fits into nicely!! So it ends up as a box come mini book I suppose.
And here is the inside of the “book” – all ready for some photos to be added…..
And don’t you just love those felt snowmen!! Big thanks to my good friend Alison for these – I just wish I was SO clever!!! They are just SO cute!!
Secondly, my After Eight Dispenser Box.
I have seen lots of similar tea caddies around the Web – but we don’t have a tea drinker at Christmas – so with a quick tweak to the dimensions and a Scallop Square Base and lid – my dispenser box for After Eights was born. This will get a lot of use in my house at Christmas…… And quite a few friends will be getting these as gifts… so there will be more versions to show here later…..
And last but – but very definitely not least – my Chocolate Smarties Penguin Exploding Box.
This is a CASE of my own Easter Lindt Chocolate Bunny project . I have been desperately wanting to find chocolate penguins ever since – and voila – Smarties have done me proud!! I just needed to tweak the dimensions again as the penguin is taller. I love that it is “mature” on the outside of the box… and then so cute on the inside…..
The Polar Party stamp set was superb for this project – though you could use Owl Punch Art Penguins instead….
And how perfect is the new Sweater Trim ribbon for a little scarf!!!
Both of the catalogues are linked to the top left of my blog – but go here to go straight to the BIG Annual Catalogue released today!!
If you would like to make up these projects for yourself – I have the tutorials available for purchase – or if you need the products as well – I have put together a special Snow Festival kit - shown here on my Snow Festival Kit Offer page - which includes all the card, paper & ribbon etc that you need to be able to make these…. and the tutorial for free.
And now it is time to pass you onto Pat's wonderful creations . EDITED TO ADD…. there appears to be a glitch with this link – please come back and press the link again if you get passed into a webring the first time!!
