As soon as I saw the earphones (aka best buds!) in the Making A Point hostess stamp set in the Spring/Summer Occasions catalogue… I knew I had to buy the set and that this card was coming ….
I don’t know about anyone else’s teenage son… but mine never has his headphones off his head… well until he sleeps… so it just had to be…. And no guesses as to which is his favourite colour!!! Yup… red….
There is however another story behind this card… I was going to do a simpler version for our last Team Quarterly Training day swap card – for which the theme was MALE. But I had a last minute change of plan as I knew that the Make Note Rotary stamp was going to be included in the Goodie bag for everyone… and so I HAD to do the iPhone 5 card for everyone… it would have been rude not to!
And then lo & behold … my wonderful Stampin’ Up! sister Kate Martin used the Another Great Year stamp set to make this absolutely wonderful swap card….
Kate added the stars (brilliance!) whereas I was just going to add the earphones… and so I merged those 2 ideas together… coloured things in a bit… and made a straightforward version and a Centre Step version too!
And then I thought I had better make a version for the older man too!
And then I got onto cards for Teen girls….. the Making the Point stamp set has great lipstick, nail varnish and shoes images as well… and so I went mad…. well I never get to make girlie cards!! And funnily enough they are a REAL challenge for me!!! Have to admit though… I think I definitely added too many images on each card…!
