Colouring Fresh Florals papers and the A2 Double Z Joy Fold Card Tutorial

So I had a few things to catch up with.... the weekly Team Colour Challenge, the tutorial for the A2 Fully Opening Double Z Joy Fold card from US letter sized cardstock and sharing a couple of new ideas with the Floral Statements stamps and the Fresh Florals papers... so here they are all combined!!

First up the Team Colour Challenge... though you will have to squint to see the Calypso Coral.... but they are all there!
I stamped the Floral Statements "HELLO" image in Early Espresso on Crumb Cake... then I aqua-painted Craft Whisper White ink onto the flowers and leaves... left to dry... then coloured the leaves with my Pear Pizzazz marker pen... the flower edges & shadows using a Blushing Bride marker pen... and finished off the flower centres with aqua-painted Calypso Coral... and the "celebrate" (from Happy Birthday Gorgeous) is stamped in Fresh Fig...
I sponged the Fresh Florals papers for the front and inside with Crumb Cake ink... works a treat! Though it does look better in the flesh than in the photo! And I wish I had stuck the smaller inside paper and Crumb Cake greeting panels the other way round!!

I worked from A4 card... so click here for the A6 card (centimetres) tutorial from A4 cardstock...
But last but not least... here is the converted Tutorial for the fully opening A2 Double Z Joy Fold Card (in Landscape orientation) from US 8 1/2" x 11" letter cardstock...

Craft Spa Recipe
US Letter Card Crumb Cake 11" x 4 1/4"
Card Fresh Fig 10" x 2 3/4"
Card Crumb Cake Front - 4 1/4" x 2 1/2"; Inside 2 1/2" Square
Papers - Front 2 1/2" x 4" H; Back 5 1/4" x 4" H; Inside 2 1/2" Square

 Craft Spa Directions
1. Score Crumb Cake LANDSCAPE panel at 2 3/4" & 5 1/2"
2. Z Bone Fold. Valley for halfway/centre... Peak for quarter-way

3. Score Fresh Fig LANDSCAPE panel at
2 3/4" & 5 1/2"
4. Z Bone Fold. Peak halfway-ish (front) fold... Valley for Quarter-ish (back) fold

5. Adhere papers

Now to sticking the two Z Fold parts. Think about what needs to go where!!! Otherwise you will just stick your whole card together and it won't open after all!! Suggest a dry run with no glue the first time... then it should all become obvious... though I have added some photos of how I do it!

6. Adhere back section of smaller Z Fold onto back face of main card . Close the small Z Fold with the front face at the top and the Z folds behind... Eyeball the small Z Fold front face centrally on the back panel...

7. Open out the smaller Z Fold off to the right & close the front folds of the main card

8. Adhere front part of smaller Z Fold onto main card front (think about where NOT to put your glue... I use my fingers to guide me where I have put the pen in the photo...

9. Decorate as desired

    1. Thanks Anne... it is amazing how a bit of sponging changes those papers... and Floral Statements images are indeed beautiful!
