Coming back quickly to the mini series with this card design I posted earlier in the week...
As the first card was almost a complete CASE (Copy & Share Exactly) of a Painted Seasons card by AN Other... which once seen... just well... stayed in my head... And you know me... I cannot possibly take credit for someone else's work... even a part of ... or even for a few hours...
Though my wording is different (as I used the Bravery wording from the More Than Words set - as I had a need for a card that this sentiment is just perfect for)... and the use of a Night of Navy card blank (ilo Whisper White)... and I am sure that the positioning of the flowers etc will be different... as I worked from my head... rather than re-finding the original inspirational card...
But now... having gone to try to find the original card that inspired my makes (as shown below and that I saw/saved on Pinterest) ... using the reverse image search function (as described by Google here for those of you that don't now about this nifty search tool!)...
Well... and don't you just hate it when this happens... I have hit a "dead end"... as it has been saved onto Pinterest as just a photo... with no link to a blog or anywhere... and no watermark either...
So I can't track the maker down to give due credit... although I have found this one by the very talented Chris Smith... which I guess is either the original or a CASE of the one I saw... and so I will just say a big thank you to both makers.. and particularly to whoever created the first!
But anyways... back to my little trio... as I then moved on and introduced Lemon Lime Twist rock and rolled with Granny Apple Green (my new favourite green!!) into the mix... and played around with some different wordings to give my ladies more card themes to create...
Firstly a different way of using the multi occasion WISHES greeting from the More Than Words set... the WISHES is inked up with Lemon Lime Twist... then the top and bottom touched onto the Granny Apple Green pad... and then stamped... Finished off with a Night of Navy "Birthday " overstamped in the centre...
And secondly a Butterfly Gala greeting... inked up with Granny Apple Green and Night of Navy markers... with a 3D'd raised flower to add some dimensionQuick, simple and very effective cards...
And remember... the Painted Seasons stamp set can be yours for free with an order during the Sale A Bration promotion (that ends 31st March or while supplies last for any item)... and the More Than Words stamp set is only available during March too...
