Very Vintage #simplestamping card

A quick share for you today ... of a very simple card... so #simplestamping as per the SU! challenge...  

But a card that is a real eye catcher on display...

Just a bit of stamping... a die cut aperture ... and a punch... 

Standard A6 card in Thick Whisper White... Granite Gray cardstock panel (10 x 14.3cm H) with a Stitched Rectangle die cut from the centre...

Overstamped randomly with Gray Granite Very Vintage (host stamp set) flower spray

Basic Black greeting (from Dandelion Wishes) stamped through aperture

And a punched butterfly from the Sale A Bration Botanical Butterfly papers added to finish...

And a tip for you.... I shape all my butterflies after punching... just using my trusty bone folder and fingers!! 

I tend to hold the butterfly body section/area in my fingers and then stretch the paper slightly from that centre axis using the bone folder so that it takes on a gradual curved shape out from the body... I then adjust my hold... and repeat from the other side...

And using a Stampin Pierce Mat... I then lay the punched part down ... face down... and apply light pressure along the body area/line to flatten it out...so that I then have a flat area to apply my glue...

Botanical Butterfly Gala...

Another quick and simple card made using the lovely Botanical Butterfly papers (available exclusively for free with a £45 order during Sale A Bration) and Butterfly Gala

Card based on this alternative version shared here...

But this one made my "purple lovers" very very happy!

Butterflies all punched out of the papers... so this really was a quick card... and each of the butterfly sheets can produce lots of butterflies/cards!! I did count... but I have lost the paper I wrote it on!! And I don't have any full sheets left...

And a quick TIP for you... I cut really roughly around each butterfly on the papers... then popped each butterfly onto the corner of a Sticky Note (aka Post It Note)... so I could pop the butterfly it into the Butterfly punch whilst holding onto the Sticky Note... and punch! 

That way I maximise the amount of butterflies I get from each sheet! And minimum scissor time required!

Sharing a few cards featuring a couple of products coming our way soon... as well as Butterfly Gala (for which the punch is sadly unavailable and unorderable until sometime in March... though you can click here and register for an email to alert you when it is back in stock)

First up the lovely Country Floral embossing folder which will be available to you for free  - with a £45 product order - during the second half of the Sale A Bration promotion... starting this Friday, 15th February...

Second up... the new Story Label Punch coming to you - for a limited time - from 1-31st March only... 

Such a great size and shape to have in your "punching" arsenal...  it has become my go to punch already!

Particularly as just one coloured label gives you the mat... and I even punched that from the square mat behind the embossed layer... well... waste not want not!

Just cut your coloured punched shape in half horizontally... stick one half above the white/greeting shape... and the other below... And apologies as the photos I thought I had taken seemed to have vanished somewhere... or maybe it is my mind/memory playing tricks with me... don't you just hate it when that happens!

Most of  you will have also noticed the 3 colour combinations/orders of card blanks & mats on these cards... all using Coastal Cabana, Highland Heather & Whisper White (with stamping in Basic Black) I like you to be able to compare and contrast... 

And the more observant of you will maybe have noticed that I have used 3 of the 4 different butterfly designs in the Butterfly Gala set... as I realised that I had been neglecting these 3 designs in all my other Butterfly Gala cards... so it was high time I rectified that situation!!

Let's keep our fingers crossed that these lovely butterflies will be flitting in ahead of the current planned date!!

Botanical Butterflies CAS card...

Whilst the Butterfly Gala bundle with punches are still in stock and available for you to purchase in UK & Europe... I thought I would share some more of the butterfly makes made over the past week or so...

Though many of you will be pleased to hear... that I have finally finished my accounts, my tax return and the myriads of things that have kept me away from my crafty corner for the past few weeks... so it should be full steam ahead now!!! 

A simple card from monthly training first... featuring the Sale A Bration free papers, Botanical Butterflies and the greeting from Butterfly Gala... large butterflies fussy cut from the Butterfly papers... small ones punched... with bodies and antenna quickly stamped...
