Tuesday Tip & Tipple... Brewed For You #1

No matter the beer... we have a glass for you! Introducing the new Brewed For You stamp set & bundle...

And the back story... what is a girl to do when faced with a birthday of someone special... but no card made... and only minutes to spare...

Why re-use an old favourite card of course... using the long retired Another Great Year stamp... dressed up for a new occasion... Cheers!

And I also have to admit to initially forgetting to add the froth to my beer... so that was added later on this occasion... hence the difference in photos... so I thought I'd share both versions...

And I like the finished result so much.... as well as having discovered the Simple aka Faux Centre Step Card version of the card fold this year... that you will see a re-make soon... but using some lovely new papers...

And the Tip for today...
Spot the sheen on the glasses... simply care off a swoosh of a Versamark pad all over the top of the stamped glass image.... followed by a sprinkling of clear embossing powder... and then heated to melt... Oh... and tweezers came in handy!

And then it makes perfect sense to add the froth separately!

Mixed Drinks In the Bar... Cheers! Bench Fold Card #4

A simpler dressing of the Tool Bench card that I shared here

Click HERE to go and order the tutorial (s)... !
Back to today's card.... suitable for the man in your life that is "drinki-dextrous" and likes a pint (or two) of beer and is rather partial to Champagne (or Prosecco) too... or for a couple of friends that you just like a drink with!

This was a quick make with a re-made Tool Bench card for the Tutorial photos.... I am sure you will see an alternative (prettier and more dressed) version at some point....

Things to spot....

(1) Reversed pint of beer to the left...

I just grabbed a larger-than-the-glass photopolymer stamp... and placed it upside down in front of me (so looking at the flat back of the stamp)...

I inked up the glass stamp using Memento Black (Archival Black didn't work interestingly! and don't use Staz On...) and stamped on the reverse of the larger upside-down stamp and then quickly stamped the "flat back stamp" onto my white card...Eureka!

I did however then have to re-stamp my right hand beer glass in Basic Grey... as there was too much difference compared to the originally stamped Memento Black version....
(2) The previous workbench top has become a table.... just sticking my panels in a different order... front sides then top in this case...

(3) Bubbles coming out of the Champagne flutes... again care of the Playful Backgrounds stamp set that I didn't know what to do with originally... I have to thank the very talented Shannon Lane in Canada for this clever idea... pop over to see her gorgeous card using this concept and the Mixed Drinks set...

(4) Champagne is stamped with Gold Wink of Stella (sadly not available in Europe anymore!).... I brushed the Gold WOS onto the stamp and stamped....

(5) The Gold WOS was also used over the beer to make it all shimmer... and then the Clear Wink of Stella over the glass areas of the 4 glasses...

So Cheers! And remember that the step by step Tutorial(s) are now available here for these Bench Fold Cards... with the full lowdown on how to make the Kitchen Range (AGA), BBQ and Tool Bench designs...

Cheers To You! Mixed Drinks Part 2

May your wine be plentiful!

Simple DL card (approx 4 1/8" x 8 1/8" for my US readers!) with a few Cherry Cobbler & Gold Wink of Stella (now out of stock & retired) stamped and filled Mixed Drinks wine glasses to cheer you up!

Glasses all nice and shiny care of Clear Wink of Stella...
To YOU! wording care of Labeler Alphabet

And yes all glasses hand cut and 3D'd for a pop... Though all the glasses appearing "behind" could have been stamped direct... I just find it easier when faced with a blank card to move my pre-cut 3D images around to work out where I need to stick them!! And I do so like fussy cutting in an evening...
Need I say more... Cheers!

Cheers To You - Mixed Drinks Part 1

And breathe Amanda.... what a lot of excitement for the last 3 days of posts! Somewhat overwhelming... such fabulous comments & feedback (with lots of blushing on my part)... but so happy to please... and delighted to inspire so many all at one go (well 3 goes)

And a big hello to my many new followers! May you find lots of other creations and tutorials to inspire you on here...
So I am sharing a few simple Mixed Drinks & Layered Letters (aargh - retired & out of stock!) things over the next few days so I can concentrate on writing up a certain tutorial for you all!!! By the end of the week... with just 4 other events to run as well! Breathe deep & hard Amanda...

And as I have been asked... about a 100 times already! The pdf Tutorial(s) will be £3(GBP) for one of the cards but just £5 for all 3 of the cards... payment will be via Paypal and I hope to sort out a quick and easy process for you and me... Oh - and my blog subscribers will be the amongst the first to know when it is released!!

And remember for those of you in the UK only... place a £20+ Stampin' Up! order on-line through me and you will receive the Tutorials (all 3) for free... Just make sure you can see my name (Amanda Bates) at the top right of the screen... and enter the current Host Code VQTSBUDV where prompted... But probably more importantly if you order online this week... you will be on the priority list for them to be sent to...

Trio Kits in the Mail (including Tutorial) will also be provided to those that have emailed me a request so far... There is still time (until 11pm tomorrow, 16th May) to request one... I will be back to you separately by email about the kits... probably on Thursday...

Edited to Add: I have checked and unfortunately I will not be able to provide the Class Kits in the Mail outside of the 5 European territories...
Back to today's Cheers To You card... a simple 14.8cm Square (about 5 7/8") card - with lager, stout, bitter and brown ale in pint tankards to please the men... though the no-punch no-dies didn't please the girls in class... even though I kept telling them they could stamp it direct on the card panel!

So yes all 6 glasses stamped, punched and hand-cut... Highlights of Clear Wink Of Stella for the glasses... and Gold Wink of Stella for the lager-beers. Tip - don't move your clear ink of Stella onto the coloured beers or you will have bits of colour where you don't want it!
Here is the full range of images in Mixed Drinks... I am loving this one!! And it is not retiring... it carries over! Though I have only scratched the surface so far as it is Mens' Cards in May month... but wait till June....
Till tomorrow...

Cheers ... and a bottle of Gin!

At our last Quarterly Training we were given a Make & Share the Tag Business Challenge!

We had been asked to bring our favourite New Annual Catalogue stamp set... so I had my brand New Mixed Drinks on hand...
Mixed Drinks Photopolymer Stamp Set
So though I didn't think they were quite appropriate for the challenge... ie to make and then give out to people to showcase/introduce what we do... I made these 10 tags anyways...  and thought I would share them in any case!
I couldn't even find a bottle of champagne or prosecco for photographic display purposes either... but hey a lovely bottle of Martin Miller's English Icelandic gin does the job for me!!! Definitely a great gin to try!! And reduced in Morrisons yesterday!!! Just sayin!

And now I need to make some more appropriate tags!

Want to see some more makes using the Mixed Drinks set... here you go... these 2 lovely creations being from the Stampin' Up ! web site....

Though these do remind me of my recent holiday!!! We were very lucky to have the Parasol cocktail bar about 10 minutes walk away that was reportedly one of the Top 10 in Europe!!

Though subsequently I believe this to be (more accurately) one of the 10 Coolest Bars in Lesbos! Either way... they made a great cocktail, quirky and fun place to be -  and the sunset view was fabulous...
