Year in Review - aka Tutorials Round Up!

Just out of interest I had a scan through my 2017 blog posts and worked out the Most Popular Posts by number of visits during 2017... and not unsurprisingly posts with Tutorials leapt to the top!

So here are the Top 10 Popular Posts/Projects for 2017... just click on the picture to go straight to the relevant blog post... most with the Tutorials... so I hope some of you may find this useful...

Number 1 - Bench Fold Card Tutorial - with a staggering 9000 visits! Actually putting this in my Top 5 Blog Posts of all time (though not showing up in the Top 10 list down the left hand side for some reason!?) ... And the individual Tool Bench and Aga (Kitchen Range) cards each hit the year's Top 10... though  - for the purposes of this review - I am not letting them count twice...

So glad I have done this review... which actually goes as far as the Top 30... as now I have been reminded of a few tutorials to write up... as well as some other variants that I had in my head at the time... but that I never quite got round to .... that should keep me busy for a couple of months!!

Invitation in the post...and colouring opportunity

So today I received my invitation to the Stampin' Up! CentreStage event at On Stage in Solihull, England in November...

But I just couldn't resist pulling out my Stampin Blends for a minute's adult colouring!!! Loving my Stampin Blends markers...

Ah that's better... though I have to admit that the Colour Lifter did come in extra handy after I took this close-up shot!!! Amazing what that little pen can do to remove your "over-the-lines colouring" and smudges!

So what is CentreStage... This is an exclusive invite only event hosted by Stampin Up! to celebrate demonstrators that have worked hard and have achieved Silver Elite+ status in terms of their sales and team numbers/sales... and I am honoured to be amongst them!

Happy New - Balloon Adventures- Year!

Just popping on to wish you all a VERY Happy New Year...and I hope that 2017 will be your best year yet!

I started out the day with big plans for my 2017 New Year card... but then I spent hours looking for everything I needed to make this somewhat-more-simple card... it is amazing where things can get to when you do the annual Christmas-clear-it-all-away thing!

So I now cannot wait till I can get everything back in its usual allocated space next week!!

Back to the card... which is VERY sparkly in the flesh...

My first use of the Spring Summer catalogue new Balloon Pop Up Thinlits dies and the co-ordinating Balloon Adventures stamp set... for which there are more details and a video here...

Though I have used the pop up part flat... and I could not resist cutting all the balloon parts out from the pop up die cut shape (as shown below) so that my number balloons could take centrestage... 

Silver Glimmer die cut Large Numbers and bow, Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer background , white embossed large greeting... all popped onto a Whisper White mat and then onto a Basic Black DL card blank ( ie 21cm/8 1/4" Square scored in half at 10.5cm/4 1/8")
