Shining Brightly Bridge Fold Card with Tutorial

Another simple but stunning paper-and-card optimising fun fold card... as this sizing is all the better as you can make 3 cards from one piece of A4...!

But before I start... check out the newly released ONLINE EXCLUSIVES HERE... in particular the stunning Meandering Meadows suite... and the fabulous Feathered Flight stamp set (if you like ducks!)

S ... back to the card... the dimensions of this card were originally sized to make best use of 6x6" wide paper... hence why quite a few other cards shared will be pointing to this tutorial!  Such as this scenic one I made last year...

Though... the paper-optimising element wasn't key for this actual card... but the width of the gap/back was just perfect for the Christmas Classics die cut label...

The alternative navy blue version was shared here last week...

Recipe

A4 Cherry Cobbler 7¼“ x 10.5cm *
Paper (Front Centre) 2½ "x 10cm
Paper (Front Sides) 1” x 10cm (x2) **
A4 Thin Vanilla (Back) 2½"x  10cm (for Greeting panel)

* To get 3 card blanks from 1 piece of A4...
Place A4 Card LANDSCAPE... cut at 7¼” wide. Then turn 90degrees so PORTRAIT and cut in half at 10.5cm.
Then pick up leftover piece. Place PORTRAIT & cut down to 10.5cm. Then turn 90degrees so LANDSCAPE and cut down to 7¼”

** If you want paper on the Inside Side panels... they want be 3/4" wide for each side (so
3/4" x 10cm (x2)...   AKA if cutting all from one piece of 6x6" paper... cut the paper panels 10 cm High x 1", 3/4", 2 1/2", 3/4" and 1"

(D) Gold Foil 4” Square

Cherry Cobbler 9.5cm x 2.4cm

(St) Very Vanilla 9.9cm x 1¼”

Bundle – Christmas Classics

Paper – Shining Brightly

Ink - Cherry Cobbler

Instructions

1.     Cherry Cobbler panel LANDSCAPE

2.     Score at 1¼”, 2¼“, 5” and 6”

3.     Bone Fold Mt, V ,V , Mt (where Mt=Mountain & V=Valley)

4.     Adhere papers

5.     Ink up, stamp & die cut as necessary

6.     Adhere greeting panel to Cherry Cobbler panel & trim the 4 corners by hand

7.     Adhere all parts – ensuring that the card folds flat to go in an envelope… Tip- Fold the sides over to the RHS, adhere LHS of die cut frame to left [think about where glue can go!], then open and fold sides over to left and then stick RHS of die cut panel to right…

Christmas Classics Shining Brightly

Another month... and another apology for not sharing projects... until today!

But just a quick share today... a Bridge Fold card using the stunning Shining Brightly papers and the Christmas Classic bundle...  CLICK HERE for the Tutorial ... as this is just such a great fun fold card for bulk christmas card making... particularly as it maximises your card & paper usage...

I have to come clean ... and admit that although I'm still designing and creating projects... and taking the photos to use on a blog post... I then find it very difficult and time consuming to see and find the photos when I need them... and so I have been defeated...

You may remember that I had a new PC set up at the beginning of the year... and thought that would make things easier and quicker... well that changed a few unexpected things... and I have struggled since... though today I have just remembered  a short term work round...

I've also had a few extra things on for the last few months... most great! a holiday in Tuscany, Italy in September... and another in the Lake District during October... and then the ultimate holiday present after our time in the Lakes.... Yup...covid! Though I was generally ok with that... and its now gone! Phew...

And before I leave... don't forget that today is the last day to get a starter kit with an extra 35% product- or 35% off - plus a free Stampin'Up! event... Just click HERE for more details...
