Six panel Pop & Twist Card & Congratulations Sue

Well... the Pop Up & Twist Panel card (aka Pop Up Panel Card, Pop Up Twist Card or Twisted Pop Up Card) is an incredibly popular card format at the moment... and I have made a few already... which have been proving very popular with people coming and visiting my blog... see here, herehere, here and here ...

But I was determined to make one with more panel sections than the 4 panels offered in all the cards doing the rounds...
And so I have!! So I bring you a World Exclusive (I think!)... the 6 Panel Pop & Twist Card...

And talk about a wonderful excuse to do so... my lovely Sue has gained her Stampin' Up! Silver promotion... for which I am a very proud SU! Mummy!!

So I was delighted to make the prototype for her to accompany the celebratory gift I sent her.... and I can't wait to see what she makes with her gift! So... again... well done Sue! And if you live in the UK and would like to join my merry bunch of Craft Therapists... and earn gifts and cards from me... just go here!
Beautiful silver embossed greeting care of Birthday Blast (again), flowers and butterflies from Grateful Bunch (had to be butterflies for Sue!) with flowers punched out by Blossom Bunch Punch. Die cut Large Letters in Silver Glimmer  and papers from the Neutrals ( Silver) and Subtles (Pool Party) Designer Series Paper Stacks. Finished off with 3/8" Stitched Pool Party Ribbon

And here is the simple (but I think classy!) understated front... as I really wanted the opening of the card to cause the WOW!!!
And no... no tutorial today... as a second version has already been made which improves on the making of this first prototype... and I have just one more thing to try before I finalise the design... as I do like to fine tune to make the making of a card as easy as possible!

Easter Chick Fancy Favour Box with How To Pictorial

The Craft Spa, Amanda Bates, Easter Chick, SU Fancy Favour Box, (5)

OK I have a new Stampin. Up! die love…. the Fancy Favour box…. so I already have quite a few finished projects… and a very very long list of projects I would like to do!! When I find a spare minute!

So my first  share is one for Easter… he makes rather a cute chick don’t you think……?

I was totally inspired by the Angry Bird boxes that I first saw on Julie’s blog here…. but whilst in my hand… the Blossom punch was just itching to make feathers and feet… and so my little chick was born!!! He is really easy to make so a great project when you are rushed for time!

Come back tomorrow for another one made especially for Easter……

And here is a Pictorial on the punches to use etc….

Scallop Square #20 – Lollipop Holder

2012_07 213_resizeNow this one is a really simple one-minute project!!!

Difficult to get a decent photo of though. Especially as I could only find mini chupa-chups when I made it – it would have been even better with a bigger lollipop!!

But there were lots of oohs and aahs at this one at my Team Training Inspiration Table last month – so thought I should share…..

So here are the quick steps needed.

1. Die cut a Scallop Square out of double sided-paper

2. Score 3 scallops in on each side

3. Score 4 corners diagonally across the outer square

4. Bone Fold all score lines ( straights as mountains and diagonals as valleys)

5. Hand punch peaks at centre

6. Put lollipop in centre

7. Thread & tie ribbon through the punched holes to close

8. Stamp flower etc.

9. Poke hole through centres

10. Poke lolly stick through those holes to attach……

And I have just realised that this is an old photo – as my final sample has a couple of Lucky Limeade leaves added to the flower using the Blossoms Petal Builder Punch. Too late/dark for a photo now – so I will have to add that version another day!!

Scallop Square #12 - Matchbook Mini Album

Here is a quick and simple little mini album using the Attic Boutique set of papers.

This is based upon a mini book shared by Stampin' Up! in the monthly magazine (aka Stampin' Impressions) they post out to all demonstrators.  I just tweaked the sizes to suit the Scallop Square shape!

This was one of a set of 4 mini books we did in a class a few weeks ago. All using the Attic Boutique papers - and yes you guessed it - all featuring the Scallop Square die cut in one way or another.....

The outer cover is a piece of 4" by A4 Wide card ( ie 8 1/4" or 21cm)  scored at 1" and 5".

The 2 inner pages are 4" by 2 1/8" and 3 1/8" both scored at 1/4"

And the rest is all decoration.  Simples!!!

Scallop Square #10 - Double Punched Blossom Card

I just love this card!!! There is a steady collection growing in my card box!!  This card was designed by Robin Armbrecht and a tutorial written by  Julie Davison which you can find here... Double Punched Blossom Card Tutorial

Not sure if you can really see but I added a Scallop Square to the the back of the card.  I think it just finishes it off perfectly..... but it was very difficult to photo!!! ( not that I am obsessed with the Scallop Square or anything!!)

But this is only the 10th Scallop Square project posted - out of about 45 made - and over 101 on the list to do!! So lots more to go yet ....
