Butterfly Bijou #1 for Simple Saturday Share...

As promised a few project shares coming along featuring the now sold out and discontinued Butterfly Bijou papers...

This is one I made during our Jems Zoom team training session on Wednesday night... inspired by the cards that Julie shared with us on the night... 

However I am not yet in possession of the Butterfly Brilliance stamps and dies (though they are on their way to me!) - so I had to do things differently... 

So the background is made from one of the paper pieces.... stamped with first and second So Saffron stampings of some leaves and flowers from the Pretty Perennials stamps that I had out for the greetings...with a So Saffron daubing around all the edges to finish... 

The butterflies are fussy cut out of the papers... though you may be lucky enough to have the dies and the papers to die cut them in the one cut... 

And spot the Matte Black Dots for the butterfly heads... perfect finish!

Wednesday Woe - Butterfly Bijou papers sold out

So sorry to have to tell you... but... the Butterfly Bijou papers have now sold out in UK & Europe and are discontinued... though I do know that some of you will be SO glad now that you got that order in...

Edited to Add - please have a laugh at my expense! Wednesday Woe... on a Thursday!! Talk about not knowing the day of the week anymore!!

Which also means that...

I am now unable to provide the previously published Butterfly Bouquet Paper Kit offers as shown below (with or without the Butterfly Brilliance bundle) Though of course you will still get a lovely gift from me if you order the bundle... as I do have a lovely pack of Botanical Butterfly papers that can be split....

Wednesday WOW - Paper Blooms Double Fan Fold Card

OMG... I have been wanting to make one of these Double Fan Fold cards for ages... ever since I first saw one on Sam's Mixed Up Craft blog back in August 2020... and many a-one seen since... and I am definitely not disappointed... Thank you Sam...

So this is my first Double Fan Fold card... and I followed Sam's tutorial to the letter... as it creates a nice big card... And I can have to admit... that I absolutely LOVE this card... 

Flowers all fussy cut from the Paper Blooms papers.... shiny Rococo Rose foil from the Love You always Foil Sheet pack...

And a couple of simple tips for you... 

(1) Don't be too scared to cut your stamps... makes for much more versatility... as I can use Happy Birthday on its own now... on top of each other (as here)  or side by side to form the long sentiment when I want that... And I can still use ... as designed for... when I need that sentiment too...

(2) Gut your foil... I cut in at 1cm (approx 3/8") from each side... 

So now I have a panel I can use for something else another day...

It gets covered by the paper panel in any case...
