Wednesday Wideo and Bundle Focus - Nothings Better Than... with 8 inspirational projects...

Oh my gosh ... where did the last 2 weeks go? Proceedings were knowingly paused as it was the Stampin' Up ! on Stage at Home event... more on that another day... but then time just went and ran away ever since!!

So a quick bundle ( but fabulous!) focus share for you today... and then I will be back again soon!!

So introducing Nothings Better Than... the bundle that has it all for many an occasion... and a bundle that was pretty near the top of my Wish List when the new catalogue was released... and one that will be bought for when classes resume... as most of my ladies love all these Cs... albeit in different orders!

Featuring the Nothings Better Than stamps...

And the Love You More Than dies

Welcome Easter Bites

So I had some of these Aldi chocolate bunnies... chicks... and lambs... left after filling some of these...

So a VERY simple little plan came to mind... so a few of these were made and posted out to family friends... and the best bit! They won't be expecting a thing!!

Wish I had had more chocolates... as if so... there would have been a LOT more of these made! But an hour round trip to the nearest Aldi wasn't something I could've asked a neighbour to do!

Happy Easter to you and yours... and may the Easter Bunny be kind!

Welcome Easter Treats Trio & Tutorial

And so rounding off the trio of goody containing Welcome Easter treat holders ...

With Larry the Lamb... stamped in Memento Black on Whisper White... coloured in with Light Gray Granite and Dark Balmy Blue Stampin Blends... and fussy cut...

Scroll back 2 days for specific details on Bertie Bunny and Charlie Chick...

All just 2 tags stuck either side of a Mini Curvy Keepsakes box... as you can see on the shot below... Scripty embossed Balmy Blue Tags 5cm(2") wide x 9.9cm(4") high... with a Granny Apple Green hill hand cut from a 5cm (2") square piece of Subtle embossed card

Though note that I die cut a Balmy Blue Mini Curvy Keepsake box here...

But all the makes in classes have been Granny Apple Green Mini Curvy Keepsakes boxes... as that represented a hill better....

Also note that I used Bakers Twine to hold the box closed... but all my ladies chose to use the "random" peg I happened to have... much much quicker that way!

And finally finished off with a "single twist/knot" of ribbon... as tying a proper knot would prevent you getting in without destruction! So only about 3" worth per treat holder...

Stampin Up products used...
Stamps -Welcome Easter, A Wish for Everything
Embossing folders - Scripty; Subtle
Dies - Mini Curvy Keepsakes. Word Wishes
Punches - Delightful Tag Topper
Card - Granny Apple Green, Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White
Ribbon 1/4" Metallic Seaside Spray

Charlie Chick Easter Treat Holder...

Second one in the Welcome Easter series...  Charlie Chick for you today... leaping for joy!

Back soon with more details.... but Charlie is stamped in Crushed Curry on Daffodil Delight cardstock... and coloured in using the Dark Mango Melody Stampin Blend... and then fussy cut...

Welcome Easter Mini Curvy Keepsake Treat Holder

Just a quick Welcome Easter share today as I have been away for the weekend....  Yes yet again! How lucky am I...  And this weekend was a wonderful gastronomic treat with an overnight stay at The Yorke Arms in Ramsgill... I could definitely seriously get into these destination restaurants!

So here is Bertie the Easter Bunny... and I will be back very soon with more...

In the meantime I will be working on the Bench Fold card tutorials this week... Sadly everything else I had on this week has been cancelled...  so maybe I will get them done sooner than planned... every cloud...

Simplest Smarties Treat Holder ever!!

And now for something completely different...

So I picked these little Smarties eMoji beauties up from somewhere on a half price offer... maybe Sainsburys?... and thought that I could decorate these really simply for one of our Christmas tables this year! As time will be of the essence more than ever this year!

Just simple hand cut holly sprigs to decorate all those "Smarties hats"... care of Christmas Gleaming...

Too cute!

But now I SO wish I had bought more of these... for our Boxing Day meet up with another (somewhat larger) family! Though actually I have just thought up a cunning plan for those!!

Otherwise my Christmas Treat Holder creative plans have gone rubbish this week... as I ...
(A) couldn't pick up ribbons & embellishments (from my low shelf) to finish them off...
(B) just needed a stamp or ink pad or something that is already in a box ready for classes next week... and yup! Boxes on the floor!!
(C) have now partially moved many things around... so I now don't know where anything is!!
(D) keep dropping things onto the floor... and then have had to wait till DH gets in to pick them up for me!

Though today I finally remembered my grabbers (which I had put on the back of a door for safe keeping...which of course means that I had forgotten them!!) Doh!

But I may have to admit defeat from the weekend.... and resort to Plan C for blog posts for a little while... as I have lots of other great projects made by fellow friends and demos around the UK... and it does seem a shame not to share those with you too... as they are such a talented crowd!

Broadway Bound Good Luck... and Ombre Tuesday Tip!

Imagine the scene... the sudden realisation that you have less than an hour to make, address, photo..., get to the Post Office and send a card and a treat box to wish your son well in his exams... or you are going to miss the post and they will arrive the day after his first exam! As it is a Bank Holiday weekend...

So these happened! Talk about speed crafting... Broadway Bound papers...

Amazing Life stamps (the ones in the bundle with the Rectangles Stitched dies! Still available with 10% off till 3rd June)...

And of course our very favourite Stitched Shapes dies...

But he will be happy... as the box contains not one but two bars of chocolate!

And oh yes... you guessed it... I covered one of those Lemon Lime Twist boxes I had already made...well speed was of the essence!!

But for you... link to the tutorial here!

Wouldn't care... but I seem to remember I was in the same last minute state last year! Though I blame the Bank Holidays of course!

And oh... nearly forgot.... My Ombre tip for today...

See the word LUCK... coloured in with a Marker Pen... then coloured over the bottom again... with the same marker pen!!

Simples!! Just wish I had take a close up shot for you...

Little story behind these... when I was going through "the cancer thing" last year... I was sent a card with the  expression GIN & Bear It!... which made me REALLY laugh... and made me think immediately of these little bears... and then I saw the chocolates in Aldi!! So these just had to be done...

PS Don't start to panic... Cancer treated with radiotherapy last year... got the All Clear in February... so back to normal as far as I am concerned...
