Joyful Christmas Pud...

Had to share this card... too cool for words...

Not made by me at all... but a collaborative effort between Heidi and Louise at one of my classes last week... they were busy making these notecards with the Real Red JOY and hanging stocking
When there was... you know one of those wonderfully creative light bulb moments... followed by a quick consult with yours truly... and a quick scurry for card and dies... and here you have it... so bring us some Figgy Pudding!

And what did they use.... JOY from Joyful Nativity, currants & greeting from Holly Jolly Greetings, Holly & Berry from Hang Your Stocking, Circle dies for the pudding and topped off with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper.

Great job the pair of you.... and Louise can no longer say that "she can't be creative and is just going to copy mine".... as I hear she is already plotting something else with her Joyful Nativity stamp set!! Watch this space....

So what do you all think?? Please feel free to add a comment so I can give the happy duo our SU! world feedback!!!

And ... as time has moved on... here are some updated pictorials of this weeks' Online Extravaganza Sale items... some items gone fast as usual...

Ferrero Rocher Christmas Pud

A remake of an oldie - but a goodie!
Perfectly sized to hold a single Ferrero Rocher...
Perfectly sized to add a subtle christmas treat to your christmas table
The box is just a simple 1 1/4" cube...

Cut a 3 3/4" square of card - score at 1 1/4" then 2 1/2". Then turn 90 degrees and repeat. Dart up 2 scorelines on 2 opposing sides and adhere together!
More details on the punch art pud here...
But this time I used the Sheltering Tree large leaves stamp to stamp the currants etc

Oh! Bring us some Figgy Pudding

Many Merry Stars, Amanda Bates, The Craft Spa 020

Oh I so have that song in my head!!!

So here is my little Curvy Keepsakes christmas pudding. Almost good enough to eat….

And some tips to make for yourself….

Gorgeous Grunge “splats” make the raisins etc

The icing is made from the 2 3/8” scallop circle punch. 4 of them… The 2 on the handle sides were stuck on and then trimmed to shape. The other 2 were die cut over the pointy & slit side of the Curvy keepsakes die and then stuck on. ( Though I have just realised that I could maybe have die cut the scallops with the handle sides too – would have been even better….)

The greeting on the little tag is one of my favourite greetings this year – from the Project Life Holiday Cheer set… oh did I tell you …. that is carrying over!! (along with the PL Seasonal Snapshot range)

Wondering where the holly is from – that is from my favourite stamp set in the Autumn Winter Supplement – 12 Days of Christmas…
