Festive Celebrations for Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to our monthly blog hop from Amanda Bates at The Craft Spa in the UK... featuring Festive Celebrations...

Now I do like to celebrate the Festive period with a special advent calendar and a 12 Days of Christmas project each year... and although I have creations from through the years that get re-used... this year was time for a new 12 Days of Christmas project... or as it is known in my house... my 12 Gins of Christmas treat! And boy is it a treat each year!
I also like to make these for friends and family as a special treat to open and savour through the next 12 days of the festive period... so it also becomes the 12 Drinks of Christmas treat for the menfolk... featuring Port and/or Whiskies mainly! Or just 12 Treats of Christmas for the younger ones... featuring mainly chocolate! They always go down very well!
So take 12 test tubes... fill with whatever the recipient will most fancy... and pop in beautifully but simply decorated packaging... care of the Treat Tubes, Acetate C6 Card Boxes, Christmas Around the World paper, Stitched Felt embellishments and Jute Twine with numbers 1-12 care of my PC and a 1/2" circle punch...

Love how those back tubes appear to be floating in mid air....
And now it is time to say goodbye from me and thank you for visiting me today... and pass you onto the lovely Kristie in the USA ... just click on the arrow below to go straight there...
And here is the Blog Roll List if you prefer to hop that way - or in the event of any broken links...:

Candy Cane Lane Treat Holders

Needing something even simpler and quicker for your Ferrero Rocher or Lindor ball treats for your christmas table...
Cut a few Gingerbread Houses out from your Candy Cane Lane papers... make simple box holders and stick together! The box holding the treat is just a 2 3/4" square piece of Early Espresso card scored at 3/4" on all 4 sides...
Pop them in a dome for instant decoration...
And here is the village... too cute!

Snow Globes

Carrying on with small Treat Holders for the christmas table... here is another one for your Ferrero Rocher or Lindor Balls...

But before I start... I have news for you... Stampin' Up! are releasing Year End Closeout Deals very soon... coming 1st December... lots more discounted items so more on that tomorrow... but if you happen to be online after 11pm tonight... check out my Online Store to see the details.... many items only while supplies last!

These very simple little Snow Globes will go down well amongst my skiing mad family & friends. And actually... I may use these for the New Year table
Used Mountain Adventure for decoration and greeting, Stitched Shapes Framelits for the circle, Jar of Love for the lid and Christmas Pines for the snowflakes. Finished off with Dazzling Diamonds glitter on the trees and snowflakes

And the box behind is just a 3 3/4" Square piece of Whisper White card, Scored at 1 1/4" on all 4 sides. Perfect for hiding the treat in...

Christmas "Chocolate Ball" Treat Holder Jar

Quick share of one of the christmas treat holders that will be adorning some tables around here...

These were inspired by this swap at the On Stage Telford event... but unfortunately there is no name on it to credit the maker! So please let me know if it was you.... and thank you so much for your clever and gorgeous swap (and the chocolate eclair... my favourite!)
Couple of Jar of Love jars stamped & white embossed and then die cut. Greetings care of the Candy Cane stamp set - perfect for the job...

Stuck front and back to a little box holding the Ferrero Rocher or Lindor ball... finished off with a holly & berry spray (from Hang Your Stocking stamps and Christmas Stockings dies - both really well reduced this month!) and a bit of candy cane ribbon
The box holding the treat is just a 2 3/4" square piece of card scored at 3/4" on all 4 sides...

Quick & simples...
And front and reverse...
But I have to admit... mine is going to have a Lindor Ball in!! So I think it will be red for Lindors... and green for Ferrero Rocher on my table...

Ferrero Rocher Christmas Pud

A remake of an oldie - but a goodie!
Perfectly sized to hold a single Ferrero Rocher...
Perfectly sized to add a subtle christmas treat to your christmas table
The box is just a simple 1 1/4" cube...

Cut a 3 3/4" square of card - score at 1 1/4" then 2 1/2". Then turn 90 degrees and repeat. Dart up 2 scorelines on 2 opposing sides and adhere together!
More details on the punch art pud here...
But this time I used the Sheltering Tree large leaves stamp to stamp the currants etc

Rudolph Christmas Treats Fry Box

Santa was feeling lonely!!
So I made him a friend...
Rudolph with his nose so bright...
And here is the Punch Art crib sheet... oops just realised I took all of these photos before I put his Festive Flower Builder ears on! Back soon...
Though I have to admit that the Rudolph face looks a lot scarier when you just stick the bits on top of each other! Definitely better with eyes to the front and mane/antlers at the back!

Curvy Keepsakes Penguin– or should I call him Monty… or Pingu… or Erik…

Many Merry Stars, Amanda Bates, The Craft Spa 017

I have to admit…this is my favourite of my Curvy Keepsakes treat holders… he is SO cute… and I now have penguins over running my house….

Now I reckon this little penguin has become rather famous around SU! demo blogland. I can’t claim any credit for him as I have CASED him exactly.

I did have a penguin on my Curvy Keepsakes To Do List…but I reckoned he was so perfect !! So I didn’t attempt to alter anything…. Thank you for sharing your fabulous creation with the world Lynn Starzl

But I have to laugh as I have realised that my owl punch has only ever been used for penguins…. maybe I need to plot an owl punch class for next year….

Now if you have enjoyed my mini Christmas Curvy Keepsakes series… don’t forget to go to my Curvy Keepsakes Pinterest board…. loads more ideas for you there…. see you there…

Or if you want to see the many things that inspire me in my craft world …here I am on Pinterest….

Curvy Keepsakes Santa Belt Treat Holder

Many Merry Stars, Amanda Bates, The Craft Spa 015

This is definitely the quickest of my Curvy Treat Holders to make. And so it is of no surprise that there are lots of these to see around SU! demo blog-land.

I had based mine upon a well-loved previous After Eights treat holder I made way back when…well 2010 actually… it was a gift swap I made for our first Stampin’ Up! convention.

I just simplified it more for this years version… here he was then….

And here were my instructions to make him ….

Curvy Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer

Many Merry Stars, Amanda Bates, The Craft Spa 013

Another entry in my Curvy Keepsakes for Christmas series….. today it is Rudolph’s turn… and he definitely has a very shiny nose. Have to say he does look so cute in the flesh…… especially in bulk as he is quick & easy to do…

The antlers are from Fall Fest framelits, holly from the 12 Days of Christmas, greeting from Project Life Holiday Cheers, and the rest is just punching…
