Sharing... New Embellishments... Papers & Ribbons too...

Another display board from the Stampin Up On Stage event to share with you today.... as I think that this is the best way to show off a lot of the new papers and embellishments that are now available...

At the top... the brilliant new 6"x6" Colour Collection Paper Packs... one for each of the colour collections... showing the Brights in the long strip across the very top... with the 4 different patterns (in Coastal Cabana) in the line below... a must have for your crafty stash.... 

Then the 3 lovely new Mini 1/4" Striped Ribbons in Gorgeous Grape, Bermuda Bay & Poppy Parade... 

Then a ribbon in one of my new fave new colours, 1/2" Textured Weave Ribbon in Gray Granite (also available in Granny Apple Green)

Finishing off with Gold Mini Sequin Trim at the right (also available in Black & Silver)

Then some new embellishments and packaging items in the 4th line down... again starting at the left....

One of my Top 10 items! Lustrous White Gable Boxes.... can't wait for mine to arrive!

Then another of my new Top 10 Faves.... the Kraft Pillow Boxes... again can't wait!! 

And the the 2 new Brads off to the right... Basic above and Metallic below... so happy to have some brads back in the mix.... there have been quite a lot of projects I couldn't do without raiding my retired stash for the past few years!! Note - temporarily not currently available whilst "stuck in transit" so I can't link...

And then on the bottom line...we have Coloured Doilies

And finishing off with the new Glimmer Paper (yes ladies it did not retire after all!! It has just been re-formulated so to speak... so that it is a bit thinner... and so it works better with the dies...) in Rose, Sparkle, Silver and Gold... 

And this is where I go off searching through photos... as I am sure there was another Embellishments board.... well there should have been as there are so many new Embellishments to share... so maybe back to this another day as it is pretty late here now... though luckily most of my favourites are actually on this board!!!

Global Stampin Friends Blog Hop - That Little Bit Extra...

Hello and welcome to the Global Stampin Friends Blog Hop.... You are now with Amanda Bates at The Craft Spa near York in the UK...

Our theme this month is "That Little Bit Extra"... a chance to focus in on the embellishing part of our crafty life...

So I decided to focus on a pack of embellishments... the Painted Love Gold Vinyl Sticker pack... as it is easily missable in the Spring Summer catalogue... and they are rather nice!!! But I needed an excuse to use them...

So easy to use to spruce up anything... with 2 each of 2 different sheets  in the pack... but for today I have used them as a feature on a Home Decor item.... my huge fat candle in a storm lantern...

Some are stuck straight onto the candle... as the wax/heat never gets anywhere near those sides...

And the others simply adorn the top rim and base of the storm lantern... Spot the circle around the centre/stem of the base... just snip the circle so you have an open side to place around the stem... simples!

But they are still out... and next week I intend to use some on some simple cards... and the scrapbooking pages in tomorrow's blog hop will have some added too!! As perfect for the job... shame I didn't think of that earlier!!! But I have been so busy creating so much this week that I had to focus on just ONE creative thing at a time!!

And I might just use them with the Painted Love suite as intended too... as I know that will make some of my ladies very happy!!! And so here they are on one of the Stampin Up display boards so you can see the suite all together...

Festive Celebrations for Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to our monthly blog hop from Amanda Bates at The Craft Spa in the UK... featuring Festive Celebrations...

Now I do like to celebrate the Festive period with a special advent calendar and a 12 Days of Christmas project each year... and although I have creations from through the years that get re-used... this year was time for a new 12 Days of Christmas project... or as it is known in my house... my 12 Gins of Christmas treat! And boy is it a treat each year!

I also like to make these for friends and family as a special treat to open and savour through the next 12 days of the festive period... so it also becomes the 12 Drinks of Christmas treat for the menfolk... featuring Port and/or Whiskies mainly! Or just 12 Treats of Christmas for the younger ones... featuring mainly chocolate! They always go down very well!

So take 12 test tubes... fill with whatever the recipient will most fancy... and pop in beautifully but simply decorated packaging... care of the Treat Tubes, Acetate C6 Card Boxes, Christmas Around the World paper, Stitched Felt embellishments and Jute Twine with numbers 1-12 care of my PC and a 1/2" circle punch...

Love how those back tubes appear to be floating in mid air....

Black Rhinestone Jewels... use for eyes, snowflake centres, flower centres etc etc when you don't want clear or pearls!! I can't tell you how many times in the past I have had to get a black Sharpie marker out on my jewels!!

Champagne Foil... so beautiful... so so subtle... but has to be seen in the flesh really!

Jute Twine... can't wait to wrap all my christmas presents in this... and do a rope trick maybe!!

Big on Birthdays....

I needed a quick card to go... so I picked my current favourite birthday greetings set,  Big on Birthdays and my friends' favourite colour (Soft Sky)...

I stamped the greeting using Memento Black & coloured with markers (Soft Sky, Mint Macaron & Emerald Envy) ... and added TO YOU in Soft Sky...

The lovely flowery border stamp was perfect for stamping on the sides of the card blank in Soft Sky to add extra co-ordination and interest... And you can even fill in the centres of each side using the gift bow stamp if you want to... you may have to look very closely to see this!

And I finished off with a few sequins from the Cupcakes & Carousels embellishment pack... and it was ready to go...

And - most importantly - she loved it...

Simple little card with a beautiful So Detailed wrap ... 

Die cut... wrap edges round sides of card to form tabs around the back...  stick a piece of same size Very Vanilla cardstock onto the tabs at the back to hold it all in place...

Recognisable!? Well, I CASED this Make & Take made at the Stampin' Up! On Stage event back in November...

Funny how a difference in paper  makes me SO much more happy!

A bit of Baby Wipe Swoosh technique...

Grab a Baby Wipe and an ink pad...

Press the top of the closed ink pad so that ink transfers onto the inside of the lid...

Open up the ink pad and dab your baby wipe onto the lid to pick up the ink...

Swoosh your baby wipe across your piece of card... 

Swoosh & build up colour & texture until you are happy...

But wait... I wasn't finished with the baby wipes quite yet! Another instalment on its way...
