Share What You Love... Scallop Tag Topper Concertina Card

I have been asked to do an Eighteenth Birthday Celebrations card for my next class... and we are using the Share What You Love papers... so this is what I came up with... a Scallop Tag Topper Concertina card...

Always been a favourite card format... one that always WOWs the recipient... and one that is great to do when faced with some beautiful papers!!

But back to the card details... 

Purposefully kept simple in style... using the "simplest" of the paper patterns... and using the wonderful Letters for You alphabet stamps in Tranquil Tide... with a subtle touch of flowers inside to dress the card... though they will hate me as they will have to fussy cut these!! 

Extra internal word decorations from the  Rooted in Nature Be Strong Be Happy Be You quote... just seemed right for the occasion!

And one feature to point out... check out the ribbon... I don't have much current ribbon to use yet... so I sponged up the lovely new White 5/8" Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon using Tranquil Tide ink... great ribbon to have and to use in any colour!!

Rest of the front decorated using a metal silver flower centre from the Share What You Love embellishments kit... 

Onto a fussy cut flower from another of the Share What You Love paper patterns.... see top left below!

Greeting from Detailed With Love stamp set... 

Onto a Stitched Shapes circle die cut... laid on a 2" Circle Punched Tranquil Tide circle... onto a Pearlised Doily... onto a 2 1/2" Layering Circles die cut Mint Macaron circle

And finally finished off with a few more of the tiny handcut Saffron flowers to the top right...

Retiring Bundles - My Top 10

I have been asked by a few people to have a good honest look at the bundles.. and decide on a Top 10 List... 

Boy was this hard... especially with the split of all components retiring and those with the components carrying over come 1st June but with no discount... but here goes...

First up... stands out all on its own... Letters For You!

If you want the stamps as well as the dies... now is REALLY the time!! As otherwise you never will... these are top of my most essential dies ever list - they are used virtually every day - and I would not be without them... but yes they cost!

Nailed It ...

Can't believe this one doesn't carry over... Dies all gone but the stamps are still available... and the images are quite easy to cut out by hand after all... Wood mount £26. Clear Mount £19. 

Balloon Adventures...

Bundle £48.50. but...

Stamps only reduced from £24 to £19.20. Balloon Pop Up dies £30 to £21. Which makes the 2 parts just £40.20...so buy them separate!

I have been very surprised how much I have used these stamps as the greetings alone are brilliant... and the Pop Up die is just cool!

So Detailed/So In Love...

These So Detailed dies have been very popular round here... and they are now reduced to £21 from £30... so now is the time! And both the wood mount (£21.25 from £25) and clear mount (£13.50 from £18) mount So In Love stamps are reduced too.. so again buy the 2 parts separate if you desire... the stamps being useful but not essential in my opinion! Though great for wreaths!

Custom Tee...

Again amazed these have not carried over... so much you can do with them... and for so many events/ages... and though not totally me - I was really looking forward to having a good play with them as I have a long list of things to try out... and do bear in mind that they have been my 2nd most popular selling bundle...

Bundle £40.50. Dies £22 reduced to £15.40 . Stamps £23. So again cheaper to buy separate.

And lastly in this Top 5.... Special Reason ... (though I have just spent 10 minutes arguing with myself that it should be Basket Bunch as I used that one a lot more!! Read more about that one here...)

Again it is the Stylish Stems dies that have proven most popular... and a really good price at £16.80 from £28. Though the flower and leaves stamps do complete the package in my opinion... maybe worth buying the clear mount stamps too at just £14.40 (from £18) as I do think you get a lot for your money with both...

Class of 2016/Graduation Large Square Pop Up Z Fold Cards

Another card we have been making at classes this week to share. I had a special request for a couple of graduation cards - so the Large Square Pop Up Z Fold card came to the rescue again... Tutorial here...

This is the version I made as the class inspiration...

And this is the version then created by Heidi to reflect the female recipient of the second she needed... And then we all had to laugh... we were all swooning at the Melon Mambo mortar boards and card! ...  and none of us are exactly into the pinks... Maybe the universities should become more daring and go for colour co-ordinating mortar boards after all!! Great card Heidi....

The CLASS letters are all stamped (using the new Letters For You stamp set) and then gold heat embossed. I didn't think this would work as the stamps have a mottled effect within them.... but a slight extra heating of the embossing powder seemed to give an extra flow/filling in... then they are all die cut (Large Letters dies)  Letters For You bundle with 10% off here...

The other Large Letters and Large Numbers are just all die cut...

The mortar board is simply a die cut square (using the new Layering Squares dies). Picked up with tweezers and each edge inked up direct on the Whisper White craft ink pad.

The tassel is stamped (from the Celebrate Today stamp set) and then die-cut (using the Balloon dies). And the Congratulations GRAD! wording is from the BYOP stamp set
