Today's Thursday Tiles are full of...

Vintage vibes...  and reminding me of past denim days! And a technique that adds a mute softness to this image...

Though would have been even better if I had thought to use the Tasteful Textile embossing folder after finishing my panel.... that would have been a real WOW!

Todays Tiles mosaic stamp inked up in Misty Moonlight, stamped off on scrap paper and then stamped onto my 10.1cm/4" square panel... Repeated for the other side...
Then Gray Granite overstamped... again twice..

Greeting stamped on 10.1cm/4" x 2.5cm/1" high Whisper White panel ... and added to cover the 3rd section* down... along with a bit of simple white Bakers Twine to finish...

Adhered to a small square Seaside Spray card blank... 10.5cm or 4 1/8" square

* brilliant way of covering an "oopsy"... Shhh.. don't tell everyone...

Tuesday Tips with Today's Tiles #5

Please note that is the first of 2 posts today... please click here or scroll up for the Field of Flowers Class in The Mail details...

Another simple little idea and tip using the Today's Tiles stamp set... Ombre stamping...

Stamp inked up using Pool Party... then Coastal Cabana over middle two thirds... finishing off with Bermuda Bay for the middle third ...ish! Stamped...
Then re-inked as much the same as possible, lined up and stamped to the side...

Detail over stamped with Night of Navy... twice
Finishing off with a Stitched Shapes square with So Sentimental greeting in Bermuda Bay and Night of Navy...
And I have to admit... I may have been thoroughly enjoying this set so much... that I may now have to buy my own!

Apologies for anyone that has seen this post before... something went very wrong at the time and Blogger tells me that no one saw this post... and it is one of my favourite Todays Tiles cards so I thought I would re-post the information...

Todays Tiles #1

I think I could be addicted!

Starting off today with a really simple make featuring Today's Tiles... just a bit of stamping and a punched label... what can be simpler...

But before I start... in case you missed the news yesterday... Bonus Days have started... meaning free Stampin' Up product for you... click here for all the information...

So... I have been having a lovely play with Today's Tiles which is available as a stamp set...
The Field Tile Dies
Or as a Bundle with 10% off...
Though I only had the stamp set to hand... but for me I didn't need anything else!
So 2 step stamping of the tiles in the new Misty Moonlight and Seaside Spray on a 10cm (4") Whisper White panel ...
Then the lovely So Sentimental set greeting inked up with the Seaside Spray ink pad...
With the Misty Moonlight marker pen applied over the top and bottom words...

Then stamped...  and then punched with the (appropriately named) Label Me Lovely Punch... as a similar shape can be found within those mosaic tiles...
Note that the So Sentimental stamps come within a bundle...
Including the fabulous Stitched So Sweetly dies dies... with the 10% discounted price still applying....
Lots more to share  - and lots of tips - using this stamps set/bundle... could be quite a long series!

More Ombre Bokeh Dots & Dandelion Wishes

Quickly sharing the other half of my ombre Bokeh Dots & Dandelion Wishes duo...
More graduation in the colours this time to make things more distinctive... and colourful! So starting with Mint Macaron at the bottom (grass!)... Coastal Cabana in the centre and finishing off with Blueberry Bushel at the top...

Greeting from Friendly Expressions... note that I covered that "for all that you do" wording with a post it note...inked up in Memento... took the post it note off... and so then stamped just my Thanks greeting! Quicker than using a marker pen to ink up just the Thanks...
And a story for those of you that are very observant... the card blank on this one isn't a standard A6 card blank... as I came to mount the stamped panel onto a Blueberry Bushel layer... and realised I didn't quite have enough!! So I had to cut the Coastal Cabana card blank down to suit!
Life will become a lot easier when I have built up stocks of all the new colour card... almost there!!

Another quick little threesome from my play with Wonderful Year and the Bermuda Bay Ombre pad... plus more of the snowflake from the Tin of Tags
These are all a variant on a theme from my recent postings...so if you want product details or technique details please just go back a few day's posts... or type "ombre" in the Search box at the top right hand side... and up they should all pop...
The white die cut snowflake is from the Botanical Builder dies.... and the sequins are from the new and coming soon Fancy Frost sequins

Ombre Sponge Brayering Emboss Resist...

Another idea with the Bermuda Bay ombre pad...

White embossed Wonderful Year greeting and couple of large Tin of Tags snowflakes...
Sponge brayered ink from the ombre pad for the Emboss Resist Technique ....

Ombre-inked large snowflakes at random to finish off... plus Soft Sky Fancy Frost sequins... I have to admit that these Tin of Tags snowflakes are going to get plenty of action here at The Craft Spa...
I hope you are all having a wonderful August Bank Holiday...and managing to get a rest (or not as the case might prefer to be!)

And here is a group shot of the last 2 days' cards...

Ombre Stamping

Keeping on my ombre theme...which means more in Bermuda Bay as the other pads haven't arrived here yet!

I inked up the large Wonderful Year greeting stamp with the Bermuda Bay ombre pad... pale at the top... dark at the bottom.
I also ombre-inked up the gorgeous large snowflake from the Tin of Tags stamps set... and the little snowflake trio from Greetings from Santa... so some pale and some dark... All these stamp sets coming soon... 1st September...

And then I finished off with a few small snowflake trios in Smoky Slate and the Fancy Frost Sequins again
Simple, quick and easy card with the help of the Ombre pad... so much so I had to order more!

And Some Like it Hot!

Same card as yesterday... but a completely different bright and vibrant look...

As this time I was having a play with my Bermuda Bay Ombre ink pad.... starting off with the Direct to Paper technique... This ink pad is great for this technique as you have 5 shades to work with in the one pad...
I swiped my ink pad with the palest end to the centre (darker to bottom) and then repeated from the other side (palest to centre again, darker to top) ... I then swiped the darkest portion again at the very top and bottom... hence the not so smooth graduation of darker colour to the top and bottom edges...
Bermuda Bay Ombre Stampin’ Pad
The graduation is really smooth but again I could have got an even smoother effect had I used  my normal Whisper White cardstock (or no doubt even better with Shimmery White) but that will have to be for another day... another series!
Now watch this space...as once that Ombre pad was out... I had a good play!!

So do you like it hot? or cold?
Oh and before I go... not a Bermuda Bay lover... well also available in Rich Razzleberry and Calypso Coral... and shhh.... I am going to let the cat (or rather ink pad!!) out of the bag.... coming soon in Black and Emerald Envy
