Tin of Cards #5 - The Final Part

And so finally we get to the end of the Tin of Card series. The actual tin and the divider cards to organise all your cards behind....
I kept the tin decoration simple... just a bit of Washi tape (mine is from the Moments Like These PL accessory kit) and a simple stamped wording frame.
I didn't want to add any bulk as it would quickly become bashed and spoil the clean and uncluttered look!
Another group photo here of the tin and all 14 cards...
And here are the cards posted in 4 parts - 14 cards in total - just click on the photo to go straight to the relevant blog post with more details...
Remember that you too can do this set of cards and the wonderful tin and dividers. Suitable for beginners & experienced too...  Not only will you have 14-16 cards - but a gorgeous storage tin for your cards with index tabs as well.
Kits will not be available until August when Stampin' Up! have re-instated their stock levels... but do not wait till August to order... these are just too popular...you need to be in the queue as soon as possible...
Local to Yorkshire? Come here to Great Ouseburn (between Harrogate & York) and do a class with me at The Craft Spa. Just £25 for 4 hours. From August onwards. Running Wed 26 August 10.30-2.30 and other dates as can be arranged to suit...
Not Local? Have a Kit at Home! Just £40 delivered for the Tin and the Tin of cards stamp set. Want to add the A Dozen Thoughts stamp set that I have used on many of the cards? Not a problem... add £17 for clear-mount or £22 for wood mount.

But please do contact me as soon as possible to order...

Tin of Cards #4

And the penultimate part of my Tin of Cards series... the last Bermuda Bay cards trio... my 4th card blank having been well and truly cut up for other cards....

First up... as the SU! design... just adding a bit of doodling around the wooden speech bubble...
Second up.... same but using the plain white back of the paper strip and colouring up the speech bubble with Mint Macaron ink using the Aquapainter... Bermuda Bay stamped stars with glossy embellishments over and some more doodling around the edge...
And lastly the Butterflies one... the coloured butterflies are just created using the Bermuda Bay ink pad and Aquapainter. White body part on large one being from pushed out scrap of large yellow butterfly and a bit of Bakers Twine for the antennae....

Now I have to add a comment about the black ink used here... I did not use Staz On as directed by Stampin' Up!  - we used Memento instead... Just one lady found that her very wet Memento pad meant that one greeting ran a little bit on the wood... the other 19 stampings were fine... though we did lightly sand the wood speech bubble first...

So why not use Staz On!? Although you can use Staz On with photopolymer stamps - I do NOT recommend it  - as it dries really fast on photopolymer compared to rubber - especially in this hot weather... so it is difficult to get a decent stamped impression... particularly on paper & card...

Nor do you want to get Staz On cleaner on your photopolymer stamps - it will degrade your stamps...

Tin & the dividers tomorrow... and a quick round up .... In the meantime...
