Sneak peak - Field of Flowers Thank Yous...

So first play with my favourite bundle, Field of Flowers that I could pre-order from the new 2020-2021 Catalogue... along with the new Tasteful Textiles embossing folder...

With a simple little card for popping in with the catalogues as I posted them out... though sadly none of the new In Colors could be played with as usual ... as the ink pads got "stuck" in the system... but  I got to use some of my favourite calming colours instead...
Catalogues have been sent automatically to those ordering over £50 in the last year... and to those of you that requested one recently... but it is not too late to contact me now for your copy if you would like to be your UK demonstrator... It would really be appreciated in these times as I still cannot run my face to face classes for the foreseeable future...

The Field of Flowers bundle is a lovely stamp set along with a co-ordinating Confetti Flowers Border Punch... look for my Coastal Cabana (bluey!) flowers to see the punched images... such useful sized flowers for lots of projects using this stamp set - or not! For stamped images - or not!
Love this new embossing folder... it is called Tasteful Textiles as it has a fabric texture and feel... but I also think it is the texture of many a watercolour paper so it will be very useful for Faux Watercolour effects too...

I will be offering a Class in the Mail Kit for this bundle... more details to follow but it will be about £35 for the Base Kit ... so please email me by clicking here if you are interested... No obligations at this time...
Colours Used - Balmy Blue, Mint Macaron, Pretty Peacock, Highland Heather, Coastal Cabana

More Tuesday Thank Yous... featuring Varied Vases & Ornate Thanks

Another design for another batch of bulk thank you cards... these being sent to food industry workers to thank them for what they do...

I was inspired by 2 fellow demonstrators sharing their makes on the same day... using the soon to be retired, Varied Vases... and the greetings set, Ornate Thanks
Firstly this card by Mary Fish in the US - who actually helped to design this stamp set! Great job Mary...

I loved Mary's use of the stitched "table top" using one of the Stitched Labels dies... which I don't have... but I do have a serrated fabric tracing wheel which does the job in a flash! I just placed my card blank onto my trusty Simply Scored score board and away it rolled!
And secondly AN Other card... that I now can't find! This time I loved the simple use of just the vase outlines and had to use the idea straightaway...
And I have to admit that the Stamparatus worked its magic on me in the making of this card... can't tell you how quick these were to make once I had everything set up... so I have made 2 batches of 40 so far!

Thursday Thank yous

Following on from the batch I shared on Tuesday... the next batch were even cleaner and simpler... as I made 30 of these for the admins of the Supplies for Key Workers (Harrogate) Facebook Group to hand out to their key donators and delivery personnel. "Thanking it on" as I call it!

This group are amazing at co-ordinating the efforts of people, donations, fundraising, sourcing materials and the logistical arrangements (made even more difficult in the non-essential travel arena)... and I feel blessed to be a small part of the cumulative efforts it is achieving... as the old saying goes "Together we can achieve anything!" Well pretty much!
And the crafters, bakers & donators in us are certainly being able to play our part - be it sewing, papercrafts, knitting, crocheting, jewellery etc etc etc. Be it scrubs, laundry bags, masks & holders, cards, sweet treats, cakes, handwash or moisturising cream to name but a few items... all to make key workers lives that bit easier... and to help fill in some key resource gaps that are occurring...

But the tears also keep coming... not only do I find it overwhelming at what has been achieved so far ... but especially when staff at the hospital who cared for my mum last year (and that I saw day in day out for months) pop onto the group page to say thanks for the donations they have received... important all round I reckon...

Tuesday Thank Yous

Well hello! So I have still been busy creating during lockdown... mostly thank you cards to express my wishes of gratitude to many a Keyworker...

But before I start... I have just received the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalogues which will be sent out automatically to those of you ordering over £50 in the last year... but otherwise please feel free to contact me if you would like to arrange your own copy...
These were the first batch I made... which were sent to the Government cabinet ministers, our local village shop & Post Office workers, our village delivery volunteers and a Supplies for Key Workers Facebook (Harrogate Area) group I donate too... all just to thank them for the job that they do... especially in these difficult times...
I have also donated 100 cards for all occasions to the Supplies for Key Workers pop up shop at Harrogate Hospital... and the next 100 are being sorted out as we speak!
But gosh...10 days since I last blogged!!  And LOL... that sentence does sound like something you would say in a confessional!

I have to admit that things have changed during our total shielding lockdown... and lots of things are taking up a disproportionate part of my days... I am slowly getting back to a new routine... and hope to be back creating & blogging again on a more regular basis sometime soon...

Triple Pop Up Cube card to say Happy 21st Birthday Joe

A special Triple Pop Up Cube card for a special young man on a special day!

And isn't it lovely that the whole nation has a special day's holiday to celebrate his 21st!!
Though he's busy finishing his final year dissertation off to "hand in" today... so not sure he's feeling the love for the event yet!

And for us... on the one hand we are celebrating Joe's birthday with special food and drinks planned throughout the day for him (and tomorrow too)... and on the other hand we are celebrating the 75th Anniversary of VE Day ... so I made a banner! Care of this and this downloads

Card made using Noble Peacock Speciality Papers and Foil Sheets... gorgeous So Sentimental greeting, co-ordinating Stitched So Sweetly dies and retired Large Numbers dies...

I was inspired by the card shared here by Laurence Mirman at Lolascrap et Compagnie... and (for the first time in ages!) I had to immediately make one... Luckily she shared a tutorial too... thank you so much Laurence... I love this card!
Though I did make up my own pop up mechanism for the greetings... so on the front and the back...
By punching 2 shapes (I used the Tailored Tag punch)... scoring centrally... bone folding... sticking either side of the central crease (with the folded edges face forward/to the centre crease/line) and then sticking the stamped die cut label to them... Bit fiddly in places... but worth it...

And yes it does fold flat...
Though it did confuse Joe!! It took a little while for him to fathom it out! But it was worth it... Happy 21st Birthday Joe...

Birthday Bonanza #10

A Birthday Bonanza birthday card for right now-right here for you...

The masked one...

The socially distanced one...
And note that this would be even better with one of the sentiments from the Help to Share Sunshine Covid-19 pdf as detailed here... but I made this a few weeks ago so that wasn't around then...

Masks care of the bunting dies in the Birthday Bonanza bundle... and greetings care of snipped down Label Me Bold greetings... both of which are on the Retiring List and so will be gone soon!
So... another week of lockdown for us all... and we're still all good in our "shielding bubble"... feels like a very safe place to be... albeit Groundhog Days mode!

But I definitely don't like...
(a) not being able to go see my father
(b) not being able to get out of my garden for a walk!
Oh and of course (c) having to do cleaning!!

But everything else OK in the circumstances... Though cooking, shopping and cleaning seem to have taken over pretty much all of my life!! So working on that!! And then I can be back with you a bit more again...
