Champagne & Copper snowflakes... why not!?

As this card has been SO popular in the flesh... a re-make based on the champagne foil in a later class kit...

See more details in the earlier "golden version" post shared here... but for this one... copper greeting heat embossing and small snowflake...and champagne mat and 2 larger snowflakes...
And oh my word... apologies... as my blog post scheduling has gone to pot! Lots of projects to share with you... but not enough minutes in the day to write the details... hope to be back to normal soon!

Just a lovely little diversion of the Stampin! Up On Stage Local event in Solihull (UK) from Friday to Sunday first!

I am so looking forward to time with crafty friends old and new... can't beat it... especially when there is a new catalogue and products to see... the Centre Stage event for leaders on Friday... a team meal out on Saturday... swaps to swap... and some crafting on the day thrown in too! Good times...
So really looking forward to seeing so many of you blog followers based in the UK again... And for UK followers that I have not met yet! Love to meet you there if you want to make yourself known to me...

And I hope that I may have a swap for all of you too...

And for everyone else in the Stampin' Up world heading off to On Stage events further afield this weekend... have a wonderful time... and I of course have a virtual swap for you!!

Year of Cheer Gift Bow card

Simple and sweet... the foiled snowflake Year of Cheer papers do all the talking!

Silver embossed Watercolor Christmas greeting...
Coupled with a Bow Builder punched Champagne Foil gift bow... punched from the foil mat...waste not want not!

And finished off with a Clear Faceted Gem... saves bending that fiddly little bit around the centre of your bow!
Couple of tips for when you are punching and assembling bows from Foil Papers...

(1) stretch the loop parts slowly and many times into shape with your Bone Folder... avoids creasing...

(2) use Mini Glue Dots to assemble...

Season & Year of Cheer Double Display Card

So a remake was on the cards for this one... something for Christmas this time... but using the same Year of Cheer papers, Foil Snowflakes, Clear Faceted Gems and the old favourite Large Square Double Display card fold...

But a few other details changed as I went along...
Seasonal Layers snowflakes die cut from the Champagne Foil before assembly...

And if you look closely... some of the snowflake waste was used as pin/brad heads at the corners and centres... perfect little detail... so they are all getting saved now!
Die cut Stitched Frames circle used for the greeting.... which is from Watercolor Christmas...and heat embossed in copper...

Large Foil Snowflakes cut and stuck the other way round...

Alternative Watercolor Christmas Kit

Subtle difference... but one that adds a real pop as it "anchors" all the gold sequin trim...

Just the use of gold embossing for the greetings... compared to the black ink as recommended and as can be seen by clicking here.... have to admit that there was a real queue for the heat gun once one was embossed...
All the details for the cards here too...
And some more close ups of the embossed versions for you... made by friends...

Watercolor Christmas Stamps & Card Kit

Introducing the lovely Watercolor Christmas stamp set... available in Wood Mount or Clear mount... fabulous sentiments and how I love those little trees!! But more on those another day...
Watercolor Christmas Clear-Mount Stamp Set
And the co-ordinating card kit of the same name...
Watercolor Christmas Project Kit
I thoroughly enjoyed putting cards together SO quickly! Though the beautiful gold foil envelope inserts will probably meet another end.... as I can die cut lots from those! And maybe still use them as inserts with shaped cut outs if I think about it!  So real value for money....

I also have to admit that these cards have interested my ladies more than any other christmas card kit released by Stampin' Up!

As Stampin' Up ! says.... Create handmade Christmas cards in minutes! The cards in this kit take only minutes to assemble, thanks to preprinted elements that look like you water-coloured them by hand. Coordinates with the Watercolor Christmas Stamp Set (sold separately).

Kit includes:
* 20 card bases, 5 each of 4 designs, folded card size: 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" (10.8 x 14 cm)
* Envelopes with gold foil liners
* Cardstock
*Printed die-cut accents and backgrounds
* Gold Mini Sequin Trim

Coordinating colours: Basic Black, Calypso Coral, Emerald Envy, Pool Party, Real Red

Want to see more... then check out this video...
And here are my cards separately...

Quilt Top embossing folder & snowflakes...

I had a few requests yesterday to show the new embossing folders in action....

So starting off with the lovely Quilt Top folder... something quick & simple for you... but a real WOW in the flesh...

A large square card (14.8cm aka nearly 6") decorated with a gold embossed greeting from Watercolor Christmas (available in wood and clear mount) This is the stamp set that co-ordinates with the Watercolor Christmas card kit...
Together with  Gold Foil die cut snowflakes using the Seasonal Layers dies (available as dies only or in the Colorful Seasons bundle with 10% off)....

And yes the snowflakes were cut from the Gold Foil mat I used on the card... waste not want not!

Finished off with large pearls
Beautiful embossing folder... beautiful snowflakes... and I love the greeting too.... a trio made in heaven...
