Few additions to this one....

Embossed with the Tufted folder to give the card a quilted look... hope you can see in this close up...

Both of which come highly recommended!!

And remember that these Snowflake Showcase products are only available during November... or while supplies last... which reminds me... as we already have a stock out... no White Velvet sheets left!! So well done to those of you that ordered these early...

Whole Lot of Lovely #2 - U Fold Card

Following on from yesterday's post I have another card made on the spot with the Whole Lot of Lovely kit we were given at Quarterly Team Training...

So the U Fold card was in my brain on the day having just presented Julie with such a card for her Stampin' Up! 9th year birthday (which I did forget to photo!) ... and then quickly helped her make one up for her crafty session the following day...
But I had to laugh as I remembered the dimensions slightly wrong when making this one.... luckily you can't really tell... but anyways you can click here for the Tutorial with the correct dimensions for a C6 envelope... the front bar being the simple 5.5 x 3cm version...
Not much to say about the decoration... the cardstock and stamping is all Pear Pizzazz.... the flowers are fussy cut from the papers and the ribbon is the new Pear Pizzazz Shimmer ribbon...
And an update on my efforts for the Birthday Wishes Challenge... 100 birthday cards finished and ready to send to Stampin' Up! for distribution to the Ronald Mac Donald houses...

And I have to add... what a card making marathon this month... I have made nearly 250 cards in total... no wonder I had run out of Thick Whisper White!!!

Whole Lot of Lovely #1 - Double Z Joy Fold Card

So we had Quarterly Training last week... and we were given a little unexpected challenge....

Julie handed us a bagged kit of Whole Lot of Lovely papers, co-ordinating cardstock & embellishments and the Lots of Love stamps and ink were placed in the centre of the table... one of the ideas being that we should be on the receiving end of a class situation where everything needs to be shared amongst everyone in the room....
But we had to design our own cards on the spot too... you should have seen our faces!!!

But you can never stop a group of demonstrators from being creative... and everyone made some gorgeous projects... Though we were all uncommonly polite and tidy with the stamps and inks!!!
So this is the first of my Whole Lot of Lovely makes... another fully opening A6 Double Z Joy Fold card as the tutorial was in my brain at the time!! Click here for the Tutorial to make one for yourself...

Quick share today as I am a woman on a mission... 100 cards to make today for the Stampin' Up! UK 10000 Birthday Wishes card challenge for Ronald MacDonald Houses. Read more about this weekend's challenge here....

Upright Double Z Joy Fold Card in Irresistibly Floral

Interesting card fold this one... Super simple... easy to do...

And one you have just seen before! Just in another orientation...
So click here for the card fold tutorial... bet you weren't expecting that! Hence why I have called it an Upright Double Z Joy Fold Card...

Though I think the photo watermark may have given it away if you are observant!
And here is what it looks like sitting up on the mantelpiece (or a white box in my example!!!)
Again using the reduced Irresistibly Floral papers... and Big on Birthdays for the greetings.... with a mixture of Sponge Brayering, Finger Sponge Daubing and Marker Colouring to achieve the stripey front paper, two tone back paper and the fabulous brayered/coloured in inside the lines small paper at the inside top...

Great fun to decorate and all my ladies loved it... (apart from maybe all that fussy cutting of the flowers! More details on colouring those flowers here too... )

Number of Years Double Z Joy Fold Card

Just sharing Heidi's version of this week's Double Z Joy Fold Cards using the new Pop of Pink papers... she had 5 minutes left to complete it... so no time for the multi Marquee Messages etc... and she did to such great clean & simple effect using the Number of Years stamps and the Large Numbers dies.... Love it! The little gold stars are from the new Metallic Enamel Shapes pack...
So much so Heidi... guess what I then made for next year's stash...
I just couldn't resist as I had a spare card pack!
Thanks again for the inspiration Heidi!

Super CAS Thinking of You Floral Phrases Cards

I don't think you can get much simpler than these... but they say what you need to say when you need to say it!!! Using Floral Phrases and hostess Time of Year stamp sets
Added 3D'd roses on the first one for a bit of extra dimension...
Night of Navy Rose sprays second stampings... so wording more vibrant...

Detailed Floral Phrases Roses - and a few tips....

Love the rose image in the Floral Phrases set... Armed with scissors you can have a gorgeous individual rose image in about 30 seconds... or about a minute will result in a couple of leaf sprays which come in handy too...
And I have to admit that the rose & leaves image detracted from my liking of the stamp set at first... In fact I wasn't going to buy the bundle... but then I realised I could get the clear mount bundle for free from Stampin' Up! with some of my earned rewards... and so I did... phew... as I love the greetings... and this image after all....

So back to the card... it started off life as the super CAS panel... but I noticed that there was a mark on my panel so I couldn't stamp a Floral Phrases greeting as intended... so my Hostess Time of Year stamp set was still out... and the banner made for a great cover up job...
So first tip for you here (of 3) ... the mark was because a piece of die cut scrap was on my Precision Plate when I went to cut the next panel...so when the pressure was applied through the Big Shot... there was a small dent left behind... so make sure you don't have any scraps lying around on your plate!!

Back to the card... I thought it was a bit... plain... so I faffed around with a few ideas and then realised that that rose would make a great add on... these are second stampings ( ie ink ued in Night of Navy, stamped off onto a scrap of paper, and then stamped on Thin Whisper White card) And yes I had to use the leaves too... I do like my fussy cutting!!
And a second tip for you (of 3) ...for the rose... you can cut it out at different sizes... really easy as there are the lines there for you to cut round... so my top left rose is full size...whereas my bottom right rose is smaller....
And a third tip(s) for you... for the die-cutting of the Detailed Floral dies... which I am finding really straightforward!! After a bit of playing around initially... Which is incredible with this amount of detail....

For me the recommended Precision Plate is key... with the multipurpose platform with both tabs...

I roll the die and card through twice...  I also then flip the die and card over and roll it through again (so for a 3rd time)... so this time the die is cutting through onto the plastic plate... and suddenly some extra magic happens....

Then the bits are just falling off... a tap or two of the die resulting in most of the bits dropping out... if not... a quick brush with the die cut brush and everything is out.... I think I have only had to poke out 2-3 of the tiniest bits on a few cuts...

Detailed Floral Clean & Simple Notecard Set

Did I tell you these Detailed Floral dies are my favourite product...ever!! They work like a dream.... though they do require the recommended Precision Plate in my opinion...

I started to make my customer Thank You cards to go out with orders... and the process just started to change as I carried on with my task!! So I just had to share...

First we have a Night of Navy die cut panel mounted onto a plain Whisper White card blank...
Next we have a Whisper White card blank die cut... then a Night of Navy panel mounted onto the back of the die cut area...
Then we have a Whisper White card blank die cut... then a Night of Navy panel mounted onto the back of the card...
Finishing off with a Night of Navy card blank die cut... then a Whisper White panel mounted onto the back of the card... with the greeting embossed in white on this version...
I love all 4 versions.... but the last 2 look so beautiful as you peep through that filigree detail... and require no fussy "being tight with your Tombow" glue action on narrow filigree sections...! So easy peasy... though less strong when standing up of course...

And a few other details...

The card blank is a 10.5cm Square card blank (4 1/8" Square).

I am cutting a 10.2cm (4") wide panel to die cut through (ie as in the first version)

And a 9.9cm (3 15/16") panel to stick on the backs

I have used the co-ordinating Floral Phrases stamps... which I have quickly come to LOVE... but more on that another day...

And I finished off simply with Night of Navy or Whisper White Solid Bakers Twine. Really wish I had bought all the coloured Solid Bakers Twines straightaway... loving them!! Oh well I am ordering again later this week so I can quickly resolve that stock problem....

Now back to using the co-ordinating Floral Boutique papers for next week's classes.... Ooh... think I might just create a box for 4 notecards....

And finally... I have to admit... I think you are going to see a lot of makes over the months with these papers!!! I think they are the business....! In my happy corner...

Keeping it Simple and Floral...

I have to admit that the Detailed Floral Thinlits dies were right at the top of my New Catalogue Wish List... as they are just stunning... Along with their co-ordinating stamp set, Floral Phrases. And available in a Bundle with 10% off... in Wood mount and Clear mount

I have been working hard with them today!!! Which means a few makes to come... and some tips in using them too...
But my first share is pretty much as intended... and pretty much as the sample on the catalogue page/on line store... just a night of navy card base instead of white and no random sequins....

Oh and I have flipped the thinner part to the bottom... just suits my eye more!!

Botanical Blooms Trio card

Been itching to share this card for a while...  it had quite an effect on my ladies at classes last week! I was so pleased that Sassy Salutations was at least reduced for them on the Retiring List!

The border die and the flowers in the Botanical Blooms dies really are quite special... so I am very glad that they are carrying over into the new 2016-17 catalogue... plenty more to share using these...
Now I can't take any credit for the majority of this card! I have seen variants all over Pinterest as it really is too good not to make... so here are a few links to hopefully get the credit back to the originator(s).

I believe Carolyn Bennie in Australia was the genius behind the marker/sponging decoration of the flowers with these stunning flowers she made shown here...
Carolyn Bennie Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Occasions Catalogue 2016 Stampin' Up! Botanical Gardens Botanical Blooms carolynbennie.com 3D Hibiscus Flowers:
.... and although I was inspired to immediately make this when team mate Julie Kettlewell's posted her navy version... she in turn was inspired by Sue Vine 's stunning Melon Mambo creation....

All I changed was the colour (as my ladies do love their purples!)... and I used 3 of the flower sizes instead of just the large one... easier to die cut that way - and I prefer the resultant lighter look...
But I do have to laugh as my ladies are now all wanting to make boxes for their cards to go in as the flattening of those beautiful flowers is quite upsetting them!!! Think another Envelope Punch Board class and a Box Frame card might be on the cards in the not too distant future....
