New Catalogue Blog Hop – Snow Festival Papers - aka Scallop Square Die #20-22

The Craft Spa, SU, Stampin Up, Demonstrator, Snow Festival New 2012-13 Catalogue Blog Hop 01 (1)

Welcome to The Craft Spa for you that have come from the beautiful projects on Carolyn’s blog - and for you starting here..... just a few words to explain!!  A group of nearly 40 extremely talented Stampin' Up! UK demonstrators have got ourselves organised (via the forum In Love with Stamping) in the form of a blog hop to show you some projects using products from the new Stampin' Up! Annual & Autumn/Winter catalogues. These products are all available from today….. 1st October.

I have used quite a lot of products in the Autumn & Winter catalogue as I LOVE these Snow Festival papers – so it seemed rude not to…. see my Special Offers page to see how you can pick up a Snow Festival kit to make these projects for yourself….. or just the tutorial if you already have lots of these papers!!

So I have 3 projects to show you today…..

The Craft Spa, SU, Stampin Up, Demonstrator, Snow Festival New 2012-13 Catalogue Blog Hop 01 (5)

Firstly my Gingerbread House – complete with gingerbread men and candy canes from the new Scentsational Season stamp & Framelit bundle. As well as a Scallop Square die cut roof and base - of course!

This is based on the House Mini Book that Michelle Last demoed at Stampin’ Up! Convention 2 years ago… I made one earlier in the year but couldn’t get my ribbon to lay flat at the side – which resulted in my sides “gaping”  when closed… so … The Craft Spa, SU, Stampin Up, Demonstrator, Snow Festival New 2012-13 Catalogue Blog Hop 01 (3)a die cut scallop square came to the rescue…. to make a base that the book/house fits into nicely!! So it ends up as a box come mini book I suppose.

And here is the inside of the “book” – all ready for some photos to be added…..

And don’t you just love those felt snowmen!! Big thanks to my good friend Alison for these – I just wish I was SO clever!!! They are just SO cute!!

The Craft Spa, SU, Stampin Up, Demonstrator, Snow Festival New 2012-13 Catalogue Blog Hop 01 (6)Secondly, my After Eight Dispenser Box.

I have seen lots of similar tea caddies around the Web – but we don’t have a tea drinker at Christmas – so with a quick tweak to the dimensions and a Scallop Square Base and lid – my dispenser box for After Eights was born. This will get a lot of use in my house at Christmas…… And quite a few friends will be getting these as gifts… so there will be more versions to show here later…..

The Craft Spa, SU, Stampin Up, Demonstrator, Snow Festival New 2012-13 Catalogue Blog Hop 01 (7)And last but – but very definitely not least – my Chocolate Smarties Penguin Exploding Box.

This is a CASE of my own Easter Lindt Chocolate Bunny project . I have been desperately wanting to find chocolate penguins ever since – and voila – Smarties have done me proud!!   I just needed to tweak the dimensions again as the penguin is taller. I love that it is “mature” on the outside of the box… and then so cute on the inside…..

The Craft Spa, SU, Stampin Up, Demonstrator, Snow Festival New 2012-13 Catalogue Blog Hop 01 (8)The Polar Party stamp set was superb for this project – though you could use Owl Punch Art Penguins instead….

And how perfect is the new Sweater Trim ribbon for a little scarf!!!

Both of the catalogues are linked to the top left of my blog – but go here to go straight  to the BIG Annual Catalogue released today!!

If you would like to make up these projects for yourself – I have the tutorials available for purchase – or if you need the products as well – I have put together a special Snow Festival kit  - shown here on my Snow Festival Kit Offer page - which includes all the card, paper & ribbon etc that you need to be able to make these…. and the tutorial for free.

And now it is time to pass you onto Pat's wonderful creations . EDITED TO ADD…. there appears to be a glitch with this link – please come back and press the link again if you get passed into a webring the first time!!

New Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue Released Today

20121001_AnnualCatalogue_EUHere it is… the 2012-13 Annual Catalogue - which is released today.

Just click the image or go here to the on-line Catalogue. Or it is also linked at the top left of my blog….

If you want your own hard copy – for just £3 collected or £5.20 posted - just email/contact me via the box on the top right hand side. I will also include a voucher for you to get the £3 back in free product on your first order of £30+ during October/November - or £7 free product for an order over £60.

And - if relevant – to save yourself some postage costs ( £4.95 direct from SU!) – my next 2 monthly orders will be going in on Wednesday 3rd October and 1st November. Note that - even if you can’t collect - I can often post you goods on for cheaper than that £4.95….

The catalogue has grown enormously this year – by over 70pages - now 205 pages of stamps, dies & embossing folders, wheels, tools and storage along with colour-co-ordinated papers, accessories, card & inks….. And there is our Autumn/Winter Catalogue too – another 39 pages – so 244 pages in total – that is 50% more pages of product to choose from since last October!!!!

Too much to summarise here….. but come back after 10 am today 1st October for a blog hop to show you lots of new products – or on Thursday 4th October for a post highlighting some new key products….. though I will be posting some quick project posts in the meantime…..

I am blown away… we now have everything that Stampin’ Up! are selling worldwide…….. Yay!!! My only difficulty now is choosing what I can afford to order for “myself”….. good job I have learnt lots and lots of free stamp sets this year…. great year to be in this position!!
