Simple on Sunday - Grassy Grove & New Horizons Aperture Card

This is my favourite card so far in my New Horizons & Grassy Grove series... so simple... but a stunner...

Just a Grassy Grove die cut in a portrait tent fold card blank... And then a quick trim of the card blank to 4" wide... which happens to neaten... and "best even out" those tree trunk widths to either side... Trust me you will know exactly what that means should you make one...

Then a stamped 4" x 3"H (7.5cm) paper piece inserted for the background...

With a quick trim of the leftover bottom 3"H piece for that front base panel.... ie trimmed to best match my aperture positioning... so everyone will be slightly different (though for info - mine is  4.5cm - about 1 3/4" high)

Fussy cut On the Horizons greeting... and finished off with a piece of Black Twine...

And here are the 2 cards primarily created from that one piece of paper...

And hopefully the following picture will save a 1000 words about the paper cutting for the 2 cards...

Sending Flowers #3 - Simple Aperture Card

Got on a bit of a roll with my Sending Flowers dies... so here is another Aperture Card...

But I have now had to stop myself... and move onto more makes for Mother's Day and Easter... though all of my 5 Sending Flowers designs will be suitable for those 2 occasions in any case!

But I couldn't let myself repeat my 22 Painted Poppies projects I shared over the last week!! I don't have any display space left!!
So today's card is possibly the simplest of my 5 designs...

Grace's Garden #2 meets Winter Woods

Simple sponged Grace's Garden scene through an aperture... bringing in the trees from Winter Woods and a greeting from Peaceful Moments...
Which is a greeting set I love... as it covers so many occasions... and it co-ordinates so well with the Grace's Garden greetings too...
Also spot the stamped wood grain on the arch... more than one way to achieve this...

Winter Woods silver birch trio image...
Birch background stamp..

How to decorate & Hang Your Stockings

Really simple little trio of small square Hang Your Stocking cards (10.5cm aka 4 1/8" ) today... great for your bulk Christmas cards as so quick and easy...

But before I start... do you know that voting for the 2017 British Craft Awards is now open... Note that UK residents also get the chance to enter the prize draw for an Amazon voucher too...
Select the Papercraft category... and not only can you vote for Stampin Up! (or whoever!) as Brand of the Year ... But there is also a category for "your one must read blog for crafty inspiration". Now I am not on the nomination list... but as I am honoured that many of you feedback that I am your first-to-visit/ must read blog... there is the option to select Other and enter whichever blog name you wish.... Just sayin'...

Right back to today's creative share... These makes were inspired by this gorgeous Quarterly Training swap card from my lovely and very talented team-mate Julie Wade...
First up a Sahara Sand stocking stamped, die cut and 3D'd to the front of a card blank... Finished off with a stamped and die cut cuff, a red Mini Jingle Bell and Gold Bakers Twine bow
Second up a Real Red stamped and die-cut stocking stuck through a die cut aperture in the card blank. Finished off with a Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper die-cut bow and a Rhinestone Jewel...
And lastly, the Razzle Dazzle one... though I don't think it will show up so well in this photo.... a Real Red glitter embossed & die cut stocking again stuck through a die-cut aperture. Finished off with a Red/White Bakers Twine bow. And apologies for the smudge above the greeting... I didn't photo pre-classes so it got marked!
And a tip for using your Glitter Embossing powders when you want real depth to the colour when using a solid image like this one!

Ink up the stamp in Versamark, then go and ink up in Real Red and then stamp... Add the embossing powder and then heat to melt. Not sure what it does to my Real Red pad if I do a lot of these...but I can always wipe that sticky Versamark off and re-ink with Real Red when I am done!
