Tuesday Trio - Geraniums....

So as I was kitting out the Welcoming Window Class in the Mail... I thought I should add a simple but fun fold card to the pack... just to say Thank You...

But time was of the essence... so a simple easel card with geraniums fit the bill... and so making a nice little trio of geranium cards for you...

Love how the planter makes the perfect "stop" and greeting label for the card... with those flowers strategically placed below the window...

Bricks stamped repeatedly in Sahara Sand using the brick stamp in the set... and then Sahara Sand ink brush blended (or sponged) over the top...

Missed out on the first round of the Welcoming Window Class in the Mail kit...

Well never fear... second round requested and now on for the product bundle with the 10 card free class kit in the UK ... Close date 23rd March... though actually the card kits can be with you within 5 days (on a first come first served basis... as I prepped a few more as I was doing the first round)

Live elsewhere or already have your own Welcoming Windows.... you can just buy all the tutorials for not 8... not even 10.. or 14... but actually 15 cards... in a whopping 19 pages of step by step photo tutorials in PDF format...

PS this Simple Easel card is not included in the Tutorials... But just score a LANDSCAPE 21 x 10.5cm piece of card at 5.25 and 10.5cm (or for US Letter.. trim & score a LANDSCAPE 8 1/2" x 4 1/4" piece of card at 2 1/8" & 4 1/4") and mountain bone fold both score lines

Terracotta Pots and Geraniums...

I just found another Welcoming Window card that I missed at the time.... check out the simple stamping of greenery for the small pot on the left hand side...
Again another card that takes me back to many a holiday in sunny France... with geraniums in terracotta pots around barns....

Though I had a play with the colours used for the terracotta pots... and decided I like Calypso Coral (large pot) and Terracotta Tile (small pot) the best...

But I also tried Cajun Craze and Cinnamon Cider...

Retail Therapy anyone? Best Dressed Bench Fold Shop Window Card

Love these new girlie Best Dressed papers, Dressed to Impress stamp set and the whole Best Dressed Suite... not like anything that I have had before!
And love the new Bench Fold Card design that they inspired... call this one the Shop Window!

Been wanting to make a window for a while! And these images just gave me the perfect excuse... I can see a few variants of these over the months and years ahead!
And yes it does fold up flat to go in an envelope... though I think I will have to pop this one in an extra large square one to fit the canopy in...
Want the know how? Click HERE to order the tutorial...

Only been three years since the first series!
And I wonder where that list I wrote 3 years ago is... of nearly 100 different projects for my Bench Fold design! And I have to admit that I have thought of more to add recently!

Happy Home - Triple Scene in a Triple Window...

I think a lot of you will have known this one was coming.... this was one of my most pinned Hearth & Home projects back in September. So much so I had re-made a Christmas version... but I have now just realised that very strangely I never blogged that one! So I will make up for that at the end of this blog post....

So a Spring Summer version of a triple scene through 3 windows on a standard DL sized card...

The windows are 3 separate die cut white windows each decorated with a snipped out Sahara Sand frame (from a Sahara Sand die cut window) Left and right are stuck on flat and the centre one is 3D foam padded over the top....
Masks for above and below the horizon created... To make a mask - I stamp each of the scenes onto small pieces of card and simply cut along the middle of the horizon lines to create the 2 parts... And a little extra tip for you... I usually label the lower (grass) part as which is which is not always obvious when you come to use them...
Sky sponged with Soft Sky & Lost Lagoon... and grass sponged with Pear Pizzazz & Mossy Meadow.

Cherry Blossom tree coloured in using dabbing motion of Pink Pirouette marker pen (lots of times!) and clouds coloured in with white Signo gel pen
And here is the Christmas version I made using the Happy Scenes stamps that are now sadly retired....
Still can't work out why this did not get shared pre Christmas... sorry about that... but better late than never...
Don't know if you can see but the tree in the middle is very heavily snow laden care of Tombow & Dazzling Diamonds glitter...loved that effect...

Special New Home Congratulations Card

A break from Christmas makes again today...

Though you may think this seems familiar...
A very special friend of mine moved house recently... so it was time for a special card...

And this format sprang to mind - for which the tutorial is posted here...
Though I had a few extra challenges...
(1) time was not on my side.. I had an hour before we needed to be in the car and on the way to their new house...luckily I had a few strategic makes left over from my Christmas card making!
(2) I don't have any New Home wording stamps...so my brain had to get inventive...
(3) I did plan a long banner going across the whole card...but reason (1) stopped that!
So how did I get round the lack of New Home wording...
(1) the slim wide Congratulations is from Bravo...
(2) the NEW banner is using the Back to Basics alphabet - just punched out with the Banner Punch - simples!
(3) the HOME is from the Homemade for You... I just put a post it note over the MADE and kitchen utensils - inked up - removed the Post It note - and stamped & embossed...
I also used the FOR YOU WITH LOVE from the Homemade for You to dress up the mirror... though I have now spotted that I didn't stamp it centrally spot on in my haste! Aargh....
And a more summery scene behind the windows this time.... Soft Sky sponged sky - and Mossy Meadow & Aquapainter pen for the grass and trees...

Anyway... the card was very well received... I do love the fact that I can make something that brings such happiness to others! I just never own up as to how long it may have taken me!!
And finished off on the front with the larger Wonderful Wondrous wreath this time...

Now I just have to remember in a month or so's time that she is not having the matching Christmas card!!
