Blackberry Bliss Rose Wonder

This is a card that Patsy made!! Didn't she do well... I love this version... so had to share with you all ... though I don't think the photos actually do the card justice... the Blackberry Bliss is just "scrummy"
Patsy came to class and wanted to make a card for her husband for the following day... so here it is! We just switched the white rose on the original card for the somewhat darker and deeper Blackberry Bliss...and changed the wording to that in the Birthday Blooms stamp set...
Happy Birthday Brian...

And as a final note...don't forget that the 2014-16 In Colors will retire in a few weeks time... so don't forget to stock up on your ink refills this month if you have the pads... as well as any cardstock, papers and ribbons etc...

Once the retiring list is published in May everything goes out of stock really fast (ink refills in minutes!)  Just sayin!.. And the Washi Tape is on Weekly Deals this week (so 25% off)

And here is a great summary sheet of the items in question produced by Lyssa Zwolanek .... thank you for this Lyssa...

Happy Home Watercoloured Duo & New Weekly Deals

Think these finish off the Happy Home series for now... another double scene for you...

A couple of cards to show the difference between Whisper White and Shimmery White card for Aqua Painter watercolouring...

The card to the left is on Shimmery White...subtle, smooth and slightly shimmery!
And the one to the right is on Whisper White... looked the same at the production/wet stage... but every brushstroke evident when dried... which gives its own effect... but we all much preferred the smoothness of the Shimmery White...
And interestingly all my ladies last week preferred the Shimmery White over the Watercolor Paper too

And here are this week's Weekly Deals... very happy to see Perfect Pennants on there... a favourite amongst my ladies. My order going in early Friday if anything you want here and you can collect from me....

PS hopefully my posts are now back to their usual coffee time! February was a busy month - and a poorly me for over half of it!!

Happy Home Clean & Simple Trio

And so the final card in my Clean & Simple Happy Home trio and a round up picture...
Again a simple standard card with a single white Hearth & Home die cut window... plus a simple single scored skirting board panel at the bottom... which was CASEd from the very talented fellow Jem, Allie Joliffe's Team Training swap card...
Again a kite flying from the beach scene... with a watercoloured and Wink of Stella'd sea ... look at that shimmer....
With 3 little birds in the sky care of my black marker and 3 ticks...
And here are all 3 together again...

CAS Happy Home Card

Making Happy Home even simpler.... single white Hearth & Home die cut window on a standard Sahara Sand card...

Tree scene stamp inked up with marker pens... and stamped on a small panel... then my masks and sponges used to colour in the sky and grass...

And a quick tip for you...the tree is set very centrally in the stamp image...so when you pop it behind a window the central vertical slat covers the tree trunk... so I just moved my small panel off to the left so you can still see it is a tree!!

Happy Home - Triple Scene in a Triple Window...

I think a lot of you will have known this one was coming.... this was one of my most pinned Hearth & Home projects back in September. So much so I had re-made a Christmas version... but I have now just realised that very strangely I never blogged that one! So I will make up for that at the end of this blog post....

So a Spring Summer version of a triple scene through 3 windows on a standard DL sized card...

The windows are 3 separate die cut white windows each decorated with a snipped out Sahara Sand frame (from a Sahara Sand die cut window) Left and right are stuck on flat and the centre one is 3D foam padded over the top....
Masks for above and below the horizon created... To make a mask - I stamp each of the scenes onto small pieces of card and simply cut along the middle of the horizon lines to create the 2 parts... And a little extra tip for you... I usually label the lower (grass) part as which is which is not always obvious when you come to use them...
Sky sponged with Soft Sky & Lost Lagoon... and grass sponged with Pear Pizzazz & Mossy Meadow.

Cherry Blossom tree coloured in using dabbing motion of Pink Pirouette marker pen (lots of times!) and clouds coloured in with white Signo gel pen
And here is the Christmas version I made using the Happy Scenes stamps that are now sadly retired....
Still can't work out why this did not get shared pre Christmas... sorry about that... but better late than never...
Don't know if you can see but the tree in the middle is very heavily snow laden care of Tombow & Dazzling Diamonds glitter...loved that effect...

Happy Home - Double Scene in a Double Window card

Been working with the Hearth & Home dies again with the Happy Home stamps...

Doubled up Happy Home scene... masks created for above and below the scene... grass and sky sponged and white gel pen blossom this time...
Simple little double window as this earlier card here...

Covering the joins with a simple heart and planter of flowers this time...

I did try off-setting my cut plates/die to get a double window without a join... it did work but with a wider centre window frame... I prefer this version...and it is SO much easier to create!

More Timeless Textures & Happy Home - Simple Square Easel Card

Another card from my Happy Home classes this week.
Again using the Timeless Textures Faux Watercolour background as on yesterday's card... but on a Shimmer White card panel this time... which really adds a subtle finishing touch...

My Circle of Spring stamp set also had it's first outing on this card  for the greeting and the bow. And the flowers are care of the Pictogram Punches stamp and the co-ordinating little Punch Trio

The card format is another Simple Easel Card variant... More details on the specifics to come in the near future...
But as background... I have decided to re-look at some of my more popular Fancy Fold cards/tutorials and try to re-design so you have something similar but even simpler to make... This one is based on the Swing Easel Card... Looks pretty similar but ... it just doesn't have the swing!
One thing to note - the papers are from the retired Subtles 12x12 Paper Stack - I went to get my Soft Sky and Pear Pizzazz papers from the current Subtles Paper Stack... and the cupboard was bare! Oops... Lucky I had a fall back option for the class....

Timeless Textures Faux Watercolour Effect

Oh gosh... how do I love Timeless Textures!! Here is a very simple  - but very effective - card to show why...

The sky and grass background is all stamped care of Timeless Textures and Soft Sky and Pear Pizzazz ink pads...

Top first...then sides...plus some secondary stamping as a filler for the central area... then upside down for the grass... and then the tree image from the Happy Home stamp set was stamped...
This will make some of my ladies VERY happy... the ones that HATE doing the Clear Block Stamping Technique... randomness all gone this way...

And the blossom is just splatting my Pink pirouette marker pen on the tree image... lots of times!!!
Wording from the Sale A Bration promotional Perfect Pairings set...

Missing you at Night-time!

This is a somewhat darker - or night-time - version of this card shared earlier in the week... so worth sharing straight after my watercoloured framed trio..... keeps them altogether...

Water-coloured using Night of Navy and Mossy Meadow inks instead of Pool Party & Pear Pizzazz...
Even smaller heart on the bench....

Very Pink Cherry Blossom Tree in the Happy Home Series

So here is the group picture of this trio of Happy Home framed water-coloured cards...
The third card being a very pink Cherry Blossom tree.... amazing how bright Blushing Bride with Rose Red highlights can be!
In fact it proved so pink...that I had to quickly grab my trusty white gel pen and add white blossom over the top!
This card is also Aqua Painter brush water coloured using Pool Party and Pear Pizzazz on Water Color Paper...
