Scraps on Sunday - Peaceful Place #2

Another card in my Peaceful Place suite class set... Love it when the scraps of one card make a quick base for another...

But before I start... an admin matter... regarding blog post notification emails not arriving... click HERE for details to rectify... or simply to subscribe to blog post notifications by email for the future....
So the die cut Stitched Rectangle aperture from this card creates the background sky...
Just add a die cut panel and a Stampin Blends coloured fussy cut house (from the Peaceful Place papers) to create a perfect little scene... Simples!

Fancy Fold Friday - Peaceful Place #1 - Concertina Diorama Card

Quick share of one of the cards featuring in my Peaceful Place suite class...

Set on a 5 layer Concertina Diorama card to set the peaceful 3D scene...

Edited to Add -  I have written up up a PDF tutorial bundle for 6 of my Peaceful Place cards... and I offer a Class in the (UK only) post too... See HERE for more details

Have to admit that I thoroughly enjoyed making this set of cards as not only is this  my favourite suite in the seasonal catalogue (well I have always loved creating a scene... and these papers are just perfect for that)

But I always love it when a product inspires some new card folds... but more of those on another day...

Happy Valentines Day - an ape chocolate twist!

I had this idea as soon as I saw the Hey Love ape... and even stamped a couple of apes to experiment... but time rolled on (as it does) and it wasn't until this week when I was packing my son's Valentine box that I finally remembered...
And I reckon it worked... 3D card with a cheeky monkey holding a chocolate heart... though I guess that this ape has been trashed by now... and the chocolate well and truly scoffed!
And a few photos that hopefully say it all... for anyone needing a quick fix to having forgotten so far today!! Just stamp, colour, cut & stick a couple of apes like so.....

More details on the colouring and the card for you here...

Hope you have all had a lovely Valentines Day... and that you have all been spoilt!

Garage Card Part 3... Happy Fathers Day... Dads!

So I finally finished off my own father's Fathers Day card... so a quick share of the finished garage interior... as well as another ...very different... interior later on for Andrea's Dad...

I kept it simple... just a favourite wished-for car, Jaguar F Type... in a favourite colour (that he would never be allowed!!)... with his personalised registration plate...
But I just know that he will LOVE this card!!

Click here for the original share(s) with the directions...
And Happy Fathers Day wherever you and your family may be...

Images used (for personal use only!) care of a Google Search for Jaguar F Type... and "personalised registration plate" - which came up with many sites that physically produce registration plates and so you can enter the letters and numbers you want and an image is generated... easy!

And before I go... here is Andrea's for her Dad...
A wonderful amalgam of things for boats & gardening along with a crowded bench & lots of tools... this hobby makes being so wonderfully personal with our cards so easy!!! And that always keeps the men folk happy!!

Leffe anyone?

So whilst I was re-making this card... as the Lager card... another thought popped into the head...

As I am rather partial to a Leffe Brune... so this card is designed for me!!

Remember that Mixed Drinks (for the glasses) is on Last Chance.... only a few more days to be able to purchase...
And a personal photo share too... to show the regular Leffe glass shape that was in my head... as this was a shot of my favourite beer (though the more readily available golden variety in this shot) whilst atop some mountain in the French Alps a few years ago... happy memories!
And I skied much better after that break!

Mixed Drinks Bubble Over... The Lager card...

So I was asked for a Lager Beer based card for a late teen... so a quick re-make of this card here... brightened it all up for a younger audience... and made a happy requester...
Bear in mind Mixed Drinks (for the glasses) is very sadly retiring... so is only available while stocks last - or till 31st May latest...
Mixed Drinks Photopolymer Stamp Set
Also bear in mind that Bubble Over does carryover to the new 2018-19 Annual Catalogue... but not with the bundled 10% discount for the stamps and dies that you can get now... but only till 31st May...
Bubble Over Photopolymer Bundle
And an interesting twist for the lager colour... I tried quite a few of the colours and they were all too yellow - or too brown... but Crushed Curry with Sahara Sand overstamped did the trick!

Bubble Over meets Mixed Drinks again...

A lot of this may seem familiar to some of you... as basically everyone visiting wanted to do this card which has been sitting on my display for the last 3 months... so my original card "grew" as I finalised the projects for my Men in May classes

Click here for all the details on the stamped inner panel...
And the extra... just a Thick Whisper White 14.8cm square card blank (US Letter nearest equivalent 5 1/2" square) to sit the panel on...

Now that's better!!!

Thatched Roof Cozy Cottage... behind a Drystone wall...

A little thatched roof Cozy Cottage in a country garden scene for a New Home card ... Cozy Cottage is actually a Hostess stamp set which can be yours at a seriously reduced rate with a qualifying order...

Memento Black stamping throughout... lots of Stampin Blends colouring action... including all that Pool Party sky...

And talking of Stampin Blends... If you would like to collect them over a few months... then do check out my Stampin Blends club... details here... You can collect over 2 or 3 months... but note that the free Sale A Bration items can only be ordered in February and March... ie in the next 7 weeks...

Bridge U Fold card Tutorial here... as it was the perfect card format... (again!) The only difference being that I started with a 3cm high (1 1/4") base/front panel
And seeing as it is Tuesday... a few tips for you...

The drystone wall was elongated by stamping the whole image in the stamp set centrally... and then re-inking and stamping part of the wall to the left... and then to the right... avoiding the gate being repeated!

I coloured in a few stones using the light Smoky Slate and dark Crumb Cake Stampin Blends markers...and then blended over the whole wall (and path) with the light Crumb Cake Blendy... colouring the greenery with the light Old Olive Blendy...
Finishing off with the light Pool Party Blendy above the wall to remove the stark white... I then fussy cut the length of the wall at the top to create my front panel...

The flowers were coloured in the same way... with the whole image background coloured in with light Pool Party for sky at the top and some light Old Olive for the ground... these are stuck onto the central tab... to add dimension and that country garden feel...

And did you spot my oops!! Yes right at the last minute I must have touched my front left sky panel with my Old Olive Blendy... or maybe I had Old Olive ink on my hand!!! Anyways... luckily the greeting covers it pretty well!
Greetings from Beautiful You... Birds from High Tide

When Bubble Over meets Mixed Drinks...

With a bit of Waterfront thrown in for good measure...

A match made in heaven... particularly for those of you with a man who has a taste for Guinness or any other stout beer...
Clean & Simple Early Espresso small square card (10.5cm from A4 card or US 4 1/4" from US Letter)... with a 9.9cm stamping mat (4" US)

Bubble Over bottle stamped in Early Espresso and die cut using the Bottles & Bubbles dies... with Tranquil Tide bottle neck label... Basic Grey bottle label... and finished off with a Silver Foil die cut bottle cap
Mixed Drinks tankard stamped using Memento or Archival Black... Aquapainter watercoloured using Early Espresso & Soft Sky... with a faint touch of Sahara Sand on the froth... and all finished off with Clear Wink of Stella... and then fussy cut...

And all "seated" on a Sahara Sand stamping of the thin line in the Waterfront stamp set... life saver stamp! Stopped everything from floating randomly!
