Tuesday Tip... Lots of Lavender & Lots of Happy Card Kit

Oh my... I can't believe that I forgot to post this tip weeks ago... as it is a really useful one for the ever-so-popular Lots of Happy card kit! 

But you will have to be fairly quick to get the Sale A Bration stamp set, Lots of Lavender I used to make this job easier... as the promotion ends 31st March... and items are on a "while supplies last" basis... so it could go out of stock before then...

So what is different... well I stamped the lavender images in Wisteria Wonder instead of spending 20-30 minutes or so colouring them in... 

The lavender filler stamp in the Lots of Lavender being pretty perfect for stamping the single lavender image... though a bit of partial inking and messing around needed for the double image... but still SO SO SO much quicker than colouring all those little petals...

Here are the 2 ways side by side... watercolor pencil hand colouring on the left... stamped on the right..

And the eagle eyed amongst you may have also noticed another difference... 

Yes I chopped up a stamp again... the greeting this time... as much as I love the overall shape of the Thank You greeting supplied in the Kit... it is just ... well... not something that would ever get used for a card in classes! 

And the parts can always be used together if ever there is a need for "a friend" sentiment...

Back to the Lots of Lavender set... which can be yours for free during Sale A Bration with a £45 order...

And a trio of Lavender Narrow Notecards... as I wanted to try out a few techniques in a little set...

So first up... No Line Stamping for the outline stamp with Baby Wipe ink pad for the filler stamp... with the Old Olive leaves just stamped with the stamps in the set...

So I used Smoky Slate for the No Line Stamping... and Rich Razzleberry, Berry Burst, Wisteria Wonder and a tiny bit of Elegant Eggplant inks on my baby wipe... it looks very dark in the photo... but a lot nicer... and more subtle... in my hand! And I reckon that I could have got 20-30 stampings from my Baby Wipe ink pad...

Next up... Marker direct colouring (Elegant Eggplant and Old Olive) on the outline stamp... with Baby Wipe ink pad again for the filler...

And lastly No Line Stamping for the outline... with Marker Thumping for the filler...

I inked up the filler stamp with a Wisteria Wonder ink pad and then marker thumped with Rich Razzleberry, Berry Burst and Elegant Eggplant... needed quite a lot of thumping mind...

And my favourite...definitely the first... looks most effective and is by far the quickest! Just a shame I couldn't take a decent photo! And it was even my second attempt...

More Wisteria...

I had another idea to share using the Lots of Lavender stamp set... but most of the photos were so dark I thought it better to re-photo tomorrow and share that idea another day...

Lots of Lavender Team Training Swaps

Did I say Lavender? But I personally see lots of Wisteria more...

Amongst a few other things! But more of those on another day...

Anyways... I shared my little observation with the lovely ladies at our Team Training event yesterday... in the form of my swap Narrow Notecard & Envelope... as I reckon that most people have either missed these little beauties of notecards in the Spring Summer catalogue... and those that have spotted them - do not realise how small and cute they are... but oh, so perfectly formed...

So main image from Lots of Lavender stamped in Elegant Eggplant... Lavender filler stamped in Wisteria Wonder... and leaves filled in Old Olive...

All set on the new Narrow Notecards & Envelopes... which are coming in ever so useful...  Wisteria Wonder mat 2 1/4" H x 4 1/4" W and stamping panel 2 1/8" H x 4 1/8" W

Coffee Break papers die cut with the 2 1/2" Layering Circles die - or could be punched with the 2 1/4" circle punch - to quickly decorate the flap of the envelope...
