Miss You Monday!?

And there's more... I had a few people reach out yesterday and thank me for the round up posts over the past couple of days... as it had prompted them to buy something they did not realise was going!!  And/Or to see a really cool card fold with a tutorial they wanted to try out for themselves!

So seeing as this is the very last day you can buy retiring items from the catalogue... I have decided to keep with the theme... these products now only available for 16 hours...

Mediterranean Moments - New Home

Simple little Watercolor Pencil watercoloured Mediterranean Moments card to welcome someone to their new home... they happen to be into scooters so it really is just the perfect image!

But as any good demonstrator (unfortunately) knows... finding New Home wording amongst our current stash is a tad difficult!! So I had to get creative with the wording... so this is what I used!

HAPPY and JUST SAYIN'  from Crazy About You (one of my first "go-to" sets for wording)
NEW from the words New Beginnings in the Happy Celebrations set
And HOME using the lower case letters in Brushwork Alphabet...

And spot the detail... his new house has a grey door so I ended up with the chrome parts of the scooter blending into the background... so I grabbed my non-SU! silver pen ( happens to be a Uniball Signo) and added chrome parts to the scooter (and the grille above the door). Really makes it pop

Can't wait to see his face when this card is handed over...

Beautiful You & Mediterranean Moments

Another Watercolor Pencil masterpiece! Built up from the same Shimmer White sized stamping panel & mat  - and using the Paper Piecing technique for the girl... as explained yesterday...

This Beautiful You girl was stamped... then masked... and then the scene stamped over... all using black Staz On...

And then I had to laugh at myself... as my dislike/inability? of colouring quickly evaporated....

I started off with a wash of grey for the road and sepia for the rest (aka Basic Gray and Early Espresso pencil & water Aqua painted off a plastic sheet again as explained here) And I intended to stop there...

Then I just thought I would add the Old Olive greenery...

Then came the Real Red pencil dot geraniums...

And then I just carried on... bit of sky... pots & lamps... bridges & window frames... drainpipes and fascias... all became more & more defined as I lost myself in the scene... And the moment!!

And here are the two cards together...

Can't wait to show you my next Mediterranean Moment!!! Which I am in the middle of... And I really must finish my Lovely as a Tree series first!!!

Watercolor Pencils #3 - Mediterranean Moments Cafe Scene...

The Watercolor Pencils and Mediterranean Moments are a match made in heaven for me! Along with the Watercolor Paper and the Aquapainters this time...

Can't say I am renowned for my watercolouring skills - but even I can make a half-decent job using these pencils..!!  And more importantly for me... really enjoy it too!!

And I will admit.. I love love love this little scene... but there again I have spent so much of my time on holidays in France over the years... it would be very hard for me to not love this set!

Things to spot here.... terms all made up by me... though there are probably some official watercolouring jargon terms for them too...

(1) Light, Medium and Dark Colouring/Shading... extra light touch for walls (Early Espresso) and pavement (Basic Gray)... medium touch for tablecloth and harder touch for seat cushions (both in Bermuda Bay)

(2) Spot Colouring... spot the geraniums in the planter under the window... just little spots of colour drawn direct with a hard touch of the Real Red pencil over the previously watercoloured (Old Olive) greenery... and no water add to those spots...

(3) Gel Pen Highlighting - impossible to see on the photos... but I added highlights to the chairs, windows and table legs using my (retired but never far away from me!) Signo gel pen... (though I do have a few gel pens left in stock....)

(4) Sale A Bration promotional Designer Tee stamp set greeting used... just the right size and font! (Yours for free with a £45 order until 31st March) Can't believe how much I have used this set... without a T-shirt in sight so far...

Carrying on from yesterday... here are a few more Sneak Peeks for you...

So for today... I thought I would share a few projects made with new stamp sets for which the new Watercolor Pencils I first shared yesterday will prove rather useful...

First up... Beautiful You... which was accompanied with the biggest ooh in the room at the recent Stampin' Up! event.... love these! 3 gorgeous images, 2 artistic squiggles and 8 lovely greetings - suitable for all occasions... and I don't have anything like them!

Second up... Mediterranean Moments... can't wait to get colouring these beautiful images in... all 4 of them...

Thirdly... Day at The Beach... 11 lovely summery images...

And lastly... aaah! So sweet... Moon Baby with its 10 images...

 Followed closely by 15 images in Little Cuties
