Treehouse Adventure 3D Box Frame for 3D Thursday

Something really special to share with you today... and I just know that you are going to love it too...

But I can take NO credit... as this masterpiece has been created by the lovely Kate Cooper in my Stampin Up team of Craft Therapists... didn't she do VERY well...

So back to the project... which uses Treehouse Adventure & the "huge" Make A Difference alphabet stamp set... and sits in a 3D Box Frame to make it all the more special...

All I can say is lucky Will & Becca... and Kate... the Treehouse Adventure stamp set is now definitely on my next order! As it didn't take much to twist my arm on this one... it is a stamp that "has my heart" after all...

Welcome to your New Home

The last of the Impossible (House) card series...

A bit more dressed up... with a roof, windows, door and extra greetings....

Details as per this card here... but windows and doors care of  my favourite At Home dies ..
Talking of the extra "So Happy For You" greeting (from Beautiful You )... no it is not your eyes going funny...

Oops!! Unfortunately... the hand slipped whilst stamping!!! And I have produced enough of these cards to not want to repeat!! So it's a share of another of those "warts and all" cards that always seem to amuse....
And ... and admittance for my loyal & regular blog followers... I might not get to blog daily for a few weeks... I think I just need to take some pressure off me... just for a little while... So panic not... I will be back with a vengeance!!!

Share What You Love Impossible Card daisies in a field...

Another of these cards...

But using the NEW Share What You Love papers... but in a different colourway to the original today!
This pattern is usually on a yellow background... but I quickly sponged with Mint Macaron ink ... and here you have a lot of daisies in the field... or rather in the grass around the house... in this case

But do remember to wipe your sponged paper with tissue paper... to remove the wet ink off those pearly flowers which are resisting the ink... or you (and the recipient) will have inky fingers!
And talking of the Share What You Love papers... remember to contact me here to register your interest or request more details for my Share What You Love paper, card & embellishment kit coming in June...

The Impossible - New Home - Card with TUTORIAL...

This is a card theme we don't get to make often...  and the Welcome Home dies seemed perfect for the job I had in mind... along with the greetings in the co-ordinating Home Life stamps .. available as a bundle with 10% off here too... but only till 31st May...
So I was plotting a simple pop up card or something... and then the latest craze of The Impossible Card caught my eye... and it just had to be done...

The Impossible Card is a card originally designed by Claire and appearing first here on her iheartmaggie site... her inspiration for the card fold was a magic playing card trick (known as Hypercard ) ... and I have to add that this card fold is a truly inspired and very clever twist of the card Claire!!!

Claire then made and shared a video here on the Trimcraft You Tube site/blog... which is short enough for (even) me to watch!! Though blink and you will miss the key moment!! And now there are probably 30 or so videos to choose from... but not a lot in writing...
So seeing as it is Tuesday... a Tuesday Tutorial for you... Note that I have used a Foil Frenzy paper that is different on both sides for the tutorial pictures... makes the trick a bit more obvious!

But before I start... you can also see a Garden Shed version posted previously here...

1.       Cut an A6 card sized panel ie 14.8 x 10.5cm (US Letter 5 ½” x 4 ¼”)

2.       PORTRAIT. Line up at 5.25cm (US 2”)
3.       Score from 4 to 10.8cm (US 1 ½” to 4”)
4.       LANDSCAPE. Line up at 7.4cm (US 2 ¾”)
5.       Cut from score-line (ie 5,25cm or US 2) up to 0
6.       Turn the piece of card 180degrees (so that your cut line is now at the bottom)

7.       LANDSCAPE. Line up at 4cm.(US 1 ½”)
8.       Cut from score-line (ie 5,25cm or US 2) up to 0
9.       LANDSCAPE. Line up at 10.8cm (US 4”)
10.   Cut from score-line (ie 5,25cm or US 2) up to 0
So you end up with this...
11.   With central cut line to bottom/front…hold the top/back left hand cut/sections in your left hand
12.   Flip the right hand “back to front L shape” back on itself on the central fold… so that the top/back narrower section ends up at the front/bottom... and upside down!
13.   Bone Fold centre scoreline at the right hand side (ie above the cut-out/notch section)
14.   Pull left hand side of central scoreline/section up and fold to front/bottom (ie back on itself) & Bone Fold

15.   Cut your “grass” papers to size… 7 x 10cm (x2) (US 2½” x 4” - x 2)
16.   PORTRAIT lined up at 3.5cm. Cut 5.25cm to 0 (US line up at 1 ¼”.Cut 2 ⅛” to 0)
17.   LANDSCAPE (with cut to left hand side) lined up at 5.25cm. Cut 3.5cm to 0. (US line up 2”.Cut 1 ¼” to 0)
18.   Repeat for 2nd piece of paper
And an admittance… the 2 panels should really be cut slightly differently… but I decided that life was too short!! So both of mine are the same…and lined up to best compromise!

19.   Decorate as required. I wanted a clean and simple style… kind of the "less is more" aspect of the hygge style... so just added a wooden die cut house and heart… and a couple of greetings… Job done...

Thatched Roof Cozy Cottage... behind a Drystone wall...

A little thatched roof Cozy Cottage in a country garden scene for a New Home card ... Cozy Cottage is actually a Hostess stamp set which can be yours at a seriously reduced rate with a qualifying order...

Memento Black stamping throughout... lots of Stampin Blends colouring action... including all that Pool Party sky...

And talking of Stampin Blends... If you would like to collect them over a few months... then do check out my Stampin Blends club... details here... You can collect over 2 or 3 months... but note that the free Sale A Bration items can only be ordered in February and March... ie in the next 7 weeks...

Bridge U Fold card Tutorial here... as it was the perfect card format... (again!) The only difference being that I started with a 3cm high (1 1/4") base/front panel
And seeing as it is Tuesday... a few tips for you...

The drystone wall was elongated by stamping the whole image in the stamp set centrally... and then re-inking and stamping part of the wall to the left... and then to the right... avoiding the gate being repeated!

I coloured in a few stones using the light Smoky Slate and dark Crumb Cake Stampin Blends markers...and then blended over the whole wall (and path) with the light Crumb Cake Blendy... colouring the greenery with the light Old Olive Blendy...
Finishing off with the light Pool Party Blendy above the wall to remove the stark white... I then fussy cut the length of the wall at the top to create my front panel...

The flowers were coloured in the same way... with the whole image background coloured in with light Pool Party for sky at the top and some light Old Olive for the ground... these are stuck onto the central tab... to add dimension and that country garden feel...

And did you spot my oops!! Yes right at the last minute I must have touched my front left sky panel with my Old Olive Blendy... or maybe I had Old Olive ink on my hand!!! Anyways... luckily the greeting covers it pretty well!
Greetings from Beautiful You... Birds from High Tide

Mediterranean Moments - New Home

Simple little Watercolor Pencil watercoloured Mediterranean Moments card to welcome someone to their new home... they happen to be into scooters so it really is just the perfect image!

But as any good demonstrator (unfortunately) knows... finding New Home wording amongst our current stash is a tad difficult!! So I had to get creative with the wording... so this is what I used!
HAPPY and JUST SAYIN'  from Crazy About You (one of my first "go-to" sets for wording)
NEW from the words New Beginnings in the Happy Celebrations set
And HOME using the lower case letters in Brushwork Alphabet...

And spot the detail... his new house has a grey door so I ended up with the chrome parts of the scooter blending into the background... so I grabbed my non-SU! silver pen ( happens to be a Uniball Signo) and added chrome parts to the scooter (and the grille above the door). Really makes it pop
Can't wait to see his face when this card is handed over...
