The Simplified Year of Cheer Wreath card

As a few of you have asked me about CASEing the Year of Cheer & Painted Harvest Wreath card I shared here earlier... I thought I should quickly share the simplified version I have made in the meantime...

More foil leaves simply punched from the Champagne Foil mat to save time as less stamping... so I used 9 here... though I could punch 10 from that Champagne Foil mat... and there are 4 Copper Foil leaves and 4 stamped and punched leaves...
I did then add veins to every other with my bone folder (using the Thick Mat)... little thing ... huge difference as they say!  And a tip or two for you... do not rush your veining and start from the leaf tip... otherwise most will go wonky!!
And the card itself... just a Large Square card... so mine is a 14.8cm square card (with 14.3cm Foil mat and a 14cm White panel)  ... as that is the largest you can get out of A4 Thick Whisper White cardstock.... so would have to be a 5 1/2" Square if cut from US Letter stock... (with 5 1/4" Foil mat and 5 1/8" White mat)

Merry Medley Stamped Candle

Take a lovely church candle, tissue paper, a heat gun and the background Merry Medley stamp... and here is what you get...

Finished off with Burlap Ribbon, Rope Trim and a couple of Mini Jingle Bells tied up with Linen Thread...
And the daft story behind this.... I have had these candles for at least 2 years... my ladies have been promised that they were doing stamped candles and have been waiting ages for this project!!! I just never seemed to find the time (20 minutes or so) to actually make one before they were here for a class... such is the life of a demo that LOVES making lots and lots of Christmas stuff!! Well now they are finally candle-fulfilled!

Thoughtful Branches Wreath

Now you know me and a slightly curved leaf stamp... I just can't resist creating a wreath!
Really quick share of a great simple little card today... as to be honest... I just do not feel very well!
But I can't wait to share some of my other makes with you soon.... though my photo session came to an abrupt end... as...  I really do not feel very well!

And one detail to spot... the bow is from the new Burlap Ribbon... split in half to make it narrower (a great tip from our Stampin Up! Country Manager, Paula Gorry) which makes it easy to tie the bow and then you can sculpt the bow and the ends how you wish! Really raggy or tight together... Fabulous...

And please remember that this stamp is only available for August. Loads more inspiration on my Pinterest board shared on that linked post... It is definitely a keeper....!
