Father Christmas meets Lovely as a Tree

A trio of cards for you today using Lovely as a Tree with Father Christmas... all of which caused a real WOW in the flesh for my Christmas in July class... though I don't think you will get the full glitter shine across the room from these photos! Which is what realistically what causes the WOW...

Starting off with a simple... Small Square card (10.5cm or 4 1/8" to be exact or 4 1/4" if I had US Letter Size cardstock!)
And then mounted up onto a Large Dapper Denim Square Card (14cm or 5 1/2") with either glittery white embossed trees or black trees...
Which caused me some amusement as everyone had a very definite favourite between the two... and were almost arguing over each other as to which was the most WOW!
Stamped panel basically all made the same... Top part of frame white embossed for the Emboss Resist Technique. Trees white embossed or stamped in Archival Black. Bottom frame part stamped in Archival Black.

Snow line masked and Dapper Denim sponge brayered over the top. Layered onto a Whisper White mat or card blank... And a sprinkling of Dazzling Diamonds over Fine Tip Glue to finish it off...

So which one do you prefer???
And a time saving tip for you... though not one I actually used on these cards!

Although I am definitely a Wood Mount girl... I specifically bought the Father Christmas stamp set in Clear Mount... that way I can carefully position and mount the 2 parts of the beautiful frame image on the one clear block when using the same colour ink... and then ink up & stamp away in one action! Love this frame!!

  1. Morning Amanda,
I think I prefer the black one...although the white one is nice too...I think I prefer both. LOL!...Ann in Canada

    1. Lol Ann... I have to admit that my preference changes depending on how they catch the light... the glittery tinsel in the white trees versus the glittery lights in the black trees.... but without the glitter it would be the white for me!

  2. Wow Amanda - these are beautiful, can only imagine how awesome they will look in the flesh.
MUst have a go at these, my ladies will luv them!!!
    Permission to case?? Xx

    1. Of course Kate... they really do twinkle!

  3. One on the left. I hadn't noticed the lovely frames in this stamp set, they are beautiful. You are so talented - it's a good job you're nice too!

    1. You have really made me laugh Uma... thanks muchso! And the frames are gorgeous....
