Simple Embossed Waterfront #1

Another Waterfront card from the clean and simple stable... but one of the favourites of the majority of my ladies... quick, simple with a bit of personal artistry and a bit of shine!

Silver embossed trees & land... on Watercolor Paper... with Dapper Denim ink for sky and sea applied with an Aquapainter. Aqua Painter.. set on a Whisper White mat...and then onto a Dapper Denim small square card base...  sizes as per this card here...
And oops... so sorry... not only for my short post today.... but also that I got my days the wrong way round this week!!! As this should have been a Waterfront on Wednesday post yesterday really!! Thanks for the reminder Jill!!

Charming Waterfront Cafe...

Well this reminds me of many a holiday... and many a weekend away!

Be it in Greece, Turkey, France or in the UK Lake District... There is something to be said about sitting in a cafe on the waterfront... good for the soul...
Combining 2 of my favourite stamp sets in the Spring Summer catalogue...Waterfront for the faux watercolour scene of mountains and sea/lake inlet...
Waterfront Photopolymer Stamp Set
And Charming Cafe & Cafe Builder bundle for the aperture, table and chairs and greeting...

Perfect little scene... makes me happy!

Love Island!

Bit of a play whilst I was designing this Waterfront stamp set card shared here... as I had to test out the palm trees as well... so here you go... a simple little scene...
Waterfront Photopolymer Stamp Set
An island in the middle of the sea somewhere... with a sole hut... made for just 2... or maybe Robinson Crusoe...

Simple stamped panel finished off on a Small Square Pop Out Z Fold card (Thanks again Kate!) for which the Tutorial was shared here... though I stuck down the central section on this one so the pop out is minimal!
Spot the details...

(1) shrunken hut ... I just inked the top half to get a shorter hut... (Soft Suede)

(2) shrunken palm trees off to the left... just inked part of the trunks stamp (Soft Suede)

(3) shoreline below the mountain created by just inking up one side of the long thin stamp ( Tranquil Tide)

(4) mountain stamped in Powder Pink at the top then Wisteria Wonder below...

(5) Greeting inked up using Wisteria Wonder ink pad and then the NEVER overinked using a Tranquil Tide marker...

Rest of detail as per the card shared here...
February classes here - or at your home (ie in the mail) - will be designed featuring this wonderful stamp set... so please contact me now to reserve a spot! I can't wait to really get going!

The more impressionist Waterfront Scene...

A bit more "arty" than yesterday's super CAS Waterfront  scene... in a more impressionistic sort of way...

But still simple... even though not so clean...
Card and mats same as yesterday's super CAS share...

And another quick stamping step by step for you ...
(1) Stamped-off Soft Sky "sea squiggle" in all 4 directions to form the water-coloured square/background... plus an extra in the centre for good measure!
(2) Stamped-off Marina Mist "sea squiggle" at about half way down...
(3) Old Olive narrow "island squiggle"
(4) Marina Mist "island squiggle" upside down over top of sea/land horizon
(4) Wisteria Wonder "mountain shape"
(5) Tranquil Tide trees (again no trunks required) x 2 trios... left-hand trio less inked in height than others (so shorter!)
(6) Wisteria Wonder plus Tranquil Tide marker over-inked greeting
(7) Done in minutes! Enjoy...
And now I will admit that this one was initially going in the trash... but luckily I delayed a while... and added the larger greeting from Picture Perfect Birthday (which happened to be still out) as that softened it all...

And then it definitely grew on me... a lot!...  Though...for me... a repeat would have a more stamped off Soft Sky background!
