Greetings From Santa Scene

And not a Santa in sight!!

This one proved to be a very popular Emboss Resist card.... all the images and greeting being from Greetings From Santa... so great to have these in there!
Masked snowline on a piece of Shimmer White card... white heat embossed tree, deer and snowflakes... Night of Navy baby wipe swoosh and baby wipe marbling... Night of Navy trees to left and right... then a dry tissue wipe to remove the ink off the embossed parts.

Finished off with the beautiful greeting in Night of Navy and ...though difficult to see... Silver Metallic Thread wrapped around about 5 times. All stick onto a Whisper White mat and then onto a small square card blank...
And yes for those of you that swapped with me at Quarterly Training... this is slightly different to the swap card... I simplified a couple of parts for bulk production purposes! Will share that one soon....

Happy Home Watercoloured Duo & New Weekly Deals

Think these finish off the Happy Home series for now... another double scene for you...

A couple of cards to show the difference between Whisper White and Shimmery White card for Aqua Painter watercolouring...

The card to the left is on Shimmery White...subtle, smooth and slightly shimmery!
And the one to the right is on Whisper White... looked the same at the production/wet stage... but every brushstroke evident when dried... which gives its own effect... but we all much preferred the smoothness of the Shimmery White...
And interestingly all my ladies last week preferred the Shimmery White over the Watercolor Paper too

And here are this week's Weekly Deals... very happy to see Perfect Pennants on there... a favourite amongst my ladies. My order going in early Friday if anything you want here and you can collect from me....

PS hopefully my posts are now back to their usual coffee time! February was a busy month - and a poorly me for over half of it!!

Bloomin Heart in Silver & Blues - by Anne Williams

A beautiful card to share with you today.... This was sent to me by my very talented fellow teamie and SU! demo, Anne Williams. I love your version Anne... I know that you friend will have loved this for her special birthday card....

Anne used the following card of mine as her inspiration... and stepped it up and made it square! Girl after my own heart!!
And I am very happy to say that Anne did not repeat my deliberate error!!!

Look at my card again if you have not already spotted it.... thanks again for pointing it out Sharon...

We had to laugh... either 50 people have been ever so polite upon looking closely at the card at The Craft Spa and at Jems Quarterly Training... or none of us are very observant!!!

And I do wince/laugh a bit every time I see this on Pinterest....

Birthday Blooms Trio

Whilst I am on the subject of the last Quarterly Team Training...
Here are 3 of the cards Julie had put together for us to make...
A simple little trio to practice our water-colouring skills (or maybe not as in my case!)
Lots of use of our Aqua Panters... Plus a bit of Wink of Stella-ing of course!

The first is a CASE from the Spring Summer catalogue. Watercoloured on Whisper White card... works well...
The second is watercoloured on White Shimmer card... works a treat for watercolouring... Though I have to laugh at my somewhat raggy Pool Party Glitter ribbon though... I think my sample has been somewhat man-handled!
And the third is watercoloured on Watercolor Paper designed for the job.... gorgeous! The flower is embossed using white embossing powder and then watercolourd in...
As always we had a great full day at Quarterly Training... great makes... really useful business tips... fantastic swaps... lots of inspiring projects from many team members on display... lots of catching up...lovely food... all in all... a relaxing day amongst good friends! Old and new...

Want to join us next time... ? Well now is a particularly good time to join - as you get £160 product for your £99 investment... Just contact me for further information - or go here to order your starter kit straightaway...

Have a heart... a Bloomin' Heart...

Oh my word... this heart is so amazing!
I don't reckon you need to do much else with it... though I do have a few plans!
So this is simply... a Pink Glimmer card die-cut heart...
Some Shimmery White die-cut flowers...
Die cut banner and wording from the Bloomin' Love stamp set...
A few pearls...
And a simple white card with a Sahara Sand mat...
But do you know the best bit...

It is designed perfectly for adding 3D foam pads under the solid die-cut flower sections... no other glue required... Simples! Though I did strategically add some extra cut 3D foam pads where I could...

Partial Bendi Fold Card with Fancy Fold Friday Tutorial

A Bendi Fold card was the first card I HAD to make once I had my Sleigh Ride edgelits in my hand...
But the right panel was too short and I thought there would be a problem with the card in the hands of the receiver... The card will arrive flat in the envelope and I have to hope that they spot both slots and manage to assemble it...

Probably definitely not the back slot... as it is difficult to see and difficult to assemble...
So I changed the card to just have the front slot... as I reckon that one will be managed! And from a distance it looks exactly the same as the Full Bendi Fold version...

Also spot the merry Christmas greeting - it is just using the co-ordinating Jingle All The Way stamp set - merry from "merry everything" and Christmas from "home for Christmas".

I just covered the words on the stamp that I didn't want with a post it note, inked up the stamp, removed the post it note and stamped...then repeated with the other stamp...
And the background is Baby Wipe Marbled again...on Shimmer White card here - just using Night of Navy ink this time... very subtle so may not show up in the photo...
And  - seeing as it is Fancy Fold Friday - here are the metric instructions for this Partial Bendi Fold version...

Recipe - I used all Shimmer White card
Back Panel 14.8 x 10.5cm
Front RHS Panel 14.8 x 6.5cm
Front LHS panel 13.5 x 8.5cm
Marbled Background Panel 14.3 x 10cm

1. With Front RHS 6.5cm panel LANDSCAPE - score at 1cm from both sides
2. Turn the panel over and mark 1 and 2.5cm down from the top on the left score line
3. Cut above and below to form a tab

4. With Front LHS 8.5cm LANDSCAPE - score at 1cm from one side
5. With score to Left, line up panel LANDSCAPE at 5cm on Top Bar
6. Cut from 5.5 to 7.5cm

7. Die cut houses on Front LHS 8.5cm panel
8. Die cut trees on Front RHS 6.5cm panel
9. Trim down score line as necessary
10. Bone fold scorelines
11. Ink up & stamp merry Christmas on Front RHS Trees panel
12. Adhere Front LHS Houses panel (to LHS) and Front RHS Trees panel (to RHS) to the front face of the larger Back Panel using the 1cm sections/tabs

13. Emboss & Baby Wipe Marble smaller 14.3 x 10cm background panel
14. Adhere background panel to front face of Back Panel ( duly covering up those 1 cm tabs)

15. Make sure your small tab fits in the slot. Trim if necessary...
