Tuesday Twofer - Sentimental Rose

Another couple of alternative cards using the Sentimental Rose stamps and inks provided in the Basic Kit...

With extra decoration on the inside too...

Same colourway - Gray Granite, Costal Cabana, Old Olive and Whisper White - just in different orientations...

Using the Gray Granite with the flower and leaf stamps to create the background makes for a stunning effect.... start with the flower and then remember to fill in the gaps with the leaf stamp... I forgot until afterwards!!!

Sentimental Rose alternative project #2

Just a quick share for you to day... Showing you another use for your lovely Sentimental Rose kit stamps...

The stamps that keep giving! Long after the kit has been used...

The son and heir has been home for a little while so my focus went elsewhere!

Even simpler for Saturday...

Just couldn't resist... making the simpler even simpler... Let's call it Reverse Crafting!

Actually I do like that as a concept! Reverse Crafting! What do you think?

And this is definitely a candidate for #simplestamping too...

Friday Five - For the Birds...

Love these three sweet and simple cards as they are such great examples of how you can create your own #SimpleStamping cards with just a few supplies and simple steps.

All three cards use just the one stamp set—the Garden Birdhouses Stamp Set—and yet each card uses a different technique to create a unique style.

Each card features only two ink pads and one or two colours of cardstock.

The Birthday Wishes card is the simplest with just one colour of cardstock and a couple of images, all stamped on a single layer.

The Hello card uses more images, layers, and the Everyday Label Punch. Spot that the punch shape is customised to fit the sentiment a little better—all it took was a couple of snips with our trusty Paper Snips

And lastly, the third card has some additional colour added in, which is easy to do with a set of Watercolor Pencils.

Want to see more using this stamp set... which is one I absolutely adore!! Though I guess a lot of you knew that already.... as I have shared a thing or two on birdhouses over the years!

Well here you go... so now there are 5 (in case you were wondering!)

Merry Monday - Super CAS card featuring Pine Tree punch

A few squeezes of the Pine Tree punch along a strip of Brightly Gleaming paper... and there you have it...

Probably the simplest card I have ever made...

But so effective in the flesh...

Finished off with a Perfectly Plaid greeting...

Thursday Thanks featuring... Beautiful Friendship

Yes another Beautiful Friendship  and Ornate Thanks card for you.... as I had to try a completely different colour scheme for a yellow loving friend...

Which reminds me of my first colour range when I became a papercrafter nearly 20 years ago!! Which was yellows, greens and cream... bet no-one guessed that one!!

It is funny how colours affect us... yellow used to my favourite colour... but I wouldn't have thanked you for a yellow car!

And I didn't even wear a lot of yellow... though I did have an amazing dress nicknamed the "Gin and Tonic dress"... which yes you guessed it ... had a very large lemon on the front... though I didn't realise that the pips were rather large holes... as I wondered why all the blokes were staring!! Gosh that takes me back about 35 years!!

But I digress... back to today's card... Balmy Blue hydrangeas, Bumblebee roses, Mossy Meadow sprays and Mossy Meadow and Pear Pizzazz leaves... rest of details as per this card shared earlier in the week...

And favourite colour ranges today... mmm.. Black or Navy with white or cream... with a pop of a bright (or neutral!) colour...Though I don't get to use much black and white in my cardmaking anymore... not many of my class ladies that like it!

Oh and Pretty Peacock of course! Stand out favourite for now! With a splash of many a blue or green to wash it all down... This is probably the range you would best guess at!

Tuesday Trio - Beautiful Friendship

Love love love this Beautiful Friendship trio...

The first being pretty much a complete CASE of this card by the very talented Austrian demonstrator,  Michaela Windhager at Papier Vampir...

Whose card actually inspired me enough to finally buy the stamp set... as I was indeed very late to the "Beautiful Friendship lovers party!"  Always a liker... but this is the card that finally got to me!

I just changed the colour combination... to Balmy Blue, Highland Heather, Rich Razzleberry, Mossy Meadow and Pear Pizzazz...

And I dropped the polka dot ribbon... I tried it... but (and it must just be me!) either I don't get the wrap right... or the angle right... but either way I make such a feature look rubbish! Though I still appreciate it on others' cards!

And please ignore my boo boo!! ie the Mossy Meadow spray to the bottom right hand side!

And then I carried on with slightly different colour combinations ... Flirty Flamingo hydrangeas in this second one... and less or more stamping...

Oh and again I added the extra layered up parts onto the front... which made an even bigger difference on these cards...

And off to make some more... as this is officially still my favourite Beautiful Friendship layout! Thank you Michaela... still really loving your card!

Also used Stitched Rectangles dies and Ornate Thanks stamps...

Simple On Sunday - Beautiful Friendship #2

As I admitted on Friday... I liked that layout so much that I had to quickly CASE myself and create another for another friend...

So here is Jill's thank you card... all in her favourite pinks and purples...

I do love it when you can tailor make cards so easily!

Though I do have to laugh at myself as I was so intent on getting my post out that day... that I have since found the 2 stamped and handcut small Flirty Flamingo roses here that I "forgot" to pop onto the card! Sorry Jill!!

And for anyone that can't quite work out the flower and leaf placement with the banner in the way!! Here you go... the "under layout"...

Beautiful Friendship Friday

Quick share of a Beautiful Friendship & Ornate Thanks card to say thank you to a friend... and to to submit for our team colour challenge this month... which is...

Liked it so much that I then had to make another for another friend!! But more of that on another day...

Here was Plan A for this card...

But then I decided a quick stamp, fussy cut and add would make a big difference... and so it did...

Can't recommend this Beautiful Friendship stamp set enough!! Even though I was SO late to the party....

Simple for Saturday & Loyal Leaves round up....

Finishing off the simple Loyal Leaves series... along with greetings from the brilliant Ornate Thanks set...

Showcasing the larger leaf that needs more space!  So a standard A6 card instead of the usual little squares... that's better than the diagonal leaf for the little square card series... see bottom centre in the group shot...
And here is the 7 card round up pic... Click here and here for more details on the 2 other trios...
And oh! I have just remembered... Whilst I was "working hard using my friend's Loyal Leaves set..."... I happened to stamp a whole sheet of A4 too... so I hope that I get a few minutes to work on my own One Sheet Wonder (aka OSW)... whilst still working hard producing christmas cards too!
