Don't fancy a Small Square Pop Up Z Fold card to display your dressed up bears... well here is an alternative for you...
Pop them in a Shadow Box Frame instead... card or home decor...you decide...
Now the eagle eyed amongst you will have realised that I am re-purposing previous projects here....

And that the following two don't work so well!!!
But sorry... time was not on my side to re-make these 2 box frames.... but you can have a laugh...!

Want a go at this shadowbox frame yourself... Here are the tutorials... Metric here ... Imperial(inches) here

And a groupshot...

The Bear, the In Colours and the Wardrobe - and a Blog Hop!!

Can't believe how quickly it has come round to the Monthly Jems Team blog hop! And this month we are showcasing the new In Colours...
So I have already introduced you to the new In Colours quite a bit by sharing the projects I made (so secretly!) back in April for On Stage, Telford... All of these new colours are fabulous... even the ones I first didn't like!!... and each and every one has a place in the SU colour range ... so you do need every one... they are truly a great collection to have...

But I could not put my brand new favourite furry friend, Baby Bear down!!!  I having been having a lot of fun.... when you have a daft idea ... some days you just have to run with it...

Nor could I stop making my new favourite Square Pop Up Z Fold card format.... which I re-sized for today... Nor could I not use the Designer Series papers which only about 80 demos in the world have as of today!!! Monday being another matter.... 10s of 1000s will have them....

So without further ado let me introduce you to my new In Colour furry friends.... who have been playing dress up!
First we have Dapper Bear in Denim... all dressed up in his dapper bow tie and waistcoat (care of the Owl Punch)
Then we have the very Flirty Baby in Flamingo ... she is such a tease!! With a beautiful bow in her hair and her lovely baby bib (also care of the Owl Punch) Spot the decorated papers too....
Now it is time for our Emerald hugging Envy Bear... well I am envious of an emerald that big!!! (from Playful Pals)
Next up is Sweet Sugarplum Bear... adorned with her pretty bow and sweet candy necklace (do you remember those!!!? My baby sitter always used to bring is those as kids.... ) Again spot the coloured flowers on the paper too....
And last but not least... though he got lost on the way as he obviously he can't see!!!! Yes it is is Peekaboo Bear in Peach... with his shiny John Lennon glasses (care of Fine Tip glue & Playful Pals).... and he also has a shiny nose (though that won't be repeated! I have cheated by using my marker to colour it in afterwards )... Funnily enough Peeky was the first one made... and the originator of my idea for dressing up the bears....
I am SO loving Baby Bear - he is definitely bringing out the inner child in me.... (and yes  - in case you hadn't guessed it - my favourite childhood book used to be The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe!!! Hence the title of this post)

Go here for Bear Stamping Tips...
And here is the Tutorial for these Small Square Pop Up Z-Fold cards...

Sorry I have kept you so long..... but now it is time for you to move on to my lovely team mates Karyn if you are going forwards...or to Sarah if you are in reverse mode... Just press on the relevant button... more new In Colour gorgeousness awaits you...

New 2016-18 In Color Emerald Envy Projects

Another group shot... featuring Emerald Envy today... plus the individual photos with links to more photos and details in the text line below...

Emerald Kite Gift Card Holder Box (with Tutorial)
Bloomin Emerald Wedding Anniversary Card
Front Door Centre Step Easel Card (with card tutorial linked from the post)
Work of Art Tractor (the card with the most saves and comments on Stampin Connection... proving I am not the only daft one around...)
And lastly the E is for Emerald Envy Box Frame

Just realised I didn't explain how I created the Emerald when I posted this... it is just the back of the Swirly Bird kite stamps ( yes the solid part you normally put on the clear block)... and then stuck on upside down to create an emerald....

Baby Boy Card in Dapper Denim

Apologies for such a quick post today...but I went out to vote yesterday evening... and ended up at a neighbour's house with 30-40 others... completely and utterly unplanned... but a really lovely evening!! Thank goodness for living in a village....
But before I start...  I have a new feature coming tomorrow... one with lots of inspiration for you.... so don't forget to check back this time tomorrow!!!

So back to the new 2016-18 In Color Dapper Denim... showcasing first through 4th stamping without re-inking...great colour for this technique!

The great sailing boat image (and the round blobs) from the new and coming Swirly Bird stamp set (now can't wait for my co-ordinating dies to turn up!) Finished off with the Layered Letters alphabet for the greeting...
Spot the colouring in of the designer series paper - Soft Sky and Sahara Sand markers direct onto the paper... as being honest I was getting fed up of the old monochrome thing for my On Stage Display samples at this stage!! But this is something I will repeat... as little thing... big difference!!!! Makes that paper stack go so much further....

And a few random sequins.... yes I made a blodge!!! So it did have to be done....

The green green door of home.....

Last but one of my On Stage Stampers Showcase samples... featuring the new 2016-18 In Color Emerald Envy ...with its co-ordinating ruched ribbon... and the new and coming Swirly Bird stamp set...
Now cough... and an admittance... I didn't actually like this card!! There I have said it! Too much bright green going on for my taste... but I was determined to do a green green door (of home) project... as well as some topiary using the Swirly Bird swirly flower stamp...

But as there are some other great features on the card ... and as also out of time... the card made it through to the display! Hope that the parts made up for the whole...!!
So other things to point out...
  • great flagstones for the base using a Sahara Sand inked Brick Wall embossing folder and a piece of Sahara Sand...
  • I know that many of us will be lamenting the loss of the Wide Oval Punch used with our favourite Decorative Label... so I used a Project Life Cards & Labels die cut instead - which looks great too...
  • imagine it with a white door!! Much more subtle...
  • this is a Centre Step Easel Card - link and tutorial for a white door version here

I also old favourites Hearth & Home dies, Brick Wall embossing folder, Circle of Spring stamps and co-ordinating Wonderful Wreath dies and the flowerpot from the Perfect Pines dies...all of which are happily carrying over...

Peekaboo Peach Rose Wonder

Coming towards the end of my long series of On Stage Showcase Stampers display projects featuring the new 2016-18 In Colors... so back to Peekaboo Peach today...

A true CAS extra-large card with lots of "white space" (actually Very Vanilla...) Not quite as per the brief (ie using the featured new colour for the main part of the project... plus a bit of neutral) as just a small amount of Peekaboo Peach! Plus Pear Pizzazz too...
Just 2 die cut Rose Wonder roses water-coloured using ink and the Aqua Painter.
And the greeting finished off with a pop of gold foil... I just hand-cut around the stamped greeting frame to achieve this effect...
