Double Pop Up Concertina House Card #3

Wow... just where have the last 2 weeks gone! High time I started sharing more of my Christmas makes before Christmas is over!! But I will have to be brief...

Couldn't resist making another of these before I put everything away... made especially for a neighbour... who's house has newly painted white walls and grey windows with topiary balls at the front door!
Perfect!

Brick Wall embossed At Home with You

Simple card to share today... but one not to miss if you like a door .... the Tranquil Tide green green door of home!

Showcasing the At Home With You door, 2 of the pots, welcome mat and the lantern... simply set onto a Brick Wall embossed panel (and yes I did ink up the embossing folder with Sahara Sand ink before embossing... best way to get good grout!)
Now I wonder which new product I opened second from my new big box!!!? Just after the Love Today planner......
And for those of you waiting for the At Home With You class-in-the-mail details... and anyone else that wishes to register interest by clicking here... I will be back to you shortly... my cold has pretty much forced me to to bed for 2 days!! Yuk! But I hope to be back on it tomorrow.... I just have one last play (with that 2nd item opened from my new stash box!) before I can finalise the cards for the class and get back to you!

Thoughtful Branches Hydrangea

Another make from Team Training... isn't it gorgeous....

This card was CASED from the incredibly talented Dena Rekow... and her original card can be found here along with a how to video tutorial
But the detail I liked the best!

The Brick Wall ... which is a Crumb Cake embossed card panel sponged with Craft Whisper White to make it all look shabby chic... gorgeous.... that technique will be used again....

Look at the detail on this shot... I think you can even see the Wink of Stealla...

The green green door of home.....

Last but one of my On Stage Stampers Showcase samples... featuring the new 2016-18 In Color Emerald Envy ...with its co-ordinating ruched ribbon... and the new and coming Swirly Bird stamp set...
Now cough... and an admittance... I didn't actually like this card!! There I have said it! Too much bright green going on for my taste... but I was determined to do a green green door (of home) project... as well as some topiary using the Swirly Bird swirly flower stamp...

But as there are some other great features on the card ... and as also out of time... the card made it through to the display! Hope that the parts made up for the whole...!!
So other things to point out...
  • great flagstones for the base using a Sahara Sand inked Brick Wall embossing folder and a piece of Sahara Sand...
  • I know that many of us will be lamenting the loss of the Wide Oval Punch used with our favourite Decorative Label... so I used a Project Life Cards & Labels die cut instead - which looks great too...
  • imagine it with a white door!! Much more subtle...
  • this is a Centre Step Easel Card - link and tutorial for a white door version here

I also old favourites Hearth & Home dies, Brick Wall embossing folder, Circle of Spring stamps and co-ordinating Wonderful Wreath dies and the flowerpot from the Perfect Pines dies...all of which are happily carrying over...

Happy Spring Scenes....

Now I have been hearing a few grumbles..... and I don't like to hear those...so...
Here is a simple card in a series to show that the Happy Scenes stamp set isn't just for Christmas, Winter and Autumn makes...
I have made cards for all seasons.... and today is the turn of  celebrating Spring....
With a  lovely Springtime Cherry Blossom tree...
Care of the flat side of the snowflakes/blobs stamp inked up in Pink Pirouette ink & stamped
Then turn the stamp over , ink up the snowflakes/blobs in Rose Red & stamp over... maybe fill a few blobs in with your marker pen if you wish....
Hey...can we call this Sheltering Tree in miniature.. perfect size for my windows!!

Watercolor Wings Tunnel Fold Card

Remember my variant from our Quarterly training projects (with my un-intentional change of colours to Mint Macaron & Lost Lagoon!)....
Well it became this...
Just the smaller butterfly from the Watercolor Wings added and a change to the wording on the banner as I didn't have the Thank You wording to use in class  ...and as I knew a few ladies were after birthday cards....(and the eagle-eyed amongst you will have spotted that it was in Island Indigo - so not perfectly co-ordinating!!)
Just finished off with the addition of a tunnel fold card insert on the inside to add a window to the world! This insert is just scored at the centre and 2" from each side - with the oval aperture cut on the centre line....
Stamped my ferns... and then some careful lining up of my Sahara Sand inked embossing folder on the insert - and there you have it - another great brick wall effect... The card front is inked on the embossed side of the folder...and the card inside on the debossed side...

And I will leave you with a quick tip if you wished to create the same effect within that window... stamp the Watercolor Wash background stamp & the ferns etc on a plain card panel...then score! No line in the middle to do a cover up on!!!! I think you know why I know this.....!!

Oh and a word to the wise for future weeks to come.... the reduced price Weekly Deals were incredibly popular this week... 6 items selling out within 24 hours... Still 5 left though..... and many of the NEW Clearance Rack items too

And a hint for tomorrow.... a tutorial for Fancy Fold Friday!!

And a poser for you....

Which new card over the past month do you think has had the most blog hits!?

It started off with very few page views.... and no comments... and I was surprised - and sad!!
I thought it was a great card type but... sniff!! I thought no-one liked it or was interested... and so I did not write up the tutorial...

And then suddenly the blog hits began to increase... and this week they have rocketed.... and so now I have to apologise for not publishing the tutorial sooner.....! Back on it!!
