Shining Brightly Bridge Fold Card with Tutorial

Another simple but stunning paper-and-card optimising fun fold card... as this sizing is all the better as you can make 3 cards from one piece of A4...!

But before I start... check out the newly released ONLINE EXCLUSIVES HERE... in particular the stunning Meandering Meadows suite... and the fabulous Feathered Flight stamp set (if you like ducks!)

S ... back to the card... the dimensions of this card were originally sized to make best use of 6x6" wide paper... hence why quite a few other cards shared will be pointing to this tutorial!  Such as this scenic one I made last year...

Though... the paper-optimising element wasn't key for this actual card... but the width of the gap/back was just perfect for the Christmas Classics die cut label...

The alternative navy blue version was shared here last week...

Recipe

A4 Cherry Cobbler 7¼“ x 10.5cm *
Paper (Front Centre) 2½ "x 10cm
Paper (Front Sides) 1” x 10cm (x2) **
A4 Thin Vanilla (Back) 2½"x  10cm (for Greeting panel)

* To get 3 card blanks from 1 piece of A4...
Place A4 Card LANDSCAPE... cut at 7¼” wide. Then turn 90degrees so PORTRAIT and cut in half at 10.5cm.
Then pick up leftover piece. Place PORTRAIT & cut down to 10.5cm. Then turn 90degrees so LANDSCAPE and cut down to 7¼”

** If you want paper on the Inside Side panels... they want be 3/4" wide for each side (so
3/4" x 10cm (x2)...   AKA if cutting all from one piece of 6x6" paper... cut the paper panels 10 cm High x 1", 3/4", 2 1/2", 3/4" and 1"

(D) Gold Foil 4” Square

Cherry Cobbler 9.5cm x 2.4cm

(St) Very Vanilla 9.9cm x 1¼”

Bundle – Christmas Classics

Paper – Shining Brightly

Ink - Cherry Cobbler

Instructions

1.     Cherry Cobbler panel LANDSCAPE

2.     Score at 1¼”, 2¼“, 5” and 6”

3.     Bone Fold Mt, V ,V , Mt (where Mt=Mountain & V=Valley)

4.     Adhere papers

5.     Ink up, stamp & die cut as necessary

6.     Adhere greeting panel to Cherry Cobbler panel & trim the 4 corners by hand

7.     Adhere all parts – ensuring that the card folds flat to go in an envelope… Tip- Fold the sides over to the RHS, adhere LHS of die cut frame to left [think about where glue can go!], then open and fold sides over to left and then stick RHS of die cut panel to right…

Christmas Classics Shining Brightly

Another month... and another apology for not sharing projects... until today!

But just a quick share today... a Bridge Fold card using the stunning Shining Brightly papers and the Christmas Classic bundle...  CLICK HERE for the Tutorial ... as this is just such a great fun fold card for bulk christmas card making... particularly as it maximises your card & paper usage...

I have to come clean ... and admit that although I'm still designing and creating projects... and taking the photos to use on a blog post... I then find it very difficult and time consuming to see and find the photos when I need them... and so I have been defeated...

You may remember that I had a new PC set up at the beginning of the year... and thought that would make things easier and quicker... well that changed a few unexpected things... and I have struggled since... though today I have just remembered  a short term work round...

I've also had a few extra things on for the last few months... most great! a holiday in Tuscany, Italy in September... and another in the Lake District during October... and then the ultimate holiday present after our time in the Lakes.... Yup...covid! Though I was generally ok with that... and its now gone! Phew...

And before I leave... don't forget that today is the last day to get a starter kit with an extra 35% product- or 35% off - plus a free Stampin'Up! event... Just click HERE for more details...

Friday Five Panel Card - Sailing Home & New Horizons...

A simple Five Panel card today ... also known as a Bridge Fold without the Bridge... a card design which first came about totally by accident one day!! Click HERE for a quick tutorial...
A perfect little scenic match... New Horizons papers meets Sailing Home stamps... the latter sadly now being sold out and discontinued... though you can still get the Smooth Sailing dies with £6 discount...

Which leads me to a funny story! I have spent many a happy night fussy cutting these yachts on both card and acetate... as well as lighthouses and anchors... Yup... guess who forgot she had some dies to do the work instead!!! And cough... so sorry class ladies!! Oh well... the set is definitely a keeper for me... so I will remember in future!

And hopefully the next 2 photos will show how the papers were cut...

This version being specifically sized to suit 6" wide papers... and bear in mind that I die cut and stuck the 2 sets of mountains across first... and then chopped the 5 panels using a guillotine...

Fun Fold Friday - For The Guys Bridge Fold Trio

Finished off some alternatives for the samples made as I "tweaked along"... so one became three....

But first apologies as I have still not "turned off the Feedburner blog notification feed"... I will as soon as I find out what to do! Or they may turn it off first at this rate!!

But please ensure you subscribe to the follow.it feed if you still wish to see my blog posts.... Add button/form down the right hand side of this blog if there isn't an obvious button within the emails... Thank You...

Click HERE to see the original and for more information...

But basically the Thank You one has wider panels and front stuck on to create the scene... which would have meant some trimming in class... so I decided to change that...

The Happy Birthday one has narrower panels and front... so there is more gapping (vanilla space!)

So I decided on the in between for the final version... ie the Happy Anniversary one shared here

Friday Five Panel Fun Fold Card

Another alternative card using scraps of the For The Guys card kit... Click HERE for a quick Tutorial...

Searched the internet for a name and other creations for this simple little fold... to no avail... much to my surprise...

So I will simply call this what it is... a Five Panel card...

Though I did have a few more names... but  I will keep one of those for a special series one day!!

And I have to admit that this came about due to a mistake making my Bridge Fold card...

Especially as we all preferred this fold... so you will no doubt be seeing a few more from time to time... along with a tutorial as I actually tweaked the final measurements for class to make things neater... but I forgot to re-take new photos!

And I wonder if you can guess what the "initiating mistake" was!!?

Note that I am sharing 2 versions for you today... for those that think that may be seeing things! One with and then one without the Sailing Home yacht...

Fun Fold Friday - Welcoming Window Bridge Fold Card

So as I was typing up the tutorials for the Welcoming Window class... I realised that I could make a few things easier to do on the Bridge Fold card... and so needed to take some step by step photos again...

So I made another card up... and added a bit of variety to my lovely flowers.... much more Spring like... just care of a few Marker Pens direct onto those lovely buds... Gorgeous!

The Tutorial PDF is now available... ending up as a whopping 19 pages worth... as lots of step by step photos... covering these 10 different cards and the different decorative elements...

Just click here to order via a Paypal button (though note that you don't actually need a Paypal account to use this).

Available as  a PDF Tutorial only purchase - or for free with a Class at Home Kit in the UK if you order the Welcoming Window bundle through me... Close date 23rd March.

I would recommend ordering the Welcoming Window Bundle on line with direct shipment to you to make sure you have the bundle asap... And remember to add the current Host Code P6SNXX3F so that I can then send off the Class At Home Kit to you in approx 5 days.

And here the old and new together... click here to go to the details for the original Bridge Fold card...

Fancy Fold Friday - Bridge Fold Card - Welcoming Windows #7

Ideas abound for Fun & Fancy Fold cards with the Welcoming Windows bundle...
So I have produced a series of fancy fold cards to share over the next week or so... starting off today with a Bridge Fold card...
And now I can go and use something else for a little while!

And the very observant of you may notice that the image for my Class Kit has changed as 3 of the fancy fold cards are now included in the 8 cards in the kit...

Don't forget that you can make these "with me" too... whether its a class in the mail (UK only) or the Tutorials in pdf format... click here for more information...

Though I should point out (for you fancy fold card haters!) that you can make another 3 or 4 more of the simple card designs (instead of the 3 fancy fold designs) with the kit if you prefer to do so instead... I like to give you all a bit of flexibility...

Friday Field of Flowers....

Thought I'd try a Bridge U Fold card with the Field of Flowers as my final moonlit scene trio card...

Didn't quite work out quite as my eyes intended... but effective none the less... but I'll redo for my Class in The Mail using the daylight colours! Hence the delay - sorry!
Also used Lovely You (leaves from the top), Winter Woods (spindly trees at back)  & My Meadow (right hand tree, birds & clouds)
And so here is the complete moonlit trio...
