Fancy Frost Large Square Box & Round Up...

And whilst I am talking of my favourite Fancy Frost papers... I think it is time for a round up... here are some other projects that I have made using the Fancy Frost papers... just click on the photo to go to the original post...

Santa's Sleigh in the Sky...

Special card made for my All Day events this week... 8 reindeer flying into the sky pulling Santa's Sleigh...

Now I have to admit that the reindeer pulling a sleigh on a Double Z Fold card was not my original idea... I was completely inspired when I saw this stunning card shared by Kathy Wayson back in August. So I immediately put the Santa's Sleigh stamps and dies on my next order...

And I was definitely not alone in adoring this card... as many other Stampin' Up! demonstrators have been inspired to make their own version... so there are many beautiful Santa's Sleigh Double Z Fold cards out there if you Google it.... or search on Pinterest...

But I had a few other ideas of my own!

I knew I had to make the reindeer fly up into the air! So it had to be a Large Square Double Z Fold Card and my Staircase Double Z Fold card method ending up coming into its own for a second time! See points 4-11 for the acetate part - you need a 6.2cm A4 piece of acetate scored at 14.8 & 7.4cm  and note that you need to line up at 2.5cm to the LHS in point 6 as the fold stands the other way round - or 3" x 11" for US measurements - scored at 2 3/4" & 5 1/2" - lined up at 1" to the LHS) 

I had to have the full compliment of 8... as in "On Dasher, on Dancer, on Prancer and Vixen, On Comet, on Cupid, on Donner and Blitzen!" Quickly achieved by turning the Double Z Fold card in the opposite direction to the usual... Though I have now thought of a way to add Rudolph at the front too... Maybe another day!

And I was definitely using my favourite Fancy Frost papers to create a snowy little scene as the background...

And the trees had to be stamped on the Presents & Pinecones Mint Macaron paper as I had stocked up on that already!

So there you have it... a card that has been causing a real WOW in the flesh... thank you Kathy Wayson for inspiring us all....

Fancy Frost & Star of Light

Just found another Star of Light super CAS card I made for the Silver & Island Indigo series... again using my favourite Fancy Frost 12x12 papers to add that subtle touch of pure elegance... 

Look closely to see the beautiful embossing... with no machine work required!

Fancy Frost & Star of Light Z Fold Card

Another card using the gorgeous Fancy Frost embossed speciality papers...

The subtle embossed stars pattern being perfect for this card... and for any one that cannot see it... it is on the back square of the card!

And this is just the second outing of the Star of Light bundle... stunning dies and gorgeous stamps... lots of both! If you like your stars... then this is the one for you.... 

But be warned you had better stock up on Silver Glimmer Paper and Silver Foil too... Teamed with Island Indigo in my Stars collection.... oh and Soft Sky and Smoky Slate too...

And be warned... yes I did say second outing! Which is code for lots more Star cards in my collection to share!! 

Hang your Stockings on the Fireplace CAS Card

Have to admit that this is one of my favourite - and one of the most popular cards we have made this year.... so far...

Simple in style and execution... got to love that! So quick too...

And the back story...

Colour combination care of Heidi who suggested Soft Sky, Smoky Slate and Crumb Cake for the colours for her private family cardmaking class with me this month... Thank you Heidi...right up my street!

Fireplace decoration care of a gorgeous Team Quarterly Training swap made by the very lovely Tracy Hill.

Die cut Hearth & Home Crumb Cake window, central thin panes snipped out by hand.  Die cut Crumb Cake mantelpiece too.

Die cut Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper NOEL and bow. And 3 stamped and die-cut small stockings. Smoky Slate stamped greeting. All from Hang Your Stockings which is fast becoming my most used set this year....

Wallpaper simply a piece of Fancy Frost Speciality paper. FABULOUS! And not easily spotted in the catalogue or on display.... all the sheets are white and embossed...what is not to love!

All laid up on a 5 1/2" Square Crumb Cake card blank... the perfect size... And finished off with a gemstone...

Definitely a few of these being made for my friends' christmas card stash this year... Cool Yule!
