Wednesday Wideo - Above Clouds

ABOVE THE CLOUDS PHOTOPOLYMER STAMP SET
Another very popular new product in the Stampin' Up! range... Above Clouds
And could also be a vase - or a perfume bottle... or even a punch bag if you need that theme for a man's card...

And spot the basket and triangle punched parts in the Hot Air Balloon Punch too... I am thinking small plant pot and teeny tiny banners (with or without the stamp set!) or triangular confetti...
With a theme that always lifts one's soul... and a great theme for men's, kids and travel related projects... as well as inspirational words...

And especially for a scrapbook page if (like me) you have had the excitement of a hot air balloon flight... or been to a Balloon Festival...
So bringing you Above Clouds....

Click on the arrow below for the video and project ideas... including how to set up your stamps to easily stamp & punch the 3 parts of the balloon at once...
And as a Bonus Tip for you today... Like the circular greeting around the balloon ona stitched circle..?

Easy enough to do... just shape/bend your long thin stamp (eg Hi Friend in this case) as you place onto your clear block... using a die cut circle to aid your eye for the shape...

Then ink up and stamp... and then repeat as many times as you need...

Though you may wish to do a dry run first if using a different greeting... so as to work out how to best place - and how many times to stamp -  to go round the whole circle...

Original Cut & Score card Tutorial here (which was used for this card) ... Simpler Die Cut & Score version Tutorial here!!! (which is how I will make it in the future!!)
This one is definitely worth a try!!

Lift Me Up & Away - Happy Birthday to me...

And the last of my birthday card shares... I did get quite a few more!...but most were not handmade... and the other handmade ones were retired SU! or not SU!! Shock horror...

And so now we have the lovely Uma Kathirgamanathan's card... using Lift Me Up (available in wood and clear mount) and the co-ordinating Up & Away dies... which I haven't used in a while ... so I thought I should share this lovely card with you....

Click here for Uma's blog... she has been busy making and sharing projects with the new colour combinations provided by Stampin' Up! when the new in-colors were launched back in June...or just click here for the details on this card...
Love the colour combination Uma has used... Soft Sky, Sahara Sand, Fresh Fig & Basic Black... work really well together... and the large balloon at the front really pops off the card in the flesh...

And 2 special facts about the lovely Uma...

(1) She shares her birthday with me
(2) I still can't pronounce her surname!!

Sale A Bration Carried Away Papers

A few projects to share with you using the Sale A  Bration Carried Away papers. Yours for free with an order of £45 or more... These have been proving very popular amongst my ladies!

The first card is one we made at our Team Training at the beginning of the month... almost dream like! Balloons over an English patchwork field network!
And the following creations are ones that Stampin Up! and the Design Team made earlier (said in true Blue Peter fashion!)
These papers co-ordinate fantastically with the new Lift Me Up Stamps and Up & Away dies - bundled in both Wood Mount and Clear Mount for you...
And guess what... buy these in the Wood Mount (or buy in Clear Mount - with a Tombow too!) and you get the Carried Away for Papers for free as well...

And... in order to keep all these balloons together... here are some more projects made earlier by the Stampin' Up team with the Lift Me Up stamps & Up & Away dies...

And there is even a video for you here too... click on the pic to play!
Lovely little set of products... well worth a crafty play!

Balloon Celebrations Trio no. 1 - Balloons & Stars

Here is the first of a trio of CAS cards using Balloon Celebration we made in classes this week...

The colour combination of Bermuda Bay, Perfect Plum and Pool Party was chosen as they are my ladies' favourite colours... so it would have been rude not to...
And I had promised them a quick Aqua Painter & Watercolor Wash technique try out...
So this is how those 2 things combined... along with punched balloons stamped (stars and dandelion centre/dot circles) and daubed in Whisper White...
Rather like how this one turned out!

Beautiful Balloons Ride Celebration by Jane

We had a special moment in classes this week... We were all poised to make this card...when Jane said can I add a Beetle!? Well of course Jane...

Isn't it fabulous!! I just had to share...

I love it Jane! And I am absolutely positive that your friend about to celebrate her 40th Birthday will too....
And I hope you have a bit of your Wink of Stella pen left!!!

Balloon Numbers Duo - Before and After!

Hopefully the last of my quick shares! This card will seem familiar... but my class was supposed to be based on the Number of Years stamps & Large Numbers Framelits... rather than Balloon Celebration & duo punch...
So why not numbers as balloons...works for me!
And before and after? Well I reckoned a quick bit of Faux Stitching with the thin end of my marker pen around the Balloon numbers and circle aperture just finished everything off...
