Feels Like Frost Acetate Tent Card #2

Oh it had to be done!

Back to my original idea... with the piece of Feels Like Frost paper that I wish I could just buy a whole 48 sheet pack of...
Just changed up the Mossy Meadow to Pretty Peacock for the stamping of this version... yum!

Though interestingly virtually everyone - who saw the card in the flesh - thought that the previous version had been stamped in gold ( rather than  Mossy Meadow)

Oh and an In the Woods die cut snow curve at the top instead of the Seasonal Layers scallop top
Simply perfect!

More details on the card recipe etc here...

Feels Like Frost Acetate Tent Card for Fun & Fancy Fold Friday

Knew I had to create an Acetate Tent card the minute I saw the beautiful wintery scene papers in the Feels Like Frost paper pack...
Just don't know why it took me so long to get around to actually making it!!
And here is the original purple snowflake version Jill!!! Which I had to quickly remove as it appears that I just can't do with purple snowflakes... even though they co-ordinated beautifully....
And I did initially mean to use the other scenic piece of paper in the pack... but I had already used it!

Ooh... something else to share that I thought I had already!! Tomorrow then....

Lots of lovely Stampin Up ! products used in the making of this card... including Dashing Deer, Winter Woods and Greatest Part of Christmas stamps with Frosted Frames, Detailed Deer, Seasonal Layers and In The Woods dies... and Feels Like Frost papers (now out of stock in Europe!)

Merry Monday - Farmhouse Christmas Trio... Lit Box Frame, Bridge U Fold Card & Bakers Box Light

I have had a lot of Tutorial orders over the past few days for the Trio of projects I made last year using Farmhouse Christmas along with Winter WoodsRooted in Nature and Merry Christmas To You... (all of which have stamps and co-ordinating dies but only available separately now)
So I have realised that most of the products used are still available OR replaceable... so I thought I should share the information again in the one place... with pointers for creating something very similar this year...
Just click on the Add to Cart button below to order and pay for the Tutorial bundle. This covers the Box Frame, Bakers Box and Bridge U Fold card  - and is a 15 page pdf document with lots of photos. Payment and currency conversions handled by Paypal. No Paypal account needed as Paypal or major credit cards can be accepted.
Edited 11am UK time to add: the "Paypal button glitch" has now been sorted! Thank you for your patience...
But firstly, Farmhouse Christmas is sadly no longer available (unless you are lucky enough to have it on the Clearance Rack in your territory! Even if you only have the dies for those fences!)
But an alternative tree or a deer would look nice instead.... or we have a few houses around... albeit mostly smaller... such as From Our Home to Yours...
Or even Grandmas House...
And you could even make a simple "Hygge" style one of your own! And there are lots of stamp sets with bare branch trees around... Natures

Here's the card example with a couple of Dashing Deer deer instead of a house... yup that would work nicely!
Secondly, the Twinkle Twinkle papers are not around... but there is a fabulous copper foiled stars on Night of Navy sheet in the Brightly Gleaming pack... so that's a really easy replacement...
Incidentally  (as I write this post) Brightly Gleaming has just come back into stock in the UK and so is orderable for us again (in Europe) though I have just checked and it is already on back order... but you can still order it now and it will arrive separately when it is back in stock...

And the Bakers Boxes are still available...
Or you could easily produce a 12x12 background sheet using inks as I did for the Bridge U Fold Card

The wood Merry & Noel embellishments are not around either... but easily replaced with about 5 die-cut Merry Christmas "merry"s - all stacked on top of each other to add the depth...
And last but not least... those die cut fences... I'd just go with an extra snow bank...but...

A picket type fence could be made using the Classic Label Punch and scraps of Whisper White card... shorten the punched shape down to about 1" with the point left to form the top of the picket fence...and stick onto thin strips of white card... with about 1/8"-3/16" gap in between. They won't be as intricate as the pictured fences... but they will do the job...
These projects were incredibly popular last year in classes... and I am definitely glad this is a set I wrote up the Tutorials for... though that was a "labour of love" last year I can tell you!!!

And I am now really looking forward to getting these all out again this Christmas... though I am quite tempted to make the alternative I have just described!!

It's almost time! Happy Christmas Eve... with Dashing Deer

So a quick share of some more Christmas cards which are 5 variants on a theme... based upon this card here...

And these will be arriving with Spring Summer Catalogues and Sale A Bration leaflets  at some of your houses... sometime in the post soon... automatically for those of you ordering over £40 of Stampin' Up! product over the past year... but...
For anyone else that is in the market for Stampin' Up! products... yes I would love to be your Demonstrator.... so please do not hesitate to contact me for your own copies in the mail...

But back to the card... and the first 3 variants are up first...

First up... a switch to Smoky Slate and Balmy Blue colours... for a brighter feel...
Then a switch from a stamped background panel to a Twinkle Twinkle starry panel... as I had a few of these panels left over from all my Farmhouse Christmas box frames!!
And then a version with the paper flipped to the Granite Gray starry background on the other side... and Sahara Sand deer and greetings...
Though I do have to admit to the greeting not making as much sense with the stars as it does the snowflakes!!!! Just didn't think about that at the time...

And spot that I did move the snow banks when I re-made these cards to this design ... much better positioning of the deer's tummy!
So which one do you prefer? Snow... Blue... or Grey?
But wait ... there's more... I then needed to make a few more...
So I simplified the design another step... so another 2 variants... though blink and you may miss the difference!
Both without a matted panel... just the paper background...

Dashing Deer in the Winter Woods Snowglobe for 3D Thursday

So it appears that a lot of my class ladies love a snowglobe!

So one of these had to be made... 2 versions... one with stamped & die cut trees... the other just with die cut Whisper White trees...
Globe from Hobbycraft (though I can't now find online so maybe they had sold out this year!)... but everything is from Stampin' Up! as usual!

5 Winter Woods die cut trees. Optionally stamped in Mossy Meadow... Die cut...  then scored down the middle... and finally all stuck together on one tree half to form a 3D ( well 5D actually!) tree... finished off by lavishly covered with Tombow glue and glitter...

Tall Dashing Deer deer stuck to one side of the tree using Mini Dimensionals...
And then the short deer stuck to the back on the next side of the tree... virtually a perfect cover up! Couldn't have planned it better myself..
I designed a Tab Stand to stick into the tree whilst assembling... so that the tree could then be stuck onto a 2 1/4" punched circle...which was then stuck with tape to the Globe base (as I discovered that neither Tear & Tape or Cool Melt glue would do the trick on their own!)

And then we covered the top of the disc with Tombow glue and covered it with artificial snow...

And the base covered with 2 Farmhouse Christmas die-cut fences (plus one section from a 3rd fence to get the sizing right)... Simples! Oh and do note that the Farmhouse dies are well reduced ( by 20%) in the Year End Close Out Sale
And another group of very happy ladies! Next year we will attempt one with water!

Dashing Deer in the Winter Woods...

Another little scene built using my favourite Winter Woods and Dashing Deer stamp sets... with some Rooted in Nature trees thrown in for good measure...

Click here for the card tutorial... though I added 2 hand-torn and glittered pieces of 8cm wide x 2.5cm high Whisper White to the back and central section too...

Set on A Twinkle Twinkle Paper background.... no sponging required!
Finished off with a 1 1/2" circle punched moon... and lots of Dazzling Diamonds Stampin Glitter....

Dashing Deer and All is Glistening...

A perfect blend of 2 stamp sets in my humble opinion!!

First up the beautiful Dashing Deer (in Gray Granite)...
Second up the new (but limited time availability) set on the block, Snow is Glistening for that perfect snowflake line (in Pool Party) and stunning greetings (in Gray Granite)

Set on a couple of hand torn snow banks,,,torn edge sponged in Pool Party and Dazzling Diamonds Stampin Glitter -ed all over!!
Just one thing I would change next time,,, my 2nd bank needs to be lower down the card! So you can see the deer's tummy over the snow line... So annoyed that I momentarily lost my focus!!

See here for all the details on Snow is Glistening and the co-ordinating Snowflake Showcase products - available in November only while supplies last!
And remember to add the Host Code when ordering for a free gift from me in the post during December...

Merry Monday Dashing Deer & Winter Woods Bridge U Fold card

Thought it was about time I created a simple Fancy Fold Card to go with my set of sponged Night of Navy Dashing Deer and Winter Woods clean & simple cards...

So the old faithful Bridge U Fold card (for which the Tutorial is shared here) was the perfect format... creating a simple little 3D scene in moments...
See how I created the background scene here... though I won't add the snowflakes as on today's version next time... as they weren't necessary when I finished off with the "spindly trees"...which look even more stunning when adorned with lots of sparkly Dazzling Diamonds glitter....

See more details on the other cards here and here...oh and here...
