Christmas Gleaming Ornaments #2 - Tutorial and The Table Light Decoration

So whilst I was making my Christmas Gleaming ornament in the coppers to co-ordinate with my own tree...  click here to see that one...

I realised that embossing on foil was a dodgy process... Firstly as it blisters if you don't heat and move quickly enough... and secondly as the glue doesn't dry so quickly... so it makes the assembly of those little baubles much more difficult than it needs to be!!!
So everyone moved onto Real Red and Very Vanilla in my classes... to stunning results... and they all co-ordinated better with their trees too...

So I had to make a few of my own... as I had had a few other ideas for the use of my ornament ... such as the simple table decoration complete with battery operated tealight you can see here...
And that has given me the chance to provide a photo tutorial too...

Inkup, stamp and punch 15 large and 15 small baubles... plus a 2 1/2" circle and die cut the Stitched Stars...
Score each bauble down the centre and bone fold...and stick three together...

Place a large Stampin Dimensional (3D foam pad) in the centre of the punched circle...

Place and adhere the 5 large trios equally around the circle... just touching the 3D foam pad in the centre
Use your die cut star to eyeball where your smaller baubles need to go...

Place and adhere the 5 smaller bauble trios...
 Pop your star on top...
Pop your tea-light on top... You could probably work out a way to stick the tealight onto the star and still be able to operate the switch... but this way works fine too!
Slightly different if you are producing an ornament... or fancy tag! As I have stacked up about 3-4 3D foam pads on top of each other.. and then stuck the star down onto the first 3D pad...
Then the thread gets added... with another plain punched large bauble and punched circle to cover up the back...
And a Metallic Element on the centre to finish...

Spirited Snowmen Bakers Box Light for 3D Thursday

Yes... I know... I said I was putting them (Spirited Snowmen) away!
But before I did.. I had another thought... and then I just couldn't resist combining this Bakers Box Light with this card...
Love the end result...

And for those of you that have already bought the Farmhouse Christmas Trio of Tutorial(s)... here is  a bonus fourth project for you! I just replaced the house with the Snowmen...
And added hand torn, sponged and glittered 11cm (4 3/8" )wide x about 2 cm(3/4") and 3cm (1 1/4") pieces of Whisper White card...

Shorter glued to the front of the light & tab...
And higher across the back from tree to tree (roughly) - so kind of diagonally... you want yours to go down to the floor on the base! Not a bit raised like mine (as I had a momentary lapse of concentration as I stuck things!!!) And (with hindsight!) I also wish I had put this behind the tree to the right hand side ( though I would have had to cut out a notch then for the tree box!)!!
All finished off with a 1 1/4" punched circle  - dazzled up with Wink of Stella - and Hearts Come Home stamped Santa on his sleigh!

Farmhouse Christmas Bakers Box Light for 3D Thursday

Couldn't resist one of these Bakers Box decor lights for my All Day Christmas Class... very simple in concept... with a battery powered candlelight behind the removable house... but trickiness came upon assembly... as...

(1) electric candlelight needed specific positioning so you could reach the switch to turn it on and off
(2) the house needed a lift so you could see it above the bottom/side of the Bakers box aperture
(3) the tree to the right hand side also needed a tab to hold it upright in position...
House and trees from Farmhouse Christmas.... and also used Twinkle Twinkle papers again for background... and Rooted in Nature for fir trees...

Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint  (applied with Finger Sponge Dauber) to make the Farmhouse Christmas "noel" Embellishment all silvery and shimmery...

Wednesday WOW... Farmhouse Christmas Box Frame Light Decor

And this did indeed WOW...

And I do have to admit to this... maybe... being my most favourite project I have created ever... it certainly made me very happy when I had finished it... and turned on the lights... And it will be coming out every Christmas from now on...
Box Frame from Aldi when they were doing a special the other week... but any other brand would work! External 25cm (nearly 10"). Internal 21.5cm (8 1/2") Though do note that the Aldi frames have the glass at the back... so it had to be removed totally for this project... whereas other makes have the glass at the front... so I could have left it in...

Lights from Poundland... 10 bright white light wire string with AA battery box version used here... though a coin box version would have been easier... but funnily enough the work round was quite good, tidy and invisible in the end!
Twinkle Twinkle papers used for the night sky as just so perfect for the job!! I would really love a whole 12 sheet pack of this pattern!!! Though quite a lot of the other patterns in this pack actually do work for Christmas too...

Again lots of  use of the stamps and dies in Farmhouse ChristmasMerry Christmas to All ,Winter Woods and Rooted in Nature... with a lot of Stampin Blends action for colouring...
And my favourite detail... spot the merry to the top left... this starts off life as a flat grey embellishment... which was great... but a bit of Sponge Dauber and Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint action later... and you end up with a lovely silvery and shimmery embellishment instead! Little detail... Big effect!

Though it may be difficult to see how silvery... and how well it shimmers in the photo!! So you may just have to trust me ...and try it!
And yes this project is available to create in my workshops throughout November & December... just book in now to avoid disappointment!!! Which is code for I only have a certain number of the box frames left in stock... though I can always get more!! Half Day (2 1/2 hour) for £20... or free with a £65 Stampin' Up! order
