Sweet & Sassy meets Picture Perfect Party...

All on a Pop Out Swing card...

As we have been having a run on made up plain white Pop Out Swing cards as I demonstrate step by step in my classes - which means another blank one ready to go at the end of each class!
Have to admit that this is my favourite pattern in the Picture Perfect Party pack of papers...so me!!

And I couldn't resist just popping on a heart whilst the Sweet & Sassy dies were out... though I couldn't face any more red....
And my next Pop out Swing card will be decorated with papers all over... got them all ready to go for this weeks' class...
And then I will be back with the updated Tutorial for you... just not enough hours in the day this week...

Picture Perfect Party candles

Pick a piece of Picture Perfect Party candle paper... and look at the project samples as shown on page 4 in the Spring Summer (Occasions) catalogue (as image below)
Cut the paper to a size not quite intended to CASE said sample!!! Oops!

So add a couple of mats in Lemon Lime Twist and Bermuda Bay...

Add a small piece of 1/8" Bermuda Bay Sale A Bration ribbon to replace the Fringed Ribbon in the sample (which is unfortunately not available)... but this 1/8" ribbon can be yours for free with a £45 order as it is a Sale Bration promotional item...
And here you have it... a bright and cheerful simple birthday card to get in the post in a flash...
And here are the other fabulous Picture Perfect Party projects made by the Stampin Up concept team...

Picture Perfect Birthday Class Favourite....

I think a new phase has entered a couple of my card classes... as we go small!!

So this simple dinky little 3" Square card to pop in one of the carryover 3" Square Envelopes... was one of the Picture Perfect Party class favourites this week... and this was the other one out of interest...
And I had to laugh as these are both just stamped... and before Christmas I had promised them faithfully that I would use more papers as per their request.... lol! Like that turnabout myself!!

And I also laughed at the fact that these were stated to be the favourites... but (as usual) it was the 2 simple but Fancy Fold ones that had their attention (as they flicked them back and forth proudly) at class close-up...

Picture Perfect Party Pop Out Swing Card for Fancy Fold Friday

Wow... that's a tongue twister! Think I may have to come up with a new name in class!!

So this card tutorial has proven very popular for the last 6 months in the 6" form... so thought I should remake a 5 1/2" square one using A4 (or US Letter size) card... and show you where that tutorial is...
Though I have had to make the central square cut out differently this time... as sadly those larger Square Framelits are no longer available.... so I also took the opportunity to make the border slightly wider....
So here is how I cut out that central square (which I did after I stuck the paper onto the card)... the rest of the details are as per the original tutorials...

Using the trimmer- go in 1”/2.5 cm from each side – aka line up on the Top Bar at 1”/2.5cm (or 4 1/2"/11.5cm as relevant as you turn it round!) on the Top Bar and cut from 1" to 4 1/2" (2.5 to 11.5cm) … on all 4 sides...
Click here for the 5 1/2" square A4 (US Letter) tutorial..
Click here for the larger 6" version tutorial... [note cuts for central square would be at and from 1" to 5" (2.5cm to 12.5cm) on this one]

Jems Blog Hop to celebrate lots of new Spring Summer & Sale A Bration products!!

Hello and welcome to The Craft Spa in the UK... to 2018... and to the Jems Blog Hop to welcome the new Spring Summer Catalogue and Sale A Bration!

And for those of you that visited me yesterday... no it is not Groundhog Day... just my double Blog Hop for the first weekend in the month!
So ... staying with one of my favourite suites in the new Spring Summer (aka Occasions) catalogue... Picture Perfect Party...
Picture Perfect Party
This suite is light & bright with photographic images & co-ordinating photopolymer stamps & Stampin Spots to get the party going... and keep it going... definitely perfect for birthday makes... and for making you feel happy whilst you are making them!

But 2 very different cards for you today... with some extra peeks of some non Picture Perfect Party Suite products!

First up... a card for a special birthday event... I couldn't resist cutting out the 1 & 2 balloons on the one piece of paper... and instead of doing the more obvious 12... I went for a sparkly 21st birthday celebration instead...
Couple of embossing folders used here... the Picture Perfect Party Suite Simple Stripes for the large mat... and the blink and you will miss it, Scattered Sequins from the Sweet Soiree Suite. Easy to miss as I have then covered the embossed sequins with the tiny hexagonal Gold Glitter Flakes from the Painted With Love Suite...

And a tip for you as these tiny flakes were really easy to apply! Little dot of Tombow on the blunt end of my pokey tool (aka Paper Piercing Tool)... followed by a teeny tiny dot on the embossed sequins... Pick up a flake on the blunt end of the pokey tool and place onto embossed sequin ... and voila! So easy I put a flake on nearly every embossed sequin!
Mounted onto Gold Foil and Berry Burst cardstock... And finished off with glittery Gold Trim for the string ... also from the Painted With Love Suite...
Second up... a simple DL sized card... with proof that the photographic images on the paper are really life-like and clear!! As I don't think you will spot why I made this card!!

Well the central hat does not have a pom pom in the papers... so here is a perfect use of the Mini Gift Bows for you... giving a very 3D pom pom to finish it off... honest! Maybe you can spot it on the next photo...
Greeting from the fabulous Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set in Bermuda Bay, paper and stamped white card mounted onto Lemon Lime Twist...and then onto my Whisper White DL card blank... and Gold 1/8" Ribbon to finish off as it is about the same width as the frill on the hat.
If you like what you see... and want to see more of this Suite... please pop back back a day's post for the other Blog Hop featuring more projects using the Picture Perfect Birthday suite... as once I started I just couldn't stop! But do remember to hop round this Blog Hop first!

Global Stampin Friends Blog Hop welcoming Sale-a-bration and the Spring-Summer/Occasions Catalogue

Hello and welcome to The Craft Spa in the UK... to 2018... and to our Blog Hop to welcome the new Spring Summer Catalogue and Sale A Bration!

I have picked one of my favourite suites in the new Spring Summer (aka Occasions) catalogue to feature today... Picture Perfect Party... and decided to start with just one piece of the 6x6 Designer Paper stack as a base image... and make a trio of cards for you...
Picture Perfect Party
This suite is light & bright with photographic images & co-ordinating photopolymer stampsStampin Spots to get the party going... and keep it going... definitely perfect for birthday makes... and for making you feel happy whilst you are making them!

So one piece of 6x6 paper (from the stack of 48 pieces) cut into 3 parts... two 3" Square and one 3"x 6"...

First up a Large Square Double Z Joy Fold card... for which you will find my earlier Tutorial here... and that admittedly needed a couple of other pieces of paper from the paper stack to join my base piece!
And I was particularly happy to realise I could just add a gift card to the central section so this card now doubles as a Gift Card Holder too!! Simples! Definitely a go-to card for the rest of the year in these parts! And I love that the Debenhams Gift Card within is so Lemon Lime Twist!!!

Finished off with co-ordinating Berry Burst Silver Edge ribbon... which is perfect but actually from the Sweet Soiree Suite...
Second up... a Split Trio Panel on a standard A6 Bermuda Bay card...

The 3" x 6" piece of paper being cut down to 11.9cm  high... and then trimmed into 1" (2.5cm) wide pieces...  Mounted onto a 8.1 x 12.2cm piece of Whisper White...and then in turn onto a 8.6 x 12.7cm Lemon Lime Twist panel
Spot the blower with the greeting... 6" length of 3/4" wide scrap paper curled at one end and a 3/4" Square snipped piece of Lemon Lime Twist card at the other... which was needs must!

As the Picture Perfect Fringed Crepe ribbon shown in the catalogue is sadly not going to be available... but hey my scissors can do a good job instead...
And last up... a simple Pool Party Small Square card (10.5cm/4 1/8") using the last 3" Square piece... stamped in Archival Black... which I prefer as it is cleaner looking and clearer to see!
Simply mounted onto a Basic Black 3 1/4" mat... and finished off with the 3 of the Tutti Frutti Adhesive Backed Sequins which are a (colour) match in heaven... and a real stash must have in my opinion...

If you like what you see... and want to see more... please pop back here tomorrow for my part in another Blog Hop featuring more projects using the Picture Perfect Birthday suite... as once I started I just couldn't stop!

And if you are in the UK and want to see and touch your own papers, ribbons and embellishments from the Spring Summer catalogue without spending a fortune... then click here for details of my Product Shares and/or Paper Swatch books... current round closes this Tuesday, 9th Jan... You could make a heck of a lot of this card trio from the Shares!!

Classic style for the men in our life... with a co-ordinating punch too...
Tutti Frutti
Tutti-Frutti Classic Stampin’ Spots include a four-pack of ink spots (Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lime Twist, Real Red, Soft Suede), and are an easy and inexpensive way to get four colours of ink.

Stamp images are sized larger than the punch sizes so the stamped fruits are easy to punch—no need to worry about perfect alignment.
Thank you Stampin Up! for producing these wonderful boards so that we can take in the catalogue at a glance when we are at the On Stage events... I for one can take these in so much better than the catalogue pages....

And I do also have to admit that we demos don't look at these silently!! Not at all!! More like... how many oohs and aahs ...and (very) loud squeals... can you hear in a room at one time... priceless!!
