Lets drink coffee... in a Charming Cafe...

I wanted to just make and send a card to a very good friend who has moved away...

We used to spend a lot of time catching up over an unplanned cup of coffee here (or a glass of wine depending on the time of the day) and I really miss that time with her!

So Charming Cafe and Balloon Celebration to the rescue... and a simple little card to say it all... will make a nice change from our usual texting service!

And a card when spotted .... now selected by some of my ladies for April classes...

And the details for the rest of you... as sadly you can't come to make it in class!

A small square simple (aka simplest!) easel card... 10.5cm x 21cm cardstock, scored in half LANDSCAPE at 10.5cm and in half again at 5.25cm (or with US Letter cardstock... 4 1/4" x 8 1/2" piece, scored at 4 1/4" & 2 1/8") Centre line valley folded, quarter line mountain/peak folded...

With an Old Olive 7cm (2 3/4") Square mat and a 10cm (4") square Delightful Daisy paper panel on the base...

A largest and smallest die cut Stitched Shapes square... stamped as required... and then some craft knife action to remove the window inside the frame!! Scary... not done that for a very long time...

And a couple more stampings of the window & canopy scene...

One in Memento Black on Whisper White card to hand cut the Stampin Blends Bermuda Bay & Old Olive coloured canopy...

One in Staz On Black on Window Sheet to colour with Dark Pool Party Stampin Blends and pop behind my hand cut aperture...

Plus a Memento Black stamping of the chairs and table on Whisper White for more Stampin Blends colouring in Bermuda Bay, Old Olive, Smoky Slate lights and dark Pink Pirouette

And the rest is just assembly and sticking... everything stuck with Stampin Dimensionals to add to the 3D effect... apart from the Window, Old Olive mat and the paper panel...

Carols of Christmas Group Shot and Round Up

Double die cut trees duo... Silver Glimmer over Tranquil Tide for a shadow...

And a Smoky Slate stamped and die cut deer... cut the right way round this time...

Note that the Tranquil Tide tree on the front is stamped again for texture with the Background Bits stamp and it is popped onto a Silver Glimmer tree so it has a snow line...

And a quick but simple tip for you.... but first I have to say... how did I live without these Mini Stampin Dimensionals!!  So stamp your trio of baubles (in Smoky Slate here)... then stick the mini dimensional onto the flat bauble... and then stick your die cut baubles on top.... saves lots of time and agro!

Die cut moon and stars with a Silver Glimmer piece behind at the top...

Die cut trees duo... finished off by stamping with the small rectangular stamp from Background Bits in Tranquil Tide to add texture and definition (you may need to click on the photo to see that...)

And a glimmer deer... cut the wrong way round!!! (ie cut through on the white side rather than the glitter side) A happy accident...

Delightful Daisy Delight Double Z Joy Fold Happy Birthday Card

Time for another Large Square Double Z Joy Fold card using the gorgeous Delightful Daisy papers... Tranquil Tide taking centre-stage this time... I do SO love this new colour...

Dressed up with a simple white-embossed and punched Daisy Delight daisy... colouring care of Soft Sky & Tranquil Tide marker pens... with a Daffodil Delight stamped flower centre for a pop of colour... (Note that the Daisy Delight bundle and punch are un-orderable at present - stocks expected back  in the European Stampin Up! warehouse at the beginning of July. Stamp set still available to order)

And a die cut Happy Birthday...which I think may just become my most used die of all time... finished off with a bit of Tranquil Tide sponging for an ombre effect...

Plus a greeting from the co-ordinating Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set

Delightful Daisy Double Z Joy Fold card

A special card for a very special lady... who inspires me all the time and that I am proud to call my friend!

For those of you that just want the card tutorial... click here...

So a card for a fellow Stampin' Up demonstrator, a fellow team mate in our Julies Jems team... the Midlands branch... and also called Julie... Julie Wade of Create Handmade Happiness....

So a couple of weeks ago... Julie and her large heart had an idea... an amazing idea... and an idea that had most of us in the Jems Stampin' Up! team stop in our tracks... and go and make something very worthwhile... something that would hopefully make a little difference to last Thursday for a lot of people...

As the Stampin' Up! Statement of the Heart says "in this we make a difference" and I hope that we in our way did

Pop over to Julie Wade's blog here to learn more... but between us we made 946 cards to say "thank you for all that you do" and posted them off to Manchester... to the 8 hospitals involved... the Police, Fire & Ambulance Services and the staff at the Manchester Arena. 

This was my parcel of 40 cards being sent off... which also had my local Post Office tears as I explained what we were doing...

Then I decided that one more Thank You card needed to be made and sent... so here you have it... a special card for a very special lady.... along with its twin that my ladies will be making in this month's classes! Once a demo... always a demo huh!!

And Julie... a laugh for you! I made a mistake... I couldn't fit your daisy on bottom left as intended... I would have covered up part of the message... oops!

And .... I have to point out the words that I used inside in Julie's card (though I did later admit that I never thought I would use this sentiment in the Thankful Thoughts stamp set) ...each and everyone of those words were what needed to be said to the lady that not only had the original idea... but rallied round finding the relevant contact points and addresses...  and got the whole Team organised... thank you again Julie! (are you crying again yet !!!)
