Monday mess up(s)!

So when I posted this Field of Flowers card on Friday... I didn't own up to the full story...

As that card was the first in a series of boo boos that produced this card! Which sadly ended up destined for the bin!!

So Friday's card was a rookie error... I unintentionally left the aperture mask on whilst I created the sponged grassy meadow! So I then took the mask off... and sponged over the whole area as intended... but of course the circular element still shone through!! Boo Boo no. 1...
But then I thought... I could add some "out of the frame" interest as is my way! So out came the large square card (14cm/5 1/2" Square).. and using the stamped panel as a guide... I stamped the silhouette image off to the right and to the left... but my lining up was... rubbish!! Boo Boo no. 2...

So ... never to be defeated.... I overstamped the image more...  above on the one side and below on the other... so adding depth and covering up my multi level boo boo! Yup... I can get away with that! And perfect for a birthday card for a friend and customer that I needed to get in the post 5 minutes later...

And then it happened... Boo Boo no. 3... I dropped the ink pad on the card! Muchso expletives I can assure you! So my friend got a card from my stash instead...
And this card hit the bin... but I am sure you can get the idea off what it should have looked like...

And this is the inside... a multi layered stamping of the leafy image... so as to make my cover up of Boo Boo no 2 seem more intended!

Friday Field of Flowers...

Another Friday... and another Field of Flowers card for you...

Back with more Field of Flowers cards this weekend... along with the details of the Field of Flowers Class in the Mail... but sorry... must dash today...
And how opportune it is that the 2 Stamp sets I have been using most recently start with T and F... Todays Tiles for Tuesdays and Thursdays and Field of Flowers for Fridays! Couldn't have planned that better for the last few weeks posts!

Thursday Today's Tiles & Tips #6

These Todays Tiles cards are a real WOW in the flesh... all shimmery and glimmery as only a bit of heat embossing can do...
First up... gold embossed background... detail overstamped with Night of Navy...
And yes... I did stamp the the detail over the wrong way round to the bottom!!! But I didn't realise until just now... and the stamps have gone to their rightful owner... so I can't quickly make another! So here you have it... warts and all.... and all that!

Second up... Night of Navy background... detail over embossed in Gold...
Spot the glimmer on this card...
I quickly embossed this panel which meant that the Navy ink was still a bit wet... so I ended up with a lovely gold pearlescent sheen on navy... couldn't have planned that better if I tried...  though the perfectionists of you out there probably won't like the effect!
Finished off with a greeting on a Stitched Shapes square
And spot the difference on the panel sizes on the next photo of the cards...
The gold embossed background on the right is stamped and set on a 10.5cm (4 1/8") panel... so it is the same size as the card blank...

Whereas as the navy background (to the left) is stamped on a 10.5cm (4 1/8") panel... which is then trimmed down to 10.1cm and mounted on a 10.5cm (4 1/8") card blank. I find this easier to get things to line up better... (though I could have set up my Stamparatus to do this for me with hindsight!)
Thank You greeting from So Sentimental... Sympathy from Peaceful Moments... two of my favourite greetings sets...

Wednesday Lovely Wreath...

Wherever there is a leaf spray... there is most definitely a wreath! For you Jill!!

But before I start... click on the HOME tab or the top Craft Spa banner if the links says the blog post does not exist!
Time to explain... So yesterday's post was very neglected as there was a glitch with the title/link from the email notification... I used a new version of Blogger.. and something went wrong! Don't know why... don't know how... and I hope that it doesn't happen again today... or I will have to have a chat with Blogger!

And so back to today's card... Scroll down or click here for yesterday's lovely ombre card...
This one is care of  Lovely You... a very useful little stamp set... coupled with its very versatile Lovely Label Pick A Punch punch...
Wreath stamped around a 3" circle... which I drew (around a pot I have that happens to be the perfect size... though I could easily have die cut a circle for the task instead...) using a Frixion pen... as then I could just blast with the heat gun and all the markings are gone!

More details and video on this lovely stamp set and punch here

Friday Field of Flowers....

Thought I'd try a Bridge U Fold card with the Field of Flowers as my final moonlit scene trio card...

Didn't quite work out quite as my eyes intended... but effective none the less... but I'll redo for my Class in The Mail using the daylight colours! Hence the delay - sorry!
Also used Lovely You (leaves from the top), Winter Woods (spindly trees at back)  & My Meadow (right hand tree, birds & clouds)
And so here is the complete moonlit trio...
