Saturday Six & another swap...

Can't tell you how much I love the daisy type flower in particular... 

Nor can I tell you how many similar style stamps I have from my pre-Stampin' Up! days... as I have always had such a thing about daisies... In fact left to my own devices my garden would probably only have daisy flowers in it!

Also love all the stitched & scalloped rectangular dies and scallop edge die in this set...

And finishing off with 4 more lovely projects for inspiration... 

2000... and counting....

WOW!  I have just published over 2000 blog posts!! (2003 even)...  In just less than 10 years... with (almost) daily post for the last 5 years! Cripes!

Who knew then that that is what was going to happen! (Try saying that fast!!!) And I still love those Gift Card Holders I made back then... although iPods etc have come on a bit since...

But a very quick share for you today... a Craft Spa mix of Clean & Simple meets Fun Fold... aka Super Simples!

And to celebrate that amazing number of posts... I have a challenge for my long term followers... or indeed anyone...

Tuesday Tips - more Punched Daisies!

Told you I had gone a bit mad with the wonderful Daisy Lane and Daisy Punches... but thought I should share these punched variants before I more onto other products...

Amazing how you can make so many different flowers from the one punch (or 2 if you count the different sizes!) Just scroll back (a week or two)if you want to check out some more variants...

This time the white flowers are created by punching out a daisy... and then inserting each petal into the tip of the same punch and punching to nip out the tip... And then repeat...lots of times!

Note that it is much easier to do one punched daisy part at a time - and then assemble -  rather than assemble your daisy and then punch!

A Large Daisy... with a 1/2" stamped & punched centre (as described here)

A Medium Daisy... this next shot having the wonderful Perennial Essence Floral Centre to "best" finish off my daisy!

And you may recognise the card format... as this was actually my prototype for my last Stitched Nested Labels cut-out Dandelion Wishes card... more details on that can be found by clicking here...

Simple on Saturday - Daisy Lane #1

Did I tell you that I am really loving my Daisy Lane and Medium Daisy Punch... 

So this is the first of many in a series! 

Probably the simplest ... but oh so effective... especially with the perfect Perennial Essence Floral Centre to finish it off... anyone would think Stampin' Up! planned these!!!! 

Just a punch in the centre of the 7.5cm (3") white panel*... laid onto a 8cm (3 1/4") square Gray Granite mat... and onto a small square card blank (10.5cm from A4... or 4 1/4" from US Letter)

* a 7.5cm (3") white panel is perfect for locating and punching centrally... I point this out now as I changed the size of this panel to 7cm for subsequent cards so as to "save card"... but I will change back to 7.5cm for classes as it is just simpler for everyone that way... saves eyeing things up!

Lollipop Daisy

Case of CASEing myself! Love this way of dressing up your mini Chupa Chup lollies! Click here to see another version way back when! Gulp - 8 years ago!

Though this time I used a photo of an actual Lollipop Daisy I found online to inspire my colour scheme...

 

Yes it appears there is such a thing as a Lollipop Daisy in the Gerbera world...!!

Simple to make care of the lovely new Daisy Lane ...

And my 2 Daisy Punches... Note that the Medium sized Daisy Punch comes in the Bundle... The Large Punch is available separately

Just stamp two, punch two... and stick together... to form one perfect daisy... 

Couple of each size of daisy used... so as to add dimension...

With a 3/16" hole being punched in the centre (using my old but trusty hand Crop A Dile punch)... which then meant I could push the daisies up onto the stick and they remain tight enough to stay in place... And a little tip for the large daisy... you just need to fold a petal to the side so you can get your hand punch into the centre!
