Potting Shed Pop Out Gatefold Card

Oh we all really liked this Garden Shed card...

Which was a good job... as it did take a while to get all the bits together!! Though the card is simple enough at the end...

Using the soon retiring Home & Garden bundle (ooh...  buy both the stamps and dies separately at half price off the Last Chance List come 1st June! Just £23.50 for both ... though I don't think they will stay around for long at that price!

And the must have (IMHO) Timber embossing folder... spot the scored planks we scored... no idea why I'd never thought of doing that before... so simple but so realistic...

Wither the retired and no longer available Bloom Where You're Planted papers and Welcoming Windows bundle for the flower & pots

Fun Fold Friday - Lock & Pop Card - Tidings of Christmas #3

Seemed like a great time to make another of these Lock & Pop cards... as classes start up again....

Closed....

Another card in the series focusing on using the 6 x 6 papers...  featuring Tidings of Christmas and  Merriest Moments for Christmas makes... and using the Stitched So Sweetly dies for my all-time-favourite greeting label...

Opening Up....

Definitely a favourite card fold at the moment... though it probably won't be when I finish the 60+ thank you cards I have on the go at the moment... but more on those another day....

Open... and on display...

Elegantly Said Lock & Pop Card

Returning to my Fancy & Fun Fold Friday posts.... with a Lock & Pop card... as shared by Sam at Mixed Up Craft here... another one I love Sam...

A stunner care of the new Elegantly Said suite.... these foiled Elegantly Said Papers are so stunning... and so elegant! I love them! Along with the Stitched So Sweetly die cut frame...

And I know that these cards will be a real hit when I get back to running classes for a living!

This first one was made especially for my son's birthday...

Though... I couldn't resist adding one of the gorgeous new gold Bumblebee Trinkets which may puzzle him...

Though actually it is a great good luck symbol for him at present... as many of the attributed symbolisms of a bee make sense in his life at present... such as focus, persistence, harmony, loyalty and industrious (as in busy as a bee)

And don't forget to order your Simply Elegant Kit soon... as actually... it forms the base of a nice Class in the Mail with the cards I have already made... so a bonus for you!

Saturday Santa...

Simple Gatefold card... featuring Signs of Santa... tied up with Poppy Parade textured ribbon...

Front mat stamped using the wonderful Buffalo Check background stamp... Just make sure you turn the stamp on its back... ink up...  and then lay your piece of card on top and apply pressure to stamp...
I usually just use my flattened hand to do so... so I add a piece of paper over the top of the piece of card to protect my fingers... Though ( and not in this case) sometimes I use my brayer to apply the pressure over the image too... as that way I know I am getting good even pressure...

Thank you again Julie... another great card made at Training....

Simple for Sunday - Rooted in Nature Gatefold Card

Love this large and bold greeting in the Rooted in Nature stamp set... not only does it say what we need to say... but it is big and bold enough that everything around it can be left simple...

So an A6 Gatefold Card... Copper embossed greeting... Crumb Cake stamped tree trunk "slice"on the stamped circle... Grapefruit Grove and Soft Suede leaves on the Nature's Poem papers and around the stamped circle... Soft Suede scalloped circle... finished off with doubled Crumb Cake Natures Twine
Circles all care of the Layering Circles dies... where would we be without these!

This is a card we made at last month's Monthly Training... so thank you Julie... and click here to see a few other variants using other Nature's Poem  paper patterns on Julie's blog... and the inside (as I forgot to open it up and take a photo of the inside!)

The Garage Card Part 2

So this is how I finished off the Garage card that I started and shared here last Friday...

Loving the Barn Door doors and wrought iron hardware! So glad I purchased this bundle... especially as the stamps and the dies are carrying over to the new 2018-19 Annual Catalogue... though remember that the current 10% bundle discounts do not carry over... so purchase now if you want any of the current stamp & die/punch bundles with 10% discount...

Back to the card... just an added trimmed Soft Suede panel (14.8W x 15.8cmH) to the back.... so the final card fits in a 16.5cm square envelope... plus an extra trimmed Hardwood stamped panel (14 x 5cm) on top of that... They end up sitting really flush... so it is a very neat finished project... This method will be used again...
I left the inside the same... ie really simple... as I want everyone to be able to finish off the decoration with their husband/father/son ... or even daughter in mind (as I know one will be used as a Driving Test congratulations card)... and I know there will be a few Sheds, Potting Sheds, Man Caves... and even Craft Sheds too!

Mine will either have a super sporty car front with a car registration number personalised for my Dad... or a photo of one of his first cars... which will be a difficult choice as he is  - and has always been- a car-loving-man... I could even do a car collage stretching over all 3 inside faces!!
Trimming the extra panels to the apex shape is easy enough... just mark the centre point of the larger panel (at the top) at 7.4cm...lay your gatefold card blank on top...and draw in the 2 lines from either top edge of the gatefold up to the centre mark... and then cut...

Then you can use this to draw and then cut the smaller stamped panel shape...

Though it is even easier for my ladies... as they have a couple of templates to work with....
So the base card is just a 10.5cm x A4L piece of Soft Suede card scored LANDSCAPE at 7.4cm from either side (and I think 4" x 11", scored at 2 3/4" LANDSCAPE from either side from US Letter would be closest - with extra 5 1/2" W x 6 1/4" H  plus 5 1/4" W x 2" H panels... and mark the centre/top at 2 3/4" for your apex)

And the Basic Black panel is 8.5 x 13.2cm ( US Letter 4 3/4" x 3 1/4") to line up with the Barn Door size...

Barn Doors all stamped using Soft Suede ink on Soft Suede cardstock... and then sponged around the edges to add more definition... Though I could have used Wood Textures papers as they were part of the class kit!! I just (stupidly) completely forgot as the creative moment took me... doh...

And a Basic Black stamped greeting from retiring Guy Greetings finishes the card off... still the best male sentiments stamp set ever...

Barn Door Simple Gatefold Garage Card

Well this was a simple little gatefold Garage card I was plotting for my Men in May classes... but then I had a change of heart.... and carried on a little more... though my ladies may indeed do both versions...

So thought I would share this initial prototype... and as I copied the photos on here.... I have just spotted my door setting boo boo!!! Oops... luckily rectified for the final full card...
Using the Barn Door bundle... available in Wood and Clear Mount...

And I will leave the background to... and plans for final decoration for... this card until another day...

But in the meantime... it is just a 10.5cm x A4L piece of Soft Suede card scored LANDSCAPE at 7.4cm from either side (and I think 4" x 11", scored at 2 3/4" from either side from US Letter would be closest)
Doors also stamped and sponged using Soft Suede ink on Soft Suede card...

What's in your Wardrobe?

Double Doors using Hearth & Home window die ...
Double Wardrobe with Iced Rhinestone Embellishments for the handles...
Can you guess what's hiding inside yet??
Surprise!! The snowmen and penguin are playing dress up...
These Snow Place/Snow Friends stamps and dies are just so cute!!
Difficult to see as I forgot to add any wallpaper to my little changing room....
But there is also a Hearth & Home chest of drawers and mirror in the centre of the scene...
Just a simple Gatefold card... can't call this a Fancy Fold... but maybe a Fun Fold...? As I had so much fun dressing up my little "people" and chest of drawers... I was giggling all the way....
