Picture Perfect Birthday Gift Bow Narrow Gift card

I am loving the new Whisper White Narrow Notecards and Envelopes... and great seeing as my class ladies seem to be on their "do it small" kick for the New Year!

So a simple little card for you today... with Berry Burst and Pool Party/Bermuda Bay gift bows using the two-step stamping pair from the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set... love the wording in this set... truly great little set...
And again those little Stampin Spots work a treat... aren't these a lovely little colour set...
Spot that I stamped off my Berry Burst inked "filler" stamp onto scratch paper before stamping/filling in the bows... ie using the top right stamp in the set image above
As Stampin Up says about these notecards...
Make someone smile by sending them a note on one of these cute little cards.
* Small and narrow
* 20 Thick Whisper White cards and 20 envelopes
* Note card: 2-1/2" x 4-1/2" (6.4 x 11.4 cm)
* Envelope: 2-3/4" x 4-3/4" (7 x 12.1 cm)

And as my local Post Office says...
Fine to post in the UK... but be aware that smaller envelopes can get lost in the system more easily... so you may wish to pop into a standard sized envelope if it is something important...
And an admittance... my ladies last week didn't realise these were gift bows.... which is code for a completely different usage for these coming sometime soon...

Picture Perfect Birthday Class Favourite....

I think a new phase has entered a couple of my card classes... as we go small!!

So this simple dinky little 3" Square card to pop in one of the carryover 3" Square Envelopes... was one of the Picture Perfect Party class favourites this week... and this was the other one out of interest...
And I had to laugh as these are both just stamped... and before Christmas I had promised them faithfully that I would use more papers as per their request.... lol! Like that turnabout myself!!

And I also laughed at the fact that these were stated to be the favourites... but (as usual) it was the 2 simple but Fancy Fold ones that had their attention (as they flicked them back and forth proudly) at class close-up...

Picture Perfect Party Pop Out Swing Card for Fancy Fold Friday

Wow... that's a tongue twister! Think I may have to come up with a new name in class!!

So this card tutorial has proven very popular for the last 6 months in the 6" form... so thought I should remake a 5 1/2" square one using A4 (or US Letter size) card... and show you where that tutorial is...
Though I have had to make the central square cut out differently this time... as sadly those larger Square Framelits are no longer available.... so I also took the opportunity to make the border slightly wider....
So here is how I cut out that central square (which I did after I stuck the paper onto the card)... the rest of the details are as per the original tutorials...

Using the trimmer- go in 1”/2.5 cm from each side – aka line up on the Top Bar at 1”/2.5cm (or 4 1/2"/11.5cm as relevant as you turn it round!) on the Top Bar and cut from 1" to 4 1/2" (2.5 to 11.5cm) … on all 4 sides...
Click here for the 5 1/2" square A4 (US Letter) tutorial..
Click here for the larger 6" version tutorial... [note cuts for central square would be at and from 1" to 5" (2.5cm to 12.5cm) on this one]

Heartfelt Blooms #3 - in Bermuda Bay

Now I think this has to be the favourite of my Heartfelt Blooms cards... simple to produce but stunning in the flesh...

Will work for any colour you fancy! I think my customer thank you cards for this month just maybe a rainbow of colours! Just so I can test that out for you...

In fact if you place an online order... drop me an email telling me your favourite colour and I can make one personally just for you! And I promise to use my trusty Stamp A Ma Jig... which I didn't with this one!! Oops... lazy me...
Simply inked up in Bermuda Bay and stamped onto a Stitched Shapes die cut square (largest)... with an Archival Black stamped greeting from the set matted onto Basic Black (7 cm/2 3/4")...

Then matted onto a small square Bermuda Bay card (10.5cm or I'd use 4 1/4" in US)... which has been stamped around the edge with the image in Bermuda Bay... amazing subtle looks-textured detail... which you can see best on the first photo...

Finished off with a little bow in the new 1/4" Organza White Ribbon... love this one... especially as I can change it to any colour I like...

And oh look ... here is the Bermuda Bay duo... now you can tell how small yesterday's card is!
More product details on yesterdays post too...

Heartfelt Blooms #2 ... in Bermuda Bay

Now this one is small... only being about the height of my bricks! With a special little detail!

A little 3" square card designed to fit in the 3" Square Envelopes... which are a carryover item from the Autumn Winter catalogue
As they say... the best things come in small packages! I love this image just in mono-colour on something small like this... sets it off nicely...

And the extra little detail... look closely...
Yes 3 little dew drops in the morning sun... care of the new Glitter & Epoxy Shapes... so the one on the right/centre is just clear... whereas the other 2 have a slight glittery sheen... beautiful subtle finishing touch!!

Oh and spot the teardrop shape in these Shapes too... love them!
But I can't take credit for the dew drop idea... there are a couple actually designed into the Heartfelt Blooms stamp ... such is the detail in this image...

And the card recipe for you...
3" (7.5cm) Thick Whisper White Square card...
2 1/2" (6.5cm) Square Bermuda Bay mat...
2 5/16" (5.9cm) Square Basic Black mat...
and 2 1/4" (5.6cm) Whisper White panel...
Want to see more of the Heartfelt Blooms stamp (that can be earned for free during Sale A Bration with a £45 order)... available in clear mount... or wood mount

Well here is the set image...

First and second stamping of the Lemon Lime Twist and Bermuda Bay gift bows to achieve the four... then same again but the other way round with the filler in stamp... finished off with the lovely greeting in Archival Black

I used the largest Stitched Shapes frame...a 7cm square Lemon Lime Twist mat... and set on a small Bermuda Bay 9.9cm square card

Baby Pandas...

So when the partying is over for the Party Pandas... the baby pandas can play!

So a cute mini panda for you... now I just need to find a stamp set with the words Welcome Little One...
And a sweet little card made to celebrate a one year milestone for someone very cute I know! It was perfect as his first cuddly toy was a Panda (not that I knew that until they got the card! But there were tears!!)

And yes... I just fussy cut my standing Panda from the Party Pandas Sale A Bration set... just like this!
And then popped the head down onto the body to make my mini one... the top of the "note" forming the bottom of the head in the mini panda....

Also note that you need to trim the top of the baby panda body... behind the arms at the left and right hand side... you can see the left hand part needing trimming below...
Also used Milestone Moments and Picture Perfect Birthday stamps.... and Stitched Shapes dies...

His little hat is in Picture Perfect Birthday... and also the Happy (on the candle) and Birthday (centre bottom) stamp... I just inked up each word separately with the Basic Black marker pen and stamped separately... with a good clean in between!

How to make the Lots of Happy Kit Hexagon card stand up...

I have seen lots and lots of comments about the hexagon shaped card in the Lots of Happy Kit card not being able to made so it stands up...

So I thought I would quickly share that it can... and how it can!

The instructions with the card show it as a non-standing version...
So you would colour the panel and assemble it like so...
So just ignore that!!

You want to do this instead... as the centre all gets covered up in any case...
Or more accurately... I would assemble it like this! So then you know it is going to stand up when you finish! So this would be the photo to pin!
Then you can add the other parts... The gold foil banner and ribbons...
The stamped panel...
And finishing off with the little die cut flowers... although I decided  not to hide mine under the stamped panel like the original...
And there you have it... one hexagon card that can stand up...
Isn't it pretty! And a beautiful envelope for it too...
Beautiful card kit... has to be the best one yet!  First kit refill I have ever bought! So more on this kit another day... as there is plenty you can do to get creative with the base kit...
And I LOVE the box it comes in... reckon my Stamparatus will look fabulous in there!

But in the meantime... here are all the contents... to make 20 cards... 4 each of 5 designs... I would just recommend adding (or having on hand) a Blender Pen... Paper Snips ( to cut the ribbon) , Tear n Tape and (optionally) Tombow adhesive...
And the lovely stamps... some lovely sentiments in here... and more on the one I won't use as is another day...
Love it all... Just £31.50 for the full kit... and only £19 for the 20 card refill! Bargain... and wouldn't it make a lovely gift.... And ooh... buy both for £50.50... 40 cards to make.... and you get a Sale A Bration promotional item for free too!

And oh a video for you too... just click on the pic... but ignore the assembly orientation of the hexagon card... unless you don't want it too stand up...
