Simple Wednesday WOW Wedding card...

I love to make a really big card from time to time...

And this was one of those times... featuring Bouquet of Love ....

Big Congratulations to the Happy Couple...

Oh and Bouquet of Love with its fabulous hybrid embossing folder still available... but not for long! And even better... available to order from 1st June at half price!!! Just £13.50 for the folder and co-ordinating dies...

Sorry to have gone AWOL for a while... I was busy creating for a class.. and then had various - for no apparent reason - aches and pains... which is stopping me from spending as much time on the PC as I need...

But I now have lots of cards created and ready to to share over the next few weeks... so lets hope those niggles just "do one"... and I can get back to doing things more normally...

Simple on Sunday - Bouquet of Love embossed squares card

A simple stunner in the flesh!

Love that you get a flat heart section on the panels surrounding the central raised die cut heart... though not sure how well that can be seen in the photo...

Directions

Simply embossing a 12cm square Whisper White panel with the Bouquet of Love embossing folder...

Cutting into 9 x 4cm squares...

Sticking to the edges of a 12.5cm square Smoky Slate panel... starting at the 4 corners... This is the simplest accurate way of lining up square like these...

Then sticking that panel to a larger 13cm Smoky Slate square... then to a 14.cm square card blank...

Die cutting a heart, flowers and leaves using the Bouquet of Love dies... and stamping a greeting with Smoky Slate...

And finishing off with a crinkly white ribbon bow

Parisian Flourish Embossed Card

Another short and sweet post for today...
An incredibly simple embossed card using the wonderful new Parisian Flourish embossing folder... definitely one of my all time favourite embossing folders...
Hopefully the card just says it all... care of the Beautiful Bouquet greeting...

Meant to Bee....

Or should I say... when is a "bee" not a "be"...

Short and sweet for today... as I am full of cold this week... so nothing has quite gone to plan! But I just had to pop on and share...
Easel Spinner card tutorial and more details here... and today's papers are just the reverse of the papers used in that card...

Bee fussy cut from the Golden Honey papers (from the centre of the die cut heart)
And extra "e" from the "Be" on the Meant To Be stamp - just the "e" inked up using a marker pen... and lined up using my tried and trusted (but sadly retired) Stamp A Ma Jig....

But do make sure your stamp is VERY clean before you do this...

Meant To Be Mine Simplest Card... and Latest News...

So today we have some very #simplestamping (plus a die cut!) cards... suitable for Valentine, Wedding Anniversary... or even Weddings...

But before I start... Quick news flash...  Sales for the following items have exceeded forecast.
Butterfly Duet Punch (item 148523)
Cake Builder Punch (item 148525)
Although not currently on backorder, the stock is expected to be gone soon and then they will no longer be orderable until new stock is received (towards the end of March).  Also known as... if you want the Cake or the Butterfly bundles...please order now and so avoid disappointment...
In the meantime...when these are unorderable... if you enter item numbers for either of these products (or the relevant bundle) on an order, you will receive a pop-up notification asking if you would like to be notified via e-mail when they are back in stock. This will allow you to be notified immediately when the status changes for these items and they are again available for purchase.
Also...due to unprecedented demand... the Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack is no longer available for Sale-A-Bration.
And the beautiful Sale A Bration Botanical Butterfly paper  is currently on back order... but you can order now and it will follow at the beginning of February...
So back to the cards...
White embossed and die cut Crumb Cake heart... with Lovely Lipstick greeting... on a 14cm Square ( 5 1/2") Thick Whisper White card blank...
And Lovely Lipstick stamped & die cut Crumb Cake heart with White embossed greeting... and a Whisper White die cut heart "border" to finish... set on a 10.5cm Square (US 4 1/4") Crumb Cake card blank
And I have to laugh at the angle of this photo...anyone would think the cards are the same size...

Merry Monday! Hope it makes you laugh too!?

Nope not my first Christmas post of the year yet... but something rather different today... as I just had to laugh when these photos were sent to me and I hope that you do too....

So... as mentioned in my 9 year Stampin' Up! Anniversary post yesterday... For 5 years I have had a lovely group of "School Mum's" that come and craft with me once a month... it is our time to see each other & keep in touch now that we don't hang around at the school gate, swap a few stories, have lunch, have a bit of a gossip... and make some incredible projects! 4 of us met as our son's have been great school friends for years... and we also have family camping and bunk barn holidays together...

But it appears that the boys (aka Big Boys... aka Husbands) have been feeling left out... and reckon they are organising their own crafty sessions behind our backs... as the greeting in this card surely shows!!!
Lovely Anniversary card Andrew! Right up my street... But be careful what you wish for...
I have now taken on the new challenge of a " Boxes for the Boys" session when we are next all together later in August!!! I hope that you all enjoy it Andrew!!!

And Happy Anniversary Andrea and Andrew...

PS My husband, Jon was denying it all!!! Maybe he had too much craft beer to remember that particular session!!

So Detailed & Falling In Love Six Panel Pop & Twist Card

Though I would share another version of my Six Panel Pop Up & Twist Card... this is set on a 5 1/2" Square card (as the perfect size for the gorgeous So Detailed die-cut border) whereas the Silver card shared here yesterday was set on a standard A6 Tent Fold Card

This is one of the cards we will be making in my February So In LoveFalling In Love Suite  classes... a few spaces left on some if you want to join us... just go here to check out currently planned dates - or email me here if you want to set up a private class for you and some friends... I am located between York and Harrogate in Yorkshire (UK) ...
I actually don't think the photos do this card justice as it is so dreamy and beautiful in the flesh...and just perfect for a Wedding card... the delicate flower die cut and lacy background setting it all off...

And I am pleased with this update for another reason...  I don't know if you can tell from the photos... this version has much more pronounced side panels than on the card yesterday! Much better!
Now I thought about sharing the Tutorial today... but I have a last tweak I want to try out... so bear with me! Edited to Add... Tutorial now posted here...

Oh and the front... again purposefully left simple so that the opening WOW is left to the max for the recipient...

For The New Two Wedding Swing Easel Card

Last Swing Easel Card! For now...
I had a special request for a Wedding Card...
And with the bells in the Cozy Christmas set...It was easy enough to oblige... the christmas greenery was just cut off!
I did think I would have my pre-order box (with my new Bloomin Love stamp set) ...but it arrived the day later...so I had to quickly find my retired best seller ever Flowerful Heart and push it into service again...
The heart is stamped in retired gold Encore ink - with the greeting gold embossed over the top...
I had to heat gun dry the heart ... but small flecks of gold embossing powder still stuck to it...which actually looks rather cool...
The wedding card requester was very happy... and so was another lady who got to make a Gold Wedding Anniversary card she needed...

Big but Clean & Simple LOVE card

Artisan Embellishments Flowers LOVE Feb 2015 by Amanda Bates at The Craft Spa (1)

More from my All Day Workshop…. you can’t get much more CAS than this… but there have been a lot of oohs, squeals and WOWs over this card! That being said it is a large card… an A5 long card… ie nearly 12” wide and just over 4” high for my imperial buddies!

Artisan Embellishments Flowers LOVE Feb 2015 by Amanda Bates at The Craft Spa (2)

Now having bought the Artisan Embellishments kit to get the flower ribbon to do one particular thing…. I had used something else to do that thing! So I looked at the stunning flowers ribbon and knew I had to come up with something else!

And so a matching card to go with yesterdays mini book came to mind…..

It particularly works as the class kit included a piece of the wonderful Canvas Creations… just gives the background a great texture… making this a card very special with incredible soft dimension…. so tactile! Both the flower letters & the background…

That being said… as a girl that is not into pinks….. I began to call this the Marmite card… I couldn’t work out whether I loved it or hated it!! Luckily everyone else LOVED it! So what do I know…..

So how are the letters done… Simples…. cut rose ribbon into following lengths, apply a glue dot to the back of each rose and arrange on the card! Lovely and quick…

4 roses x 3; 3 roses x 1; 2 roses x 3 and 1 rose x 1

L is 4 down & 2 across

V is 4 down the left and 3 up the right

E is 4 down. 2 across at top & bottom and the single in the middle

And the O is the gorgeous wreath from the Your Perfect Day stamp set. Hand-cut and 3Dd onto the card….

Think this will be my Parents Wedding Anniversary card this year….

Something Borrowed Tri Fold Mini Book

Artisan Embellishments & Something Borrowed TriFold Mini Book by Amanda Bates at The Craft Spa (1)

Staying on the projects made at my various workshops run last week. This was another project we made at my lovely All Dayer on Saturday.

A mini book using the Something Borrowed papers and featuring the Artisan Embellishments kit.

Though I had to laugh as I had to own up for my determination to use the Artisan Embellishments kit….. see that gorgeous die cut rose panel on the front cover… yes for those… but I could only use one of them in the project…. the other one was for another use!! But more on that another day….

Artisan Embellishments & Something Borrowed TriFold Mini Book by Amanda Bates at The Craft Spa (4)

This project is a re-make of a mini book I had designed previously – one that has always been one of our favourites over this part of the Stampin’ Up! world  – but in these papers – well I was in heaven! And luckily so was everyone else!

Add the new Our Perfect Day and co-ordinating For the New Two stamp sets – and what a perfect gift for a Wedding – or for a special Wedding Anniversary…though the JUST married sentiment would have to be changed for an anniversary!

And I have to own up to particularly loving the stamped and cut-in-half doilies on the outer page sections. They lift up so you can still slide a photo under if needs be…. such a delicate addition!

Now I am hoping that I may have some more photos of this book to share in the near future … as everyone made the outer book cover in different colours as I thought it was better made from the slightly more robust coloured cardstock… so – instead of the Whisper White in my sample. We had Blackberry Bliss (wow!) , Blushing Bride (dreamy) and Rich Razzleberry (rich!)– all of which looked stunning – but – silly me - I let them all go without taking any photos!!
