Global Stampin Friends Blog Hop - Delightfully Detailed 3D Box Frame

Hello and welcome to the Global Stampin Friends Blog Hop... with a theme of Home Decor... so there are lots of lovely projects and a wide variety as you would expect... and you will certainly travel all around our Stampin Up globe today as you hop around....
My project is one that popped straight into my mind as I opened my first pack of Delightfully Detailed papers... a beautifully laser cut detailed 12" x 12" Box Frame to hang on my wall... and a few others in Yorkshire too....
Delightfully Detailed Laser-cut Specialty Paper
And I also needed some more papers to use for the 3D flowers... so I also got to use some of my overall favourite new papers, Twinkle Twinkle... which luckily are on the Buy 3... Get a Fourth pack for Free offer we have on at the moment... Click here for more information on that promotion...
Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper
Blink and you will miss it but I also used the Subtle embossing folder on the white centre square... which adds texture... think of the old textured cardstocks... whether Stampin Up ... or Bazzill...
Letters care of Large Letters dies... die cut from the Twinkle Twinkle papers ... and then the Soft Sea Foam &  Gray Granite letters overstamped using leafy images from Rooted in Nature... and I used 3 layers so that I could pop Mini Dimensionals on the back to add depth...

Flowers are Kusudama origami flowers... click here for the photo instructions I used... And spot the flower centres... cut out from the centre of the 12x12 Delightfully Detailed paper piece as I cut away a fair amount of the centre as it gets covered... and one of the new Adhesive Sequins popped over too.

Leaves are stamped, embossed and die cut leaves... using the Rooted in Nature bundle
Originally I was plotting on the expression of Home Sweet Home... but the 3 lines were too tall in height for my 6" square textured centrepiece... so I had to come up with a plan B (and then C, D etc)... so I had ENJOY LIFE, LOVE LIFE and CARPE DIEM... and I wonder what others we will come up with tomorrow in the class!!
So that is my project for today... and now it is time to pass you onto the lovely Susan also in the UK... just click on the big arrow... I know you won't be disappointed...

So bye until next time... Although if you like daily crafty inspiration... you could always subscribe to follow my blog by email, Google Friend Connect or other RSS feed... look down the right hand side to subscribe...

And here is the full Roll Call... in case of any glitches as you go round... or if you prefer it that way...

New Swing Easel Card Tutorial for Fancy Fold Friday

Time for new card designs with new papers for new classes... but a return to one of my card design classics, the Swing Easel card... for which a large amount of people still visit me daily (probably via Pinterest of course!) for the 12x12 version tutorial... and the A4 version tutorial...

And now was the time to re-make as the format is perfect for the papers I am using for July and August classes... so today is the time for Twinkle Twinkle... (have I told you these are my favourite papers!!! And that they are on the 4for3 Sale promotion running this month... ) and a re-size to my original Swing Easel card...
As I always intended to do another Tutorial for the Swing Easel Card... for a 5 1/2" Square version from US Letter card (or 14cm from A4 card)... so roll on a few years.. and here it is... though I am sure the internet is already awash with a US Letter 5 1/2" in both word and video form.... but still... apologies that it has taken me so long...
But whilst I was there... on a Swing Card that is... I couldn't resist trying out another idea I had had for the card... think you will like that one even more... but more on that next week...

And I thought I would try something different... a PDF tutorial for you too... Just click on the photo to upload and/or save and/or print etc ...
And please let me know what you think of the pdf version... either in comments...  or in my contact me form down the right hand side of my blog...

We used this bundle of products for our last Quarterly Team Training... so some are as designed by Julie Kettlewell... and some (including this one) are as designed by me!

I was unable to attend the whole day... so luckily I had photos of most of the projects in advance so that I could get on with all the stamping and punching... so for once I finished them all... but some were different to that intended...
So this simple little card is a Small Square (10.5cm Square aka US Letter 4 1/4") Thick Whisper White card blank ...with a 10cm Square (US 4") paper mat... A Soft Sea Foam die cut scalloped Layering Squares square with a Thick Whisper White Stitched Shapes Square...

Greetings stamped in Highland Heather... first and second stampings to get the variety in depth of colour... Vase and flowers stamped in Memento Black... Vase on Pool Party papers then punched... flower then stamped in Pool Party ink... with a white sequin to finish
And a summary of the stamp & punch bundle details for you...  click here for the full Varied Vases bundle (with 10% off) ... which is in my opinion... a stunning stamp and punch set... with so many images and creative choice... love it! Especially as it is a punch!!! Simples!

And some samples created by the Stampin Up concept artists... I for one just love those "empty" and then colour blocked vases in the card to the right...
